Thinking Tuesday PWYC
I have no inspiration today, but thinking of Kathryn and Ken and all among us that are ailing, and the Nashville TN families grieving their loved ones, including three little ones.

Re: Thinking Tuesday PWYC
Dh had an OK night. I was too hot/cold (the hazard of a small room with a bed against the window, and an east wind) and couldn't keep the humidity up in the room so apparently I was coughing (I only remember coughing once, though.) So I woke up groggy.
Dh is up and dressed, I just finished tea & chocolate. But I also sat out on the balcony while tea was steeping and I made notes while dh was on the phone with the nurse.
I did manage to order three things I need from Amazon. I also need a new teapot but that will have to wait, nothing on Amazon came close to what I was looking for.
He has a 12.30 appointment for ECG and X-ray. Last time, that appointment took 2 hours so I think I'll just go home in between. We'll see, I may nap in the car or do a return at Costco depending on my energy level.
I should get dressed now since ds is calling for a video call with dh and I haven't seen dgs for ages.

I have an appointment at the denture clinic to get a liner put into the new bottoms I picked up last week. They are rubbing against the gums and causing a very tender spot.
Dh needs me to pick up his insulin at Costc o after I leave the denture clinic. They are in the same town about 15 minutes west of us.
I have emptied the dishwasher. There are no dirty dishes to go back in, so I guess the dishes are finally caught up. There is 1 large pot and some utensils currently soaking in the kitchen sink.
I swept and washed living room, hall way, part of kitchen and the entire bathroom.

Re: Thinking Tuesday PWYC
Turns out today I have three functions, in addition to a house full of painters. Dh has been here "supervising" this morning and has been taking down pictures and art all over, making me crazy. They are doing one room at a time and I'd prefer not to have the entire house torn up, although I suspect that's where we're heading.
In addition to the CPAP mask fitting at ten, I realized I have body work at 11:30 and a workout at two. Perhaps the body work will help my adrenaline drop. I sure do want some time alone. Next week dd is coming in on Wednesday for Passover.
DH finally left it and went to work. They're starting with the upstairs hallway and bathroom. I have dog mostly settled down and have walked her. Also trip to paint store for trim paint, which dh had not purchased. I need to eat something to supplement the bacon egg cheese biscuit I had while out and I'll be gone again soon.
I had trouble getting to sleep. Still some adrenaline going from receiving and reading judges comments, particularly the good ones that I keep rereading.
Gotta go.

Re: Thinking Tuesday PWYC
I am up and have done some of my morning routine.
Qt is earlier today.
Some is not done yet.
I have trash out at the curb so I am dressed earlier than usual.
Ddog has been out already.
Rounding up clothes that smell smokey from yesterday's fire adventures.

Re: Thinking Tuesday PWYC
You do have way more than a plate full today, Twins. Hope your day goes by smoothly.
I finally got 5 hours of sleep last night. Woke up several times. 2 or 3 times to dh up going to the bathroom or rattling the bag of black jelly beans (I moved them to a ziplock bag this morning btw).
Glad you posted later, Kathryn. Kept thinking of you and Ken throughout the night. The rest of this post is actually mentioning our experience for Kathryn. We've had so much of the same issues.
I do know that the lasix will cause dizziness when there's too much. We've learned that it's because the lasix lowers the potassium and it's very difficult to balance it out. It also will lower the bp. I know when dh was in the hospital that they'd give him the lasix, bp would drop and they couldn't give him lasix until the bp came back up. This usually resulted in them giving him either potassium cocktails or IV potassium. It was a constant battle. Think it still is. I'm not surprised that he felt somewhat better after eating, Kathryn. Hoping for both of our dh's that they get things figured out and balanced! Dh is on Metoprolol (a beta blocker) which we've been instructed not to give it unless his systolic bp is over 105. Well, we're there but barely much of the time. Know that the metoprolol alone can slow the heart beat -which evidently is not Ken's problem.
Dh is up and taking at least a little nourishment. He's back to his walker today and said he feels the worst he's felt in quite some time. I'm so glad we're going to his cardiologist tomorrow. I'm having serious doubts about his going home on Saturday and I mentioned it this morning. He did concede, "We'll see". And as you suggested (and I really already knew), Kathryn, I have not cancelled any of his appointments next week here. He is supposed to have lab work done the 3rd and sees his Primary on the 7th. He was supposed to see the cardiologist the 5th but that got changed to tomorrow -thank goodness. I won't cancel unless he's actually gone to Rochester.
I figured Ken had to be on something like Warfarin with all the blood draws. Drs have determined that dh can't be on any blood thinner because he bleeds internally so easily. So where we go from here is anyone's guess. I also suspect Afib with Ken as do you. Dh also went into that after his valve replacement and it kept causing all sorts of complications. Hopefully Ken will come out on the right side of all this very soon. I know what an emotional battle it is for you as well. I also meant to share with you the other day that dh also likes V-8 and we always buy the low sodium kind. (Yeah, I know -it tastes better with all that sodium). The low sodium also has a lot more potassium in it -we suppose that's because the sodium isn't washing it away.
Meanwhile I'm trying hard to pack for dh. I'm splitting what I think he'll need at DS-A's and what can be sent with DS-A in his motorhome next week. Even if dh ends up not going Saturday I think I'll still send some stuff with DS. Still leaves me in a quandary as to what to do about going north myself and getting our car there. Hate spending the $$ on another airline ticket for myself plus $$ for someone to fly down to get our car. (Oh to be able to have a car here and up north). As it is I paid top $ for dh to fly Saturday (it was $150 cheaper a few days before I finally made his reservation). He's flying S outh W est and I know they have a no change fee policy. However I learned, the hard way last year, that there are still government fees that have to be paid whenever a change is made.
Going out to bring in dh's coffee cup. Think it's the first time he's had coffee in weeks. Said it tasted good to him.

Re: Thinking Tuesday PWYC
Good Morning
I spent some time doing a deep dive into tips & tricks for a change (new habits) I want to establish. My eating in the evening has returned and it is ruining my efforts to improve my health choices. I do better with routines/habits than just trying to conquer with willpower. Regardless of how it happens.....It isn't easy!
It is a typical Tuesday here. DD11 has been delivered to public school and homeschool is underway.
I repotted the 9 last pepper seedlings of the year. I turned off the heat mat and indoor plant lights. I will be cleaning that seed starting area up and getting it ready for next January/February/March. I am sad and happy at the same time. Sad to see the time caring for baby seedlings end but happy to be moving outdoors and focusing on growing plants.

Today's tip;
baking soda kills moss when sprinkled on it so will be trying that.
Dd volunteered to help with dgd who helps her dad on roofs.

Re: Thinking Tuesday PWYC
Meantime today he's really 'off' and feeling poorly. I'm at such loose ends as what to do about him going north and/or me going as well. I know he can't just be left on his own while everyone else works up there. Not sure if DDIL will be going back to work after spring break or not. Think she had her hip replaced about 3 weeks ago or maybe only 2. Know she's flying down with DS-A tomorrow to pick up their motorhome and they'll be camping here in Lakeland for a couple of days and then on to Myrtle Beach.

Taking a break…
Dee.. I know if it was Sweetie, I sure wouldn’t let him travel without me. Why not wait a little bit longer till your dh is stronger to travel. Just my opinion.
I want to the same community center this morning, but we actually had a paid instructor. Boy is she tough, but funny and really worked us out. I liked her enough that I am going to look into the gym where she teaches/
Morning routines done and after I finish my lunch am going to fill up my care this things to take to Good Will. And depending on where that is, may stop at Sams as well.
