Write it down Wednesday PWYC

Post by Twins' Mom »

Write it down! Whether its trying to remember those pesky to dos or journaling our innermost thoughts, filtering it through a writing utensil onto paper preserves and locks the thought in.

Hi! Today is "Wet Jobs Wednesday" on my schedule. Because every garbage can in the house was getting full, I asked dh to help me deal with the garbage, and he did. I also did both kitty litter boxes. Then I washed the living room and kitchen floors while he was having breakfast. When he was done I did the bathroom floor. After all the floors dry I need to empty and refill the dishwasher and switch over the laundry. After the bathroom floor dries, I need to do the tub/shower.

I did next to nothing yesterday, but I read James Patterson's biography. It was a quick and easy read with each "chapter" being 2 1/2 pages or less.

It's not even 10 a.m. and I am almost done all the wet jobs, other than the casserole dish from last night needing to soak.

Morning..

I’m writing down the errands I need to run and a grocery list. Just stepped out of the shower and drinking my second cup of coffee. Already been to my exercise class.

HD
Bank
Grocery store
Target
Dollar store

Worked on my office yesterday and it’s a mess cause I’ve pulled a lot off of my bookshelves. Waiting for some 3 ring notebooks to come so I can revamp the ones I have. I want the notebooks to be all the same so the shelves look neater and fit better.

I’m gonna be a bad girl and leave my bed partially made. I usually do it first thing in the morning but I got up late and had to run to class. Still working on clutter and putting together my planner.

I have a quiet day and don't need to ge out of the house today, except that dh asked me earlier if I would go to the cleaners for him today. I told him to "Write it down!" so it's on my list for the day, lol.

I need to decide whether to cook our supper tonight or go out. Dh will be out of town tomorrow a.m. to late Saturday afternoon or early evening, so I feel like perhaps cooking. We have scallops in the freezer so I'll try to use them up. (Honestly, they're from Costco and I'm not crazy about their fishy smell so using them up could be a good plan.) I have salad fixins and will roast butternut squash. Instacart shopper said grocery was out of butternut squash and got a cut 1/2 of a squash, so that should be used also.

I'm enjoying not needing to be out of the house. But looking at weather, I should go to the grocery today instead of tomorrow - we have rain coming in again.

In the spirit of writing it down:
-finish article today, lay aside to proof in a couple of days
-cleaners
-venmo $ to dd (get bank account set up again)
-grocery?

Supper: scallops, roasted butternut squash, green salad.

Ya'll - I have researched so much in Greene Co TN that when I write green salad I try to spell it Greene.

Good Morning!

Yesterday went as well as it could. Everything got done and I had lots of enjoyable moments in the day so I guess it could be considered a success. However, I don't prefer having that many time dependent appts back-to-back.

This morning has been nonstop doing. As I sat down to put my feet up, I noticed I would have 6 minutes available before the next alarm went off. I gave myself permission to ignore that alarm for a bit and extend my feet-up break.

DD46 arrived before 7:30 so she could take DD11 to school and spend a couple minutes with her. Then DD46 cleaned our bathrooms because she borrows money, and this is how she chooses to repay it. Normally I welcome any and all help in cleaning our home but today I experienced something different. I have been working to develope habits and finally have the bathrooms on a routine cleaning that is working. Today I experienced a WEIRD feeling that I don't enjoy others cleaning bathrooms & messing with what is working. For example - I have the shower doors streak free and I saw her wiping them down with a wet rag (only water) which I know will leave streaks. So, her cleaning the bathrooms is not helpful and actually cost me extra time to undo the streaks. I know I can require her to only clean things using my methods, but that leads to a stress that I don't want to have. In the overall big picture, it really doesn't matter that the shower doors have streaks, so I need to let this go and just count my blessings.

LadyM my dh and I decided to stop having a cleaning lady come in every 2 weeks. One of the things that was driving me crazy was streaks on windows and mirrors. I had to re-clean all the mirrors after she left because I can't stand streaks on mirrors. I washed the floors right after she left the last time and the water was so dirty and there was dirt at the bottom of the bucket when I was done. I actually feel like my house is cleaner now than the entire time she was working for us.

I found more desk surface since my last post. Dh even made a comment about finding my desk!

I am lollygagging this a.m. some, but OTOH I was tired yesterday and might need extra down time. And dh is going to be away so I might have the "I've got all week" syndrome happening here.
I fee
I just walked ddog three laps so that's done for a.m. I still need to s2s and get to the store. Took care of $ to DD. I feel like a slug today.

Blessed - How are you feeling? Any lingering covid symptoms?

I made BBQ pulled pork sandwiches for family lunch. I have ingredients out to make a double pan of mac & cheese to take tonight.

I suggest that lollygagging should be an item written on everyone's Write it down Wednesday list. :)

DS14 just said "You look tired" I told him that I am tired. He suggested that I take a nap and/or sit down and relax. I think he is a smart kid with some wise words! :D
