I feel out of sorts confused today because I'm working out at 11 a.m. and watching a webinar at 3 p.m. So my morning feels "off" given that I need to be out of the house in less than an hour and a half. (By now, a little more than an hour.) Dh worked out at seven a.m. and came home for his shower as usual, but was piddling around and didn't leave here until after nine a.m. That contributed to my feeling that the morning was off.

I'm having breakfast. The ddog is eating her breakfast, which was last night's meal. She's been slightly off her feed and didn't eat Sunday p.m., then didn't eat breakfast yesterday until I was out at 11:30, so I didn't want to feed her again before we went out for dinner. So it was nearly nine p.m. when we got home last night and she wasn't wanting to eat.

I need to get moving, my little dictator is ready to walk soon.

Dh is bowling tonight so I'm not cooking. We each brought home a box from dinner out last night. When I'm out for my workout I need to go by the cleaners for dh, and by the post office to ck the HOA box.

My day is off to a good start. It is raining today (YEAH!) and I was surprised to see my song of the day. Oct 24th song is Let it Rain A couple years ago I started collecting my favorite songs and assigning one to each day of the year. It is just a way to start the day with some good music.

DD12 was delivered to school while she was chatting the whole way. I took the trash to the road IN THE RAIN. DS15 and I will leave in a few minutes for the gym. He has a 9am appt with personal trainer. Then I want to get oil changed in SUV and pick up a few items at the local grocery store. Tomorrow is chili cookoff and I want to make my pot of chili today. I always like chili the next day after the flavors develop.

The 3x5 cards are laid out with reminders, projects and to-dos for today.

I have swept/vacuumed and mopped all floors except the kitchen. I have done parts of the kitchen but not the middle. One litter box has been done so far. Dh is doing a great job at holding down the couch.

I am heading to a mall in the large city to the east of us. There is a Lee Child book hitting the shelves today. I also want to get the latest Rolling Stones CD. Walmart no longer sells CDs, and neither does BestBuy because "you can just stream it". Like books, sometimes I prefer my music available to my touch. I like to read the liner notes and see the art work.

I still need to take out some ground meat for supper. Dh keeps sending me a recipe with ground beef and pasta shells.

I am hoping for a Huzzah Tuesday Ta - Da!

dinner tonight: red cabbage, grandmother's potato salad, Rhodes bread, brats for dmom/dd's and was going to be for dh but he has decided he is allergic to garlic this last month (we call him - Dr  ) - he had a theory that very burnt toast took away the sugar in the bread - lol, he gave that one up eventually! 8-)

if I gave dh Oscar M. hot dogs (he has decided the Vienna hot dogs he used to eat all the time are not what his body can handle), canned spaghetti o's and a hamburger once in awhile than he would be happy. I cook and at that moment he decides if he is able to eat it. (doesn't taste it but decides to eat ravioli chef boyardee  Not a vegetable or fruit in sight! It's gotten worse over the years.

For someone who likes to cook; I married a fast food aficionado. He does surprise me so often when I don't make enough for him too - or buy something for him when we are out. ;)

I had a nice time with d mom yesterday. (I am taking the nice - warm and fuzzy- mom in a heart beat!!!) Took her to Olive G.

time to start!!!

Successful outing to the gym, oil change and grocery store.

DS15 asked "Is it normal that I can't stop thinking about the wreck last night?"
Me - Totally normal. It was a shock to your mental system and will take some time to process. Eventually it will just become a memory but for now your brain is busy reliving every second of it.
I hope I told him right. Thankfully there is minimum drama happening. DS15 friend is grounded & doesn't have access to his phone so they can't talk.
Any suggestion, advice or thoughts on dealing with the emotions of being in a wreck? How did you mentally react after being in a wreck? What was helpful for you?

The music store, full of CDs, games, DVDs and vinyl didn't have the CD I wanted, as shipment has been delayed. They "should" have it by "Wednesday, Thursday or Friday"... sheesh...
