Hi!
I have FIVE phone calls to make... and I really don't want to make any of them.
I also have to get to a store similar to harbor Freight to pick up something on sale, that is on the front page. I hope they still have some by the time we get there, because it says "limited quantities" for that item and we actually need 2. (Garden hose that we have 1 of already, and it's great because it doesn't kink.)

Re: Tuesday Ta Da!
I'm trying to get myself organized and motivated today. Dh is bowling tonight so I also have the evening. What I really want to do is genealogy.
In order of importance/urgency
-did dh take dog poop out in garbage?
-send neighborhood email re: thirty Thursday at combined backyards on Thursday p.m.
-prep for Certification discussion group meeting tomorrow at 3, I am presenting "My certification Journey."
---power point
---set up technical check with moderator
---put some thought into it
-get yard/house ready for neighbors on Thursday p.m.
The other thing today is to workout at two p.m., and possibly, the accountability group this p.m. Yesterday I was sitting on a stool at our kitchen counter as I do everyday and pivoted away as I got up, and my hip screamed at me. And it's sore again. So we'll see how I do today.
I need to s2s now. Working on a.m. routine.

Re: Tuesday Ta Da!
Stayed up a while last evening but no further news from dd's in-laws, other than the musical chairs of trying to have someone there between the two ER rooms (they did each get rooms) to be present if one or both was discharged. Evidently that didn't happen unless it has this morning. They were allowing dbil to be seated, not lying down all the time, which sounded a lot better for him. Two of my late dsonil's sisters were trading off duty at the hospital last I heard. This dbil is the sibling who was recently widowed, but he does have a friend who also arrived. He says their minor symptoms are "cuts, scrapes, seat belt burns, pain". Their mother has never had knee surgery, but her knees are compromised to the point of regular steroid shots into them, so this knee trauma could be debilitating even if they don't find a break. And she is on the at-home dialysis, so somehow that would have to happen for her last evening, I guess.
Read a TIP (in the book I bought for dd43 and gave her Sunday - so, I'm paraphrasing) that when you have an upcoming moment such as job interview, speech (thinking of Twins'), meeting, anything for which you want to feel confident, take 15 minutes to reflect on a time in your life when you really did very well at something, then write down what you remember about it and how you felt. There is some science behind this that showed quantifiable improvement in how well subjects did later when needing confidence for interview, etc.

Re: Tuesday Ta Da!
~~~waving Hi to all~~~~
This is covid day #5 in our home. Yesterday I did a better job of tracking our covid days, symptoms, medications taken in case we need this information in the future. I considered several methods but ended up using daily events on Google calendar with lots of information in the note sections. I always have access to that information even when there is no wifi.
I have the same mild symptoms as DH with the addition of a mild headache and upset stomach. My fever went up to 100.4 last night but was easy to control with one dose of Tylenol. DH still tests positive, and I still test negative. I am thankful to not have any major physical problems and we just have boredom to deal with. Can you be bored with 2 kids that are always doing/going/being? Asking for a friend....
I am making spaghetti & meat sauce for the family today. If I eat that high carb (pasta) meal, then I will have regrets because it will make me feel awful. My blood sugar will go up 70+ points which I find scary. So I prefer to eat food that makes my body feel good. I have some tilapia, salmon and chicken ready to eat. I need to cook a batch of the fresh garden vegetables that I enjoy to go with them. It takes me less than a minute to assemble my meals when i have everything cooked ahead. .
Summer has arrived in earnest here. The feels like temps are over 100F with humidity over 50%. It is sticky and hot. If you aren't used to working in the heat it is dangerous. DS14 prefers to wear long sleeve shirts and long pants year-round and rarely mentions being hot. He says cotton long sleeve shirts are cooler than short sleeve t-shirts. It isn't logical to me, but I notice many people who do physical work outdoors also wear similar type clothing.
Oh, not long after I post, there it is ... she has a broken knee cap. Sent home this morning with appt to see Orthopedic dr regarding potential surgery. It took one of dd43's dsisils, her dh, the dbil and friend all 4 working together to get her into the dsisil's house after discharge. Not trying to take her home because she'd be alone. Goodness, you don't think about the logistics ... ..
((LadyM and family))
Dstepson brought first zucchini he picked yesterday and some cucumbers. Isn't that FIRST zucchini so interesting and welcome every year? (smile) I told him very honestly that I have a recipe for it today. This will be my shredded carrot-squash sandwiches filling I can refrigerate and slice cukes for them when I make them.
TaDas - so far, recycling sorting this morning
Re: Tuesday Ta Da!
So far I have gotten 2 phone calls done. I also cleared off the counter across from the dryer which is right at our back door, which is the main entrance that we use. Books got put away and donations went into my car.
I have also cleared out 1 garbage can, removed that garbage to the pile beside the garage. Dh is going to the landfill tomorrow I think. I'm not going anywhere as I have had something that doesn't agree with me. Dh knows he has to go to get the hoses by himself.
We are having home made hamburgers tonight.
