Thriving Thursday
What will you do today to help you, someone close to you, or your routines, thrive?

Re: Thriving Thursday
I just opened up my Focus to Do in my browser and could see all the stuff I'd set up in 2021. Sigh....
And earlier today, I learned the difference between a google calendar task and event. And realized my SHE system (which is in Google calendar) should be tasks not events.
Looking at the Focus to Do screen I wondered if I could pull events/tasks into that?
Not obviously.
But there's a new (to me) program called Google Tasks that pulls in the tasks from Calendar and has a pomodoro timer (which is why I had Focus to Do but I've just been using it as a timer, not as a task manager.)
So now I'm thinking.....
I can walk without too much discomfort today, so that is a good thing. I will do a 30 minute walk today for sure to keep up with that challenge. I've already been over to the other building for an errand and have to walk to the post office today to complete that. So my walk is defined.

Hi!
We have taken the old couch to the landfill. Compost, garbage and recycling are at the end of the driveway.
We've also had a late breakfast. Dh wanted to get to the landfill early. So we had to deal with school buses and traffic around some of the schools. Plus we had to stop for gas on the way there.
Dh wants to take me out for supper tonight.

I'm running through on my way out the door for the massage therapist. No, I didn't get the brisket started first. Several days of 12K steps have left me really sore so body work is way overdue. It was postponed during my COVID rounds so it's been awhile. Dog is walked, breakfast done, and I've s2s-ed. Lots of other stuff to do when I get back, tho.

Re: Thriving Thursday
Downloaded the new app. Useless. No explanation, it pulled in a mixture of to-do items from my calendar (tomorrow) and my email (from 2021) and no instructions on how to link it to my current calendar entries. So I uninstalled it all.
And wasted over an hour.
My timer went off for a walk so I'll check the rain radar and figure out if now is a good time to go.

Re: Thriving Thursday
Foliar spray of all the outdoor plants is done. That may be the last time this year.
Indoors, vacuuming was my main chore this morning.
HRH has made a big pot of spaghetti sauce using the tomatoes his friend brought, so that will make several meals. My chore on that will be the cleanup.
We are running out of a lot of grocery items, I notice. Hmmm... ..

Re: Thriving Thursday
Good morning!
As far as thriving goes, I guess the most important things I can do are to place the grocery order and continue the ascent of Mt. Washmore. I won’t be able to place the grocery order at our usual spot. They don’t deliver, and I don’t want to go pick up; the engine light on my car is on, and the mechanic can’t see it till next Wednesday. I don’t want to go anywhere I need the freeway. DH could pick up the groceries if it were a small enough order — his car is tiny, and the hatchback no longer works. (He really needs to replace the car, but it runs well.)
As for hair, I envy Elizabeth the strawberry blonde. Mine was a shade or two darker — actually a mix of red, blonde, and brown to the extent that I was once called a blonde, a brunette, and a redhead all in the same day. It was all about how the light hit it. I stopped coloring my hair years ago when, after going too long between dye jobs, I was asked about my “highlights.” Unfortunately, while the red has gone white, and the blonde has become fairer, the brown has turned to a dull, brownish gray and is becoming more dominant. I hate it, but after so long going without, any dye job would be screamingly obvious. I’ve been contemplating getting a long bob and dyeing the ends blue. That would be deliberately obvious. Or bleaching the whole thing white, but I don’t think I’d care for the time or expense.
I was thinking the Google Tasks sounded like a good thing for DC, but maybe not, then, if it’s giving you more trouble than it’s worth, Kathryn.

Well, I guess I’m helping my dmom to thrive.
We’re at the ER.
Sigh.

(((LucyLee & DMom))))
I have lots of options today because I have fewer commitments. It feels almost overwhelming because this freedom to choose how to spend my time makes me want to go in several directions at the same time. So many options....so little time.
Some things are basic -
** DD12 to/from public school
** DS15 homeschool assignments
** Gym with DH and DS15
A freshly roasted pan of vegetables is available on the counter. Several more freshly harvested vegetables are waiting their turn.
The new rabbit cage arrived so I put it together and transferred one of the rabbits to it. Now all rabbits have the biggest cage I can provide for them.
