What's Up? Wednesday PWYC
What's up today? I never know around here. This a.m. a truck showed up in the driveway and I was throwing my clothes on to greet someone unexpectedly. He hooked up the big ole' trailer dumpster and towed it off! Surprises abound everyday!

Re: What's Up? Wednesday PWYC
Otherwise what's up today is more of the same. Dh is out tonight. I have a Zoom at three p.m. - a larger meeting so I mainly have to listen. The one on Monday was one on one, the one last night had four of us. One in this group turned in her portfolio, so she won't be showing up every other week on a regular basis. I was hoping to be the first to submit, but wasn't to be. I must get this thing landed and on the ground and move on!
The drywall guy will be back today, and there's supposed to be a roofer sometime also for a small repair. Dh thinks it started where roof of the screen porch was connected last year - not a leak, just a shingle that looks out of place.
I need to wrap up a.m. routine (shower, make the bed, what else?) and get upstairs. I have recycling out, have done most else. Don't need to do laundry today.

Re: What's Up? Wednesday PWYC
Good morning!
I am off schedule this morning so will need to play catch up at some point today. I got out of bed 48 minutes after the alarm went off which means I didn't get my hair washed/bath before taking DD11 to school. I just threw my clothes on and fixed hair so it wasn't quite so scary. DD11 chatted on the way to school and was still talking (and smiling) as she exited the vehicle.
I shopped online for pantry and freezer staples. I knew it would be a big order, so I wanted to get it ordered in time to pick it up tomorrow after my infusion therapy. I will need to make a stop by a different store because elbow macaroni has been hard to find lately.
Next up - homeschool with DS14

Re: What's Up? Wednesday PWYC
Slept quite poorly again last night -F itbit says I got 4 hours/2 minutes and I think that may have been exaggerating a bit. I fell asleep a few minutes into my book but then woke up. Once I'm awake I find myself thinking of what's happening with dh. Sure many of you can relate. Keep waiting to hear something on the cardiology front.
Have an eye appointment for myself tomorrow at 4:10. (I do like my appointments in the afternoon). Dh, not so much -he'll take 7:30am if he can get it. At least now his endoscopy is scheduled for a decent time (9:45am). When it was set for October 3rd it was 6:45am. When I do take him for that I have to just drop him off and go back to get him about 4 hours later. So, will have to come home. May stop and pick up groceries on the way home.
Finally got a refund check from health insurance for the amount I paid way back in January or February to the dentist for my 1st visit. Since they don't take my insurance (or my insurance doesn't cover them -something) I pay the entire bill and then hope to get reimbursed. This was $124 so a welcome check. Think I still have about $120 outstanding owed me. My next appointment isn't until November 10th and hopefully it won't take as long to get reimbursed.
Spent a lot of time doing dishes and sprucing the kitchen today.
Just finished putting the bigger pots away. I'll let the rest of the dishes drain dry. Have to go do a LOL once dh comes back with the cart.
Looked & looked for a paper with my list of hand exercises on it yesterday. My hand, namely the finger I broke in 2 places has become very stiff and painful. I've been working at trying to loosen it up, but it doesn't seem to be working. I finally had a light bulb moment and found the file in my folder with the list of what the exercises are. So, now to FAITHFULLY do them and see if it'll help. Also having a lot of pain in that wrist where I broke it and assume it's all because of arthritis. Actually that finger still looks swollen -36 weeks later.

Now I have an earworm, bw2! An earworm is when you get a tune in your head and it just keeps playing.
Like I said, I never know who is going to show up these days. The elder J is back - he took care of the loose shingles where the screened porch was reroofed last year, and is putting glass in the tiny cabinets that go around the top (I'm afraid my kitchen is going to look like a closed in cabin on a ship with tiny portholes all around) He also let me know that tiling the kitchen happens tomorrow. Things are happening!

Re: What's Up? Wednesday PWYC
Homeschool is done. Spanish is becoming overwhelming instead of just challenging so I took the time to make a cheat sheet in hope that it helps.
Lunch is a big green salad with mixed vegetables & chicken.
With the start of school and painting project I have let some things slide. Unfortunately taking care of my health is one of those things that have not been happening. I decided on the days that I gain weight that I will log my food in cronometer. Today is a weight gain day so I've opened the cronometer app to use. It feels rewarding to me to do this because I make better choices. My memory is being refreshed of things I've learned from the recent online classes I've taken. I know what to do and I want to do it, but I just haven't been focusing and following through.
I need to watch my time this afternoon to fit everything in.
** take curtains down in DS14 bedroom.
** repair any wall owies (I don't remember seeing any on this wall but I need to look with fresh eyes).
** Paint 2nd coat on yesterday wall and 1st coat on today's wall.
** Finish routines including washing hair and bath.
** pick DD11 up from school
** Join others in prep'ing meal for church family. Tonight, we restart the weekly Wednesday night meals. We take a break from Wednesday night meals during summer.
** Take care of the newborns through 2 year olds in the nursery. I usually have 4 or 5 littles. They are easy to take care of because I've learned each of their personalities. The biggest challenge is that most of them are tired because it is past their bedtime. I use educational videos (youtube) for the ones that just want to relax instead of playing.
