Hi!

I need to get cat food. IF I go to Walmart, I will spend too much on other things. If I shop local, the cat food will be more expensive... sigh... Where will I end up?

Furnace/boiler installers called and they are coming tomorrow to replace the thermostat. When are they coming? ("Between 8 and 12") I will still go to knitting tomorrow even if they haven't shown up before it's time to go.

"What is for supper?" Dh has requested liver and onions. Okay with me.

Why not? ... I have bitten the bullet and I am going to sign up for a "Learn to knit" class. There is only 1 problem. Time is from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. tonight, next Wednesday and the Wednesday after that. That's after my bedtime AND it will be dark out. I told dh I will be taking the truck because I can drive better in the truck when it's dark out. I need 5mm needles and 2 matching balls of worsted weight yarn. I've got the needles, I just need the yarn.

Would I do it again? Hmmm...

Jelly needs to get finished today. Kitchen is more of a mess than usual. I've taken the juice out of the fridge so it can warm up.

Way more stuff and not enough hours in the day.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.

My day started a bit busier earlier in the day. Yesterday I wanted to take DD12 to get her hair professionally washed (thank you teenage hormones!_) but she was very reluctant. DD46 volunteered to come wash her hair this morning. So hair washing started a few minutes after 6am today.

DD12 science class is going fishing today at the local park. She took her fishing pole to school with her.

Yesterday was a long day and made even longer by DD12 needing help with her Math homework after we arrived home. Explaining how to do math at 9pm after a long day is not the best timing but we got it done. If you are familiar with the L=prt formula, you know exactly what we were doing.

PODA -
** 6am - DD46 here to wash DD12 hair
** 7:30 - DD12 to school
** Homeschool underway
** 9:30 - Gym with DH and DS15
** 12:30 - DS15 to work
** 2:30 - Me to Dr K about possible gall bladder troubles
** 3:30 - DD12 from school
** 5:00 - DH drives church van to pick up kids
** 5:30 - Eat meal (taco boats) with church family
** 6pm - Church service

Cooking -
** Something with cabbage. I am hungry for cooked cabbage. I'm thinking about a mixture of beans, cabbage, tomatoes, onions, peppers and some sort of meat. This is my favorite way to cook - just start and see what happens.
** Chicken fajitas
** Mac & cheese with hamburger meat.
I might not cook all three of these today. I have started the prep to make them but will see if time allows to actually get them finished.

Deep cleaning/decluttering/organizing -
** Kitchen - Cabinet with 3 shelves containing baking ingredients
** SUV - between 1st & 2nd row of seats
** Garden - remove a plant that is at end of its season

I'm dressed to shoes, so I'm ready to get going. I sat on my bed putting on my socks and decided to clear up my sock drawer. It took less than 5 minutes. Now all my black socks are at the front of the drawer and I have a pile of white ankle socks that I never wore. I think I wore 1 pair once this summer. Most likely because I need a new pair of white running shoes. (Not pointing any fingers, but 1 of the cats peed in my very old white running shoes. I'm fairly certain I know which cat, but I love all 3, so... like I said, no finger pointing.)

This morning I'm getting my car to the dealership for service and need to leave soon. I've walked the dog three laps and got to catch up with dfriend M too. I've done most of a.m. routine and will pack up my laptop to go with me this morning since they have good wi-fi. Dd will be coming into town this afternoon late - I will pick her up at the shuttle from ATL when she gets here late this afternoon.

Okay, now I'm at the dealership! I'm doing some calendaring for the next few weeks. Dh has filled up October weekends I'm afraid.

Up early today. Itchy problems kept me awake. I have the worst skin. There is always something itchy or rashy someplace, somewhere. Last outbreak is so bad. I've used every salve / ointment in my stash and nothing works to heal it. I took a good look at it today to make sure it wasn't shingles. However, it's in a place that is problematic for me, and I haven't felt sick, and it's just the usual rash 'pain' that I get so I guess not. Next time I go to dermatologist she better come up with some other solution. This time it even kept me awake. Dang.

Desk day happening here. I've sent a check and reorganized that binder of "stuff" from this place. 2 online ones done. New bank this time. Our business bank consolidated 3 banks and changed their name. Online transition went smoothly except I don't see anyplace for a prompt to get a monthly statement. Wonder where that went?

I have one statement to finish. That one takes me a while. End of month almost here. End of 3rd quarter...for anyone who cares about this stuff. I'll have a couple things to do for that. Still have to keep that up or the authorities get antsy.

Grey outside. A little misty rain in the air when I went to the mailbox. One more day of leftovers and I have a plan for tomorrow. Will thaw out the meat for that today.

Have a nice day. LadyM, good luck at the Drs. I'll bet the Dr. orders a test in order to diagnose.

Morning…

Nice to know I was missed.

I had a fabulous time and got home last night. Drank coffee this morning, took a shower, washed my hair. and now working on unpacking and then laundry. I am slow but picking up speed.

Harmony, I don't know if I've mentioned it but I've worn pants or longer skirts for most of the last two summers because of the area on my shin that won't heal. This is where the doc took a biopsy in June because it wouldn't heal, and guess what, it still won't heal. I think the moisturizer lotion (dermatologist recommended) that I'm using on my legs is interfering. It has some lactic acid in it for sloughing off old skin and I have to wonder if that was the culprit. And it's right on my shin bone so I know the blood flow may be low there. I'm using a Eucerin healing cream now - I think it's mostly petroleum jelly - but it may be healing slowly. It doesn't look as bad, at least.

RR, glad you're home and back with us!

RR - Welcome home! Glad to see you back.

I'm home from the gym. I was able to exceed my previous pace & incline so I am back on track after taking a few days break from gym. I keep an eye on my heart rate and try to keep it in between 118 & 138 bpm. Everyone's body is different but that is what is recommended for my body. I got a message saying I was at 139bpm and that was too much. It takes some time to learn what works for my body...Not too much....not too little....but finding the sweet spot in the middle.

I have cooked my cabbage mixture and am pleased with the finished dish. No one in my family will touch cabbage so I will be eating the entire dish myself over the next couple of days. I might freeze individual portions to enjoy in the future.

two of todays 3 projects are finished. I worked on them here & there when a few minutes was available.
