It's a Beautiful Morning Tuesday

Post by Twins' Mom »

Sing it, friends!
It's a beautiful morning, ah
I think I'll go outside for a while and just smile
Just take in some clean fresh air, boy
(Ain't) No sense in staying inside
If the weather's fine and you got the time
It's your chance to wake up and plan another brand new day

I have no errands to run today. I do have a load of laundry in the dryer which should be buzzing in a few minutes. I also have last night's dishes and a couple of pots and pans to wash.

Dh had 4 customers yesterday for seasonal tire changeovers. Today he has 1 customer, but besides the seasonal changeover, there is also an oil change.

Absolutely no idea what to make for supper tonight. Last night was shake and bake chicken drumsticks, mashed potatoes from a box and asparagus for dh.

We got up to 20 degrees C yesterday with very little wind. Today we expect to get up to 20 but with winds gusting to 50 km/hr. It's already very windy outside.

Later...

Laundry is all away. Dishwasher is empty and waiting for last night's dishes. Floors have all been swept and washed. I should have put shoes on before I did the floors, because the kitchen floor is wet and I have socks on.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.

It is beautiful spring weather here again! We go to a high of 72 today and I couldn't help singing! The dog is already sleeping on the screened porch although it's still forty-four degrees.

The washer service guy should be here soon and hopefully that will be squared away.

Of my three genealogy projects, on the DAR supplemental application, realistically I need to do enough Loudoun VA research to be sure there's not direct evidence there. So that research probably is a lower priority than the resolution of the two portfolio projects. So I really should focus on those.

Today I have my workout at two, then body work at 4:30. Dh is out bowling this evening, but it's the last night until the fall league begins in August. I don't need to make supper tonight, we still have brisket leftovers too. The washer guy has come and gone and that's done and laundry is going. Dishwasher is going too, meant to run it last night but dh kindly cleaned up, and I forgot about it.

~~~waving Hello to all~~~~
This morning started differently for me. I woke up 45 minutes after the alarm went off with no memory of turning it off. I did a slip-shod version of AM routine to get out the door in time to get DD11 to school.
I had a time map for this morning, but it obviously has been scrambled.
In the next 2 hours I need to continue homeschooling with DS14, wash my hair and finish personal AM tasks, and make potato salad for 20 people. That should be doable if I multi-task well and don't get sidetracked.
I slept in a bit today not over much up by six.
It is cloudy and we had rain in the nite and winds with more rain coming glad I did outside stuff yesterday when it was nice out!
A smallish branch blew down I was able to get it broke down an out in the trash
After I took that can out to the curb.
Slept all night and feel better than I have in like 6 weeks yea!
Today counting decluttering stuff off my fb page like posts about hens as I no longer have any. One yesterday & one today unfollowed.
So far the pesky adds are not showing up today yea! I typed update in the search bar and it brought help right up it was fast and easy on my chromebook!
Waving to everyone. Have a great day.
Slept pretty well last night for a change! Happy with that. Even so I didn't get up any too early!
I've been tweaking forms on here and trying to find dh's last bill from the hospital. I know I scheduled payments for that. But, got another bill yesterday and I need to make sure it's not more of the same or is it a new bill for a different time period????? Hoping it's the former, but doubt it.
Dsonil had appointments this morning so I'm home alone for a while. I'm liking it. Don't have much done to show for the day however.
Nancy - BWTG! You are so consistent on taking care of your body. I'm glad you are feeling the rewards of your efforts.
I have everything done and still have 10 minutes left. The potato salad is good but it is missing a flavor. I've checked all the ingredients and I didn't forget anything. I am walking away from it for 10 minutes and then will ask DH for his opinion. After eating my potato salad for 5 decades he can usually pin-point what is different.
While I was in the kitchen, I missed my 9am hourly step goal. Grrrr. I was 42 steps low. Being in the kitchen or in the vehicle are the two places where I don't get enough steps.
LadyM, when my potato salad is too bland, it's usually because the dressing is too plain. Sometimes a splash of apple cider vinegar fixes that. But I have no idea how you make your potato salad.
We are really windy today. Yesterday my clothes rack blew over. I move it out from the wall so it will get more air, but it fell over and I righted it and moved it back. Today I was able to bring all the clothes in.
I had some bills to pay and some reading to do for Friday's study. I am happy to take it a little easier as my muscles up the back of my legs are sore from the work yesterday. I think I am not in good shape. When I got up I noticed DH was not in the house, he was outside with his rollator getting some weeds out of the grass. So I went out and told him I weeded the side yard yesterday while I was getting rid of the trees. Of course, he had to complain about the trees, but I told him he hadn't looked recently and I was working on getting those trees gone. It's a mess right now and only looks better where I did the work. So he didn't have anything more to say about that.
We had some rain on Easter. Would be nice if we'd have some more today. Soften up the ground I am working on.
Dishes are all washed! Kitchen looks really good.
Dh is sleeping. He asked me to go to the bank "after 1" because a customer was doing an e transfer at lunch time. It's 22C here today. :shock:
Home from an enjoyable lunch with the Elderberry group. I dearly love this monthly gathering. There were many topics discussed and laughter shared. I find myself wishing I could capture the treasured moments somehow, but I would feel weird to video it. A video doesn't capture the feelings of comradery shared.
DS14 only has 2 math problems left to finish all of today's homeschool assignments. We will team up to work through those 2 problems together. It is usually just a matter of showing DS14 an example of a similar type of problem.
