Morning girls…
First of the month so I have some banking to do on my computer. Enjoying a slow morning after a restless night of sleeping. Not sure why. Eating my breakfast and then will hope on my glider for some steps.
We are joining my son and wife for an early dinner and movie. Gonna go see the new Planet of the Apes… I really like that series and hav been looking forward to this movie.

Reported in our CoMpLePteLy RaNdOm CHALLENGE in The Decluttered Home how my organizing/declutter went yesterday - up on a stepstool exploring the terrain of our fridge's top. (smile) Navigating all the way back inside, too. science-experiment-free.
Today is Pantry Day, and I know I am really not organized there as I'd like to be, so this will be good for me.
LadyM, I did read your post about your dental appt yesterday but didn't get to respond. I'm sorry to hear there's yet more of these tough appts. One step at a time, yes. Each one will have a welcome completion and you can reward yourself. Hugs to you.
Also, as I look back, my Happy Canada Day greeting did not get posted... ..?
Happy Canada Day! (yesterday
)
Ramblin', enjoy the time with dson at the movies.

Re: Tuesday the Second Ta dah PWYC
Not much going on here today.
Dh took a load to the landfill. Before I woke up he had a shower and went and got his hair cut.
No idea what is for supper tonight. I am thawing a cottage roll for tomorrow night.
The tv and stereo are both off because dh isn't home, so I am enjoying the peace and quiet.
Dh has a doctor's appointment this afternoon. Regular quarterly check up. Doctor will be happy with this one.

Re: Tuesday the Second Ta dah PWYC
I'm trying to figure out what made yesterday such a successful day and I think it's that I was rested. We had a very quiet weekend and quiet Sunday. I'm hoping I can duplicate those results today. I have a workout at two, and dh is out tonight.
I walked ddog two laps this a.m. Stopped to talk to a neighbor and found an irrigation system leak behind the pool, I think, so notified the "authorities."
I need to get myself moving!
And again, this sat here a significant amount of time while I wandered off.

Re: Tuesday the Second Ta dah PWYC
Harriet… I redid one of my closets last week. My pantry stays organized because I make sure to put items in their proper place every time I shop. Same with my fridge. I have freestanding pantries in my laundry room and I do the same with them. Because I have ADD so it’s important to me that I know where every thing is and keep it that was.
I do the same with my kitchen drawers and check and rest them if needed every week. Now that Sweetie has Alzheimer’s I find some items in the wrong place. Happens with my dishes and eating utensils. He likes to do our dinner dishes…wash, dry and put away, so I find things in the wrong places. No need to upset him over this..he always puts the the wrong things in the same wrong place every time so it’s easy to redo them
I do have two other closets that need my attention. Had planned to work on one today, but my son wants us to join him and his wife for a fun afternoon so it will have to wait.
I need to pay some bills so that’s up next.

Re: Tuesday the Second Ta dah PWYC
All is quiet on the home front here, too. DH is still asleep, and DS is also sleeping. With their weird schedules, it usual for them, but I sure do enjoy the peace and quiet (except, of course, when Super Storm the Wonder Dog sees a doggo going for a walk along the street).
I'm playing hookey today. It was super super super slow at work on Thursday and Friday, and I'd rather be "sick" and get some stuff done around here.
I did yesterday's declutter challenge this morning while I had a couple of loaves of banana bread in the oven. All sorts of stuff on the door of the fridge - various lotions and gels and such for "tired, aching legs and feet" that have been sitting there unused for years! I've also filled a box with stuff from the kitchen to go for donation. I'm even letting some of my Tupperware go. It's expensive stuff, but I can't use all that i have, and nowhere to put it all. Might as well send it to a good home.
Ta das for so far today:
- baked banana bread
- put out the black bin and recycling
- taken meds
- filled a box of donations
- washed a load of dishes
Next up:
- let ddoggos out for a sniff around the yard
- throw/put away 10 things from the patio table
- water patio pots and planters
- hill potatoes
- find something in the freezer for supper
I'd better check the decluttering thread, too, so I can keep up with that!

Re: Tuesday the Second Ta dah PWYC
I got that lot done, as well as folding and putting away a load of laundry. Then I sat down for a break, and half dozed for an hour or so
Now I need to get myself back on track before the day is gone.
- wash master bedroom floor
- clean off the top of the dresser
- put/throw away ten things from the dining room table
- take out compost scraps
- water veggie beds in the back yard

Best wishes on appt with dh' dr., Cathy. Hope dr is as pleased as you think they might be.
We had Italian for an early supper - we've decided that red sauce is either for early supper or lunch!
Had an idea for HRH's excellent sauce base in that it can go into a lasagna next time. I'd like that.
bittersweet, you are getting so much done.
Ramblin', we were definitely chatting about switching up the areas we don't have (or need much work on) for July declutters. Everyone has a different set of places in need, lol.
