Move it Monday PWYC
Good morning all!
Lovely sunrise here.
Lovely winter scene out the window because we had an unexpected 5" of snow yesterday.
I actually went back to confirm it was unexpected and the 5 a.m. Sunday forecast was still open in my browser. It said flurries in the late afternoon (along with the winds becoming negligible.) The snow started hard around 11. The winds never died down.
Hopefully part of my move it will be a short (under 30 minutes) walk in the sun (and bitter cold.) And maybe a short walk looking at Christmas lights in the evening.

Re: Move it Monday PWYC
HRH has an appt this morning without me. Just shooed him to get ready.
Last evening, I cleared away the wrapping project and set up the small sewing project and worked there at the bar in the den. I'll reverse when the next three gifts finally (?) arrive, in the same delivery we hear. Not counting on it because we got an email today saying one non-gift computer mouse was unavailable after all.
Also, last evening I started my first batch of bean sprouts since the move. I let my little plastic sprouter contraption go to Goodwill then, thinking it could easily be found again if I wanted. We had to let go of so many things. But I can't find another anywhere, so I'm doing this old-school in a bowl. Broccoli sprouts turned out lovely and are in the fridge now. Will start another batch tonight.

Re: Move it Monday PWYC
Good Morning!
Today is the last Monday of 2022 with our focus on school. I just came back from delivering DD11 to public school and have checked twice on DS14 as he is working on homeschool assignments. Countdown is underway....only 3 more days of school this year.
DH and his brother are teaming up to take their sister to a big city hospital. She will have surgery today to remove cancer from colon. It will be a long day for all of them. Side note - DMIL would be so proud of her kids for coming together and supporting each other during difficult times.
When I pick DD11 up from school we will immediately leave for the city. DD11 has a much needed appt with counselor. I am making the most of the time spent in the city by placing two orders to be picked up. One of the curbside pickup orders will be picked up before DD11 appt and the other curbside pickup order will happen after her appt. There are several bulky items (case of toilet paper, 50lb bags of dog food, case of paper towels, etc) so I will need to lay seats down and expect the SUV will be full. Somewhere in between those activities we will also get some food. Everyone is in transit this evening so fast food will happen.
DS14 will be home alone this evening. He loves the idea of being in charge of himself. He is eager to grow up and be on his own. There is NO chance this kid will have failure to launch and live in our basement.
Speaking of failure to launch....this morning on the way to school DD11 asked when I am going to start giving her driving lessons.
I have managed to sidetrack myself. Back to my routines.

Harriet - YGG with sprouting! I love hearing about your efforts and successes. I'm sure you have your favorite ways to sprout. I seem to go in phases and alternate between different ways of growing greens. I tried several different ways over the years and always come back to a mason jar with the sprout lids. I do love growing microgreens and sprouts and watching them develop. Bonus for me is the healthy aspect of the product. I am currently cutting off springs of basil and mint from the window and putting them in my daily drinks. I enjoy the smells of them each time I take a sip.
Argh1 i sidetracked myself AGAIN.

Re: Move it Monday PWYC
I need to get moving and to be productive today since I lose all of tomorrow to dgs and likely all of Wednesday to 'mental/physical' shutdown after so many days going full speed and then the physical and mental energy required to care for dgs by myself.
I see many of you are wrapping. I either have to wrap or to move the presents out of the dining room. I already moved them out of the living room just in case they showed up in the background of my camera while on a skype call with the grands.
It is house blessing day but that's being moved to Wednesday or Thursday. I'm realistic, if nothing else.
Even so, there will be some housework today as I have to air out (and I guess damp mop since vacuuming feels like a bad idea with an airborne virus) the rooms dh has been in.
I need to figure out what I'm doing with the bedding. His side of the bed has only been used since Friday (same with the spare bed) so I think bedding can wait but I might change pillow cases.
I will need to test for Covid before taking dh to the hotel. If I test positive, dh can skip the hotel (but we still have to pay for it.)
I need to package up all the food dh will need while at the hotel (I think we'll have a really early dinner and then I'll only have to take over his breakfast stuff which I can prep while making his breakfast this morning.) He said something about just having the breakfast buffet which upsets me. One would hope that people who know they have Covid are not touching things in a hotel breakfast buffet.
I have to work on paperwork more productively than I have been. And then move the remaining piles to some place dgs won't touch them.
I have to move out all of dgs' toys (they are in bins behind a screen in the living room) and take a picture of everything I have out in reach so that I know what I'm looking for after he leaves. The things are out, within reach, so that he will play with them so this is 'work' I'm making for myself in order to help him enjoy his first Christmas with mobility. Actually, the farm set pieces make up one of the accessible creche scenes. He's got some words now, including baby and sheep, so we can work on other words from the creche scenes. We might even put some of the decorations on the tree!
Oops, this sat here forever.
Sent an email in that time.
Dh is up so I'm going to take my shower now. The bedroom is airing since I have to go into it and pull out my travel hair dryer.

Re: Move it Monday PWYC
I had a great weekend but it was a little overshadowed by the cemetery chair lady calling me on Friday afternoon to tell me that a $600 check I wrote her bounced. I knew we had plenty of money in the account but worried that I had added a zero or two on when paying an online bill. I had an up and down night since I got it OMM last night at bedtime, knowing that I had to hightail it to the bank this a.m. to find out what was going on. So it turned out that what she received was the bank notice that said she couldn't deposit a check and then draw on it immediately, i.e., drawing on uncollected funds. That had to do with her own account balance, not that the check she deposited had bounced. After the bank, I stopped for a latte then called her to explain that the cemetery account was fine.
The other possible reason I was up and down last night was that I took my morning meds twice yesterday a.m. at the cabin. I was packing my things up and laid them out to take because I didn't have water. Then I realized I had the last of the water I had used in the CPAP so I took them. Then I got stuff downstairs and sat down and thought I hadn't taken them. So I went back upstairs and they weren't sitting on the dresser where I had put them so I thought I had put them back in the container. So back downstairs, I took the extra meds out of my backpack and took them. (I always travel with extra in case we're delayed overnight.) Realized it later when I was thinking about how I only used one water bottle for the CPAP this trip. I was worried about the effect of the extra Gabapentin and felt restless trying to sleep. So now I'm doubting my sanity in not remembering I had already taken meds.
So here I am this Monday a.m. I've done little of a.m. routine but have resolved the first item on my OMM list for the day. The other two are scheduling lunch with dcousin including a trip to the cemetery, and making some Christmas cards - a pleasurable pursuit that I hate to push off to next week. And I need to reboot for a weekend away.
I can't believe I wasted an hour and lots of worry over something that wasn't real. The cemetery board chair is getting older and sometimes I think she's not all together. (Not that I necessarily am.) And I doubt I could explain to her what drawing on uncollected funds means. (Update, before I got ready to post this I called temple admin lady and it turns out the older lady had back surgery last week so had some pain meds happening.)

Working for 45 min. beginning at :15 after. Working on a.m. routine and other assorted tasks.
I messaged dcousin and we're set up for tomorrow for lunch and to go to cemetery.
I can work on cards some this afternoon. I'll shower late this afternoon (was so wound up that I washed up a little earlier and headed out.) We're having dinner out with dfriends tonight.

Me too! I am thinking of a combination of fresh snow and Christmas lights.I am imagining d Kathryn's beautiful view
DS14 is moving right along in his schoolwork today. He just took a break to get something to eat.
My paper food planner is working well for the 3rd day in a row. I give myself a smiley face every time I eat what is on my menu plan. I find it funny that I am motivated by earning those hand drawn smiley faces. It doesn't make sense to my logical side of the brain, but I'll take the mini successes and be happy about them.
