Talk it out Thursday

Post by Lady Maverick »

Do you talk to yourself out loud?

I recently noticed that I have started doing this when I am super focusing on getting something done. I did quick research to make sure it wasn't a sign of concern and was surprised to find it is encouraged by many people.

Yesterday's hourly work/reward was successful, so I am going to repeat it today. I have the first 2 hours of my day done with progress made. My reward was coming here. I selected several x and youtube videos to watch for my hourly rewards later today.

Today's garden harvest was okra, sweet potatoes, basil, and multiple kinds of peppers. Roasting those vegetables will be accomplished during my next hourly work session. Can you roast basil? Hum... I am going to try it.

Today's PODA is slim. There isn't much on the calendar
** DD12 5th grade school day
** DS15 10th grade school day
** Gym to challenge my physical body and get some feel good hormones happening.

Good morning LadyM (and everyone else when you show up)!

I don’t much talk to myself in the usual way, but when I’m doing something boring, I find myself in imaginary conversations, sometimes with you ladies!

I’m sorry, but I’ve been away too long to do a proper CUOP. I tried, but I just got lost, though speaking of lost, I wonder if Rose’s Sweetie would carry an Air Tag and if that would help?

DH is out on retreat, and it has thrown me off. Plus dfriends half an hour south are hosting games tonight, and the kids want to go, and I really should head half an hour west to pick up a birthday present for another dfriend. And I hate driving any more, and I’m loath to lose the time. Idonwanna, Idonwanna, Idonwanna!

The kids’ temporary permits are renewed, and it occurred to them that one of them could do the driving so long as I came along, but then it occurred to them that it’s highway driving, which they’re not yet comfortable with (or they’d probably have proper licenses by now), and that I’m nervous about being the passenger. We will see how much I accomplish today. Speaking of accomplishments, I should resume the perpetual ascent of Mt. Washmore.

Thank you for getting us started LadyM! I've been out walking (3 laps) and chatting with dfriend M, who walked two laps with me. She has hip bursitis so has cut back her walking at the nature center and been more available for walks in the neighborhood.

No danger of us sliding off the edge, Harmony! No danger to any homes but the culvert/ravine drains water from the entire circle. I wish I had seen the "before" but I hated to walk back there through the yards. This a.m. a dump truck had arrived with another load of rocks, and I went back there with a neighbor and her little one to see it distributed. Always fun to see something different.

I work out again today and I believe we are eating out. At least, I'm not cooking so I hope we're going out.

This has been sitting here, I've been lollygagging about, and need to get moving.

I have been up since before daylite again today,
writing has turned into a bigger project than I thought.
Made good use of that time for my qt planning & journals.
I breakfasted.

Starting with the worst first.
Have mopped the kitchen & dining area.
Need to dust in the living room.
Need to wash my hair, might just hop in the shower for that.

Have a great day all!
We have sunny day and great temps here.

hello dear ones!!!

I am sorry I haven't been here but I am thoroughly enjoying the time with d mom and dd younger - I still am pinching myself that my whole family is together. Such a joy.

Mom was better today regarding knowing what home she is in! it was a rough couple days. She has to be busy during the day away from the house.
She loves her home in Florida and knows it well. She does have dd younger at night.

I think I have to start finding cheap flights and give dd some weekends for her to go away.

hello d Nancy!
hello d d twins!
hello d Mystery!
hello d lady!

and yes I talk out loud - lol I blame it on the dogs even though I honestly am talking to myself.

okay: Look for trash! look for put away
goal today: plant bulbs
make chicken soup

dd younger is taking d mom to a Japanese grocery store - both my girls love Japanese food.
and then back to my house.
I Will go to the butcher for chicken backs and beef bones for chicken stock and beef stock. (praying my oven doesn't smoke).
Listening to snoopy's jazz music - I normally am not a jazz person but I love snoopy's halloween music at this time of the year.

Hi!

I've done some errands and I've been to knitting. It's very windy here today.

Dh and I decided on spaghetti and meatballs for supper.

Blessed - What fun to hear the joy from having both girls and your Mom with you. Enjoy the moments.

I had a rare trip by myself to the city. A prescription for DH needed to be picked up so I combined that task with buying things on the Pantry Restock list. Over $500 later I was loaded up and headed home. I recently saw a comparison of what food items cost 2 years ago vs now. The items they showed were 50 to 75% higher now. I believe it.

I'm going to take a break. Earlier today I started watching a show about gender dysphoria history & industry and have been taking notes because I am seeking to learn. I have another 30 minutes or so of the video to watch.

Coming back through after another great workout. We used most of the machines today and did a series of six reps on a heavy weight, then six on a lighter weight, then back to heavy weight for four, and then lighter for four, and repeated heavy and light again for two reps each.

I am going to s2s now, dh and I are going out for dinner later, I'm not sure where.

The weirdest thing just happened to me: Evernote uninstalled itself. I found in their support forums that there have been reports of this happening now and then. I clicked to close Evernote and install the new release, and it was gone when I tried to reopen. Verified with Windows settings that lists installed apps. So I downloaded and reinstalled, and I think it's working now?
