I have a few dishes to catch up on. I also have to empty the dishwasher. I have been reading.

I don't want to BBQ tonight. I haven't asked dh what he wants yet. We are supposed to get temps close to 90 today.

I have called for a water delivery. I also have to take a load of books to the thrift store.

I have closed all the windows and turned on the big fan in the living room. All the cats went outside this morning. Since then they have all come back in and then the small cat went back out. She knows how to use the revolving door. (She sits in the living room window until one of us goes to open the door to let her back in.)

I'm up and about this morning. Have s2s-ed and breakfasted, nearly done with a.m. routine. I see now that the appointment for bone scan is actually at 10:30, not ten, so we don't need to arrive earlier than ten.

I have three packages ready to go, and a list of where I am going today with dh. Ready for the day!

Good morning

I hope ya'll don't mind me hanging out in the SHE village with you some today. It gives me the feeling of things being normal. Feel free to ignore my posting as they aren't my normal doings.

I spent the night in a recliner next to DH hospital bed. It wasn't a great night sleep but the fibit says I got 6 hours sleep which surprised me.

I went to hospital gift shop this morning looking for toothbrush and Fixodent. Didn't have success so will need to make a trip to WM. Before I do that I want to wait for the doctor to make morning rounds. There is a good chance they will send us home today then I won't need to do the WM trip.

Yesterday when I found out they were going to admit DH to hospital then I made a quick trip to Walmart. Thankfully it was just 1/2 mile from the hospital. I needed to be fast but I was shopping without a list or a plan. I just knew we needed a few things to get by.
Thing I bought that worked out well -
** Rolling duffle suitcase bag. I piled all our stuff in this suitcase.
** Underwear and socks for DH
** two changes of clothes. I went for soft tshirt/sweatpant type material. Long pants and shorts with elastic waist. Short sleeve shirts and zippered long sleeve. Also bought me the same type clothes
** Food/drinks - I was unsure about hospital café hours. Bought Xtreme tortilla wraps & chicken in a pouch. These food items don't need to be refrigerated. My requirements were low - I needed protein and ready to eat food.
** Neck pillow.

It has been over 30 years since we have been in the hospital. I am not used to doing this so am learning as we go through it.

Ugh, ((LadyM)), so sorry about the night. I have an unused new duffle in a man-plaid I wish I could give him!!! Hoping, though, that he'd not really get much use out of it anyway. Our fit- bit type gadgets will give us credit for very light sleep, I've learned, and sometimes that's not very accurate, IMO. I hope you get to go home IMMINENTLY.

Out on errands with dd this morning, then on an errand for HRH to UPS. He is sending away his VHS and small-video tapes to have them converted (?) is that the word, to more modern-day recordings. :)

Dd has an unusual day. Her boss is away on an exotic trip in the Pacific, island-hopping, first actual vacation - out of touch - in many years. So dd is having a lot of calls but didn't need to go into the office until noon. She says she is the designated "yell at me" person while boss is gone, lol, so phone is going all the time, plus boss sneakily calling her, too, unable to let go of work. Dd was laughing while we were out, as the person who "can't be reached" was calling her to make sure nothing was urgent, even though it was 10:30 p.m there.

Back home, the pesticide guy was here for both annual inspection, which they had cancelled 10 days ago because of rain, and for the ants we hope were already gone. For the first time, he did go into my attic and took some photos but they are sort of useless, I think. Since the attic is accessible through a closet, I'd gotten things out and have those to put back in there now.

DS51 called to chat. DH doesn't remember talking to DS51 yesterday. He doesn't remember much of anything recent. He doesn't remember eating breakfast. However, his memory is showing some signs of improving. He knows the president, today's date, can name our 6 grandkids name. His memory ability comes and goes. Better and then not so good. DH just told a nurse that we have one child living with us. He remembered that DS15 lives with us but forgot that DD12 also lives with us. From what I read about transient global amnesia this is normal for the first 24 hours or so.

I moved our vehicle from ER entrance to the front of the hospital. I am anticipating that DH will be released today so I wanted to have the vehicle closer to the front door. I also grabbed DH Jardiance prescription med from the vehicle. The nurse asked if I had the meds with me because they aren't able to get it. I will hand our prescription bottle of meds to the nurse, then she will hand the pill to DH and record that he received the med in his file.

I just realized this hospital doesn't have armed guards at the doors. Other hospitals that I have visited require showing ID and having picture made and printed on a badge to wear while inside the hospital. The only parts of this hospital that I have seen with locked doors is the nursery and the ER rooms.

LadyM please post as much as you need to/want to today.

I have taken a load of books to the thrift store. I loaded half the bed of the pick up. Thankfully none of them moved very much during transit and none of them sprouted wings either. I made sure that there was a hardcover book at the top of all 10 piles. Quite honestly I doubt any of those books will be missed. There was an entire time-life set of gardening books. They were given to me. They aren't helpful for Canadian gardeners. Dh got rid of a whole set of wood working type books, like building decks and book cases and bird houses. Been there, done that, don't do it any more... Gone, gone, gone.

Wonder of wonders! Stitches are out and cast is gone. I don't need to be casted but am not supposed to lift "over about two lbs" with left hand. I am to use my hands as much as possible. Wrist will nor bend. Another appointment to check it in a month. The x rays looked great. I am so relieved that I'm on track to get well!

Twins ho rah! Glad for your good report.

I had lunch then rested after that went out and pruned basically an 8" section of roses back to the the property line.
That was twenty min. apx. I watered while I did it then took another rest break.
and just now got the branches moved with my new pitchfork to the other property lie I am going to try to cut them down and put em in
cans and smaller bundles to be hauled off in the trash pick up I can work on it some at a time. This is my plan any way and these days instead of
Project Sat. I have project work each week and this is my current focus. Last week it was de-seeding. Seeds are down so it's on to the next thing.
