My day is off to a good start. I had personal AM cards done by 7am. Slowly adjusting the timing to get back into school mode.

Today's thoughts -
** 107F yug. enough said on that subject.
** Both kids have haircuts appt this morning. They get to choose what cut, color, hair style. It seems the more choice they have the less they are interested in doing something different.
** I need to make yearly doctor appts for both kids. I am fairly sure they are up to date on all mandatory vaccinations, but I want to make sure. Thankfully the kids are healthy so this yearly doctor appt is sometimes the only time they see a doctor each year. The decision about the optional HPV vaccine is still to be made. CDC says yes, experienced family & friends say No.

I was going with "Write it down Wednesday" because I forgot to write down that I was having lunch with d favorite cousin J today. But she texted earlier that her tummy is upset and she can't make it so my forgetfulness wasn't exposed.

I've walked the dog, s2s-ed and had breakfast. Still need to finish a.m. routine but need to go to bank with dneighbor to get me onto the HOA account as treasurer. I have 5200 steps.

Thanks for starting us out, LadyM! I was always happy when school was out for the summer and routines could be loosened up, and then always happy when we got back into routines when schools started! BTW, RR, I love school supplies!

Home from trip to next town and watching money flow out of my wallet. It took us 1.5 hours to accomplish -
** Both kids are pleased with their haircuts. Neither kid wanted to have hair dyed or a perm. Haircuts were $40 plus $20 tip so $60. total
** I went to gym and signed up for gym membership and talked to a personal trainer. I am using going to the gym & working with trainer as one of DS14 homeschool classes. That was $47 to get signed up for monthly gym membership. That trainer is going on vacation and will start working with DS14 in October.
** Went to Sonic to get food/drinks for kids. That was $36
** Stopped by Ranchers Market because their local grown hamburger meat is on special. 48lbs was $218

Next up -
** Make yearly checkup appt with family doctor for kids and myself.

I Think I will start journaling again d Nancy

hello all = I was up late so I have to get myself going but wanted to say hi - HELLO

I might have to use my ADHD app today - you know how you can feel when your brain needs direction even with a routine. That's where I am at 8-)
see you soon. Wishing you a wonderful day.

I am still wheelchairing it most of the times but I have decided to see my wheel chair like a wagon on a wagon trail. It moves slow but you still get there! :D :D :D
it is always a joy to be here with you!

So I've been to bank and back with our neighbor - she is a powerhouse at getting things done. She has already emailed the bank additional info that is needed. I think her dh does a lot of the home stuff because he works from home - she is a CPA and I suspect is well compensated.

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to restore her backup to a new version of QB. Oops, I have it, I think, but I need an Admin password. Texted neighbor.

I just couldn't get going this morning. Honestly since I emptied the shelf in the hall before our hot water tank construction, my library has been a mess. Looks like a hoarder lives in there. Stuff piled all over the place. So I am making it worse today. I started pulling stuff out of what used to be a closet in that room. Trying to use that space more wisely. HA HA HA... I'm just making more of a mess. I am donating a lot of things I have found in there. Numerous small frames that I will never use. Numerous books about cats! I can tell by the amount of dust on them that I obviously don't read them, so they can go. Trying to get more books out the door.

I also took a shelf out of the coat closet because it was on the floor and I wasn't using it. Dh and I have both donated our moccasins. Dh can't get his on his feet. Mine aren't being worn at all, so why am I keeping them? Now that shelf is in the pantry. I have an idea for it, but I need to see if it works.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.

Hí! I'm glad I don't have to .make the decision about that vaccine. I don't trust the CBC any more after these last 2 years. Actually I barely trust the medical profession either. Well, maybe that will change...

On to other topics. Facing the day I thought oh no another long hard day. But I got up. Checked on DH who brightened up immediately when he saw me. I told him get up you need your pills. He came out and took them. See he could have done that himself without me telling him. He's waiting for me to tell him what to do. Hup two three four get with it! Harriet and I both drill sargeants.

If my cough would go away... Lost my dinner yesterday. Oh well. Our grass is growing taller and taller. I'm not mentioning it. Told dh he needs to shave. Grizzly adams here. Sense of humor still intact. I handed him a banana which he ate. You know how men always lose weight quicker than we gals? I lost 5 lbs. He lost 10. Whoa!! Hard way to lose. My head is full of something and I can't hear well. Neither of us have voices. But way way off in the distance we can see the road to normal. The woods between us are beginning to clear.

I could be considered a drill sergeant, a helpmate, or a nag. It depends on your point of view, I guess. I always monitor to make sure DH does his daily things. He knows I'm going to check so he usually gets them done before I check.

DH is in the family text group but he never participates. He just reads the text to keep up with what is happening. It is rarely exciting but just status type text. Today's family group text from me -

Wednesday Aug 2nd - Daily personal care life skills-
• Clean body, hair, teeth, face, clothes put away
• Bedroom floor clear
Check-in when these are DONE.

Ready to eat=spaghetti, hamburger meat, roasted chicken breast, sauteed onion & peppers

DS14 you owe a DONE text before doing anything after work. (Everyone else has finished their daily things)
