I am picking up the pieces of my organizational methods that were dropped along the way. Using a paper brain is highly effective for me. There is something about pen and paper that processes my thoughts differently than using keyboard.

DH is having a mentally slow morning. I'll document some later.

DGS27 texted this morning. We tried to find a time to meet today but our schedules & locations didn't match. We will try again next Saturday.

I need to make some things sparkle in my bathroom. Has anyone used The Pink Stuff?

Thanks for opening the village LadyM I'm not sure what all is going to get done around here today. DS is leaving for a camping trip with a friend today - 300 miles away! My anxious mother brain is already worrying about them getting there safely, and being safe while they're there. There's a reason the area is called Castle Wildland Provincial park!

I'm just sitting here enjoying my morning coffee, and feeling the cool breeze coming in the window.

What on earth is "the pink stuff", LadyM?

I do have a car full of stuff to take to the donation centre later this morning.

At some point today, I NEED to get over to the community garden to do some weeding. For now I'll putter around the house and get a few things done.

- morning dailies
- wash dishes
- feed ddoggos
- add two foot spas (one I don't use, and one from dMum's that I don't use) to the donation stuff in the car
- vacuum living room and kitchen

Morning girls …

LadyM…yes I use the Pink Stuff all the time. I have both the liquid and paste. It’s magic for many things…I use it in my bathroom shower, kitchen and stove and even to clean my large garbage cans I take out to the street. You can Google ways to use it.

I have another headache rolling around in my head. Took half of a pill to see if I can kill it

I had an interesting experience late last night. As I was about to turn out my light to sleep I noticed a black thing on my wooden floor. Got up to look at it and realized it was a spider a bit bigger than a quarter. A closer look told me it was the shape of a very small tarantula. Now I’m not afraid of spiders but decided I needed something more substantial than a paper towel cause I was afraid it might bite me when I went to kill it.

I reached for a pair of sock that was on my nightstand, cover the spider with them and stepped on it. When I lifted up the socks to see if it was dead I realized it was still alive. Covered her with the socks and stepped hard and heard a crunch. Went to pick up the socks and discovered these little tiny specks the size of pepper and watched as they started to scurry away.

Realized they were the babies of the now dead spider! I quickly used my socks to wipe them up and immediately threw my socks outside. Came back with a wet paper towel and wipes up the ones I missed and threw that in my outside garbage can.

Curiosity got the best of me so I research what this spider was. Discovered it was a Wolf Spider and the female carries her eggs on her belly until they hatch. Then the babies climb up onto her under belly and she Carrie’s them until they are old enough to live on their own. Wolf Spiders are very good for the environment and eat pesky bugs. They are also poisonous and can cause a pretty good sting is you’re hit by one.

When Sweetie got up this morning… I was sleeping in the other room due to my headache .. I told him of my midnight adventure. A little while later I went outside to look at my socks only to find he had put them in a garbage bag and tied them up. Said he wasn’t in the mood to raise more spiders and I had to agree with him.

I'm trying to get myself together today and for the weekend and next week. It seems too early for a weekend since I feel like the last two days were off somehow.

I was up at 7:30 then snoozed until a little after 8. I've ordered deli meat to pick up at publix and made a grocery list. Dog is walked. I asked dh to pick up the script for me that is in the opposite direction.

I need to head out to grocery. First:
-brush teeth, etc.
-hang up laundry in washer
-start the dishwasher
-clear kitchen counters and wipe
-make the bed

I cooked breakfast for everyone. Two types of biscuits, eggs and hot links. I passed on eating the biscuits but did put a couple eggs on Xtreme tortilla wrap for my first meal.

DH bathtub has a hole in it!! He said he stuck his finger in it? I am not sure how that happened, but it is what it is. That bathtub is now out of business until we can get it replaced. We each have our own bathroom so that puts us back into sharing mode. DH and I shared a bathroom for the first 45ish years of our marriage, so it isn't a big deal.

I need to decide if I just want to replace the bathtub or renovate the entire bathroom. hum..... I need to make a pro/con list to help me decide.

rethinking my project might be morphing in to a grandparents legacy my inner brat was
making a fuss and wanted to be in the project X ~ sigh so I thought to look up legacy writing they have journals ready made!
First I will look up prompts and see what I can use. Did that with success yea!

Made brfast and had enough for two wraps have one ahead for later yummy! I wrapped it in parchment paper I
had extra piece handy on the counter then popped it in a baggy drying to decide if I want to freeze it or eat it tomorrow.

I vacuumed the bedrooms also dumped the trash.
Watered some in both front and back grassy areas. Watered the back beds.

I am 90% done with my 1st ring of completion for steps already today at 8:30.
Have not been to the basement yet.
This is my regular Sat. stuff.

It seems that we don't sell "The Pink Stuff" in Canada.. or at least not anywhere in Alberta. I can order it through W almart, but it would take almost two weeks to get here! I ain't that desperate for yet another cleaning product. I think I'm going to do the same as yesterday - a mix of indoor and outdoor chores. It's not hot at the moment, but it's going to warm up more this afternoon.

Way to go, Nancy! You've been busy this morning!

RamblinRose, what on earth will all those orphaned baby spiders do now that their mommy has suffered the worst fate in spiderdom?

Next up:

- water in the back yard
- put/throw away 10 things from the patio table
- prune Russian almond bushes by the back gate
- put/throw away 10 things from the dining room table
- clean off the kitchen counters

I made a list of items I will be picking up. I am not a regular curbside user, so I am not confident doing it. The process is simple but getting piles of stuff put into my vehicle without knowing they are the right things feels iffy. I added a couple things to my order so now I am picking up 36 items. When I do curbside they expect you to open vehicle hatch and they put everything inside the vehicle. It is all boxed and packaged. How am I supposed to know that all 36 items are there unless I check? I made a list so I can check before leaving the parking lot today.

I'm torn between the ease of using curbside and the confidence I get when doing the shopping myself. It seems simpler when i check the item off my list as I put the items into the cart myself. Bonus when I do scan and go to pay.

Last Monday I picked up a curbside order that included a rotisserie chicken. Wednesday the chicken had a bad odor and was slimy. I have never had a rotisserie chicken go bad before. It made me wonder if the chicken had been mishandled when they were gathering & assembling my curbside order. In the future I definitely won't be purchasing any more rotisserie chicken using curbside.

The only reason I started using curbside is because of DH. He seems to get mentally overwhelmed when inside stores. It might be a better option to do my own shopping and leave DH in my vehicle with it running to keep him cool. Or I can just leave him home with DD13 and shop as quick as I can.....but that puts me 30-45 minutes away if something happens. None of the options are perfect.

We do have Wolf Spiders around here. I'd say of the spiders that are large enough to notice, the Granddaddy Long Legs is most prevalent, then the Wolf Spider, then the Writing Spider. Plenty of little types - who knows how many different ones we probably have in our area, if we only knew. The Wolf Spider is the only one of the larger spiders that I've seen turn up as a surprise indoors.

Honestly, I figured most spiders left little spun (?) containers for their future babies and just went about their merry way, no more maternal than a turtle. Didn't know any were actually carrying them to an age they'd be capable of taking off on their own. Ramblin', that experience was quite like a Harry Potter scene! Buy yourself some comfy new socks.

LadyM, we continue to see that the list of sensible reasons for either curbside or delivery for stores just grows. Dd44 is capable as can be and her boys able to care for each other, but she still uses both options to simplify her days. Yes, especially with groceries, it can be eye-opening to see some of the strange mistakes made by those who choose items for you. We still laugh about the time we got tomatillos when we'd ordered tomatoes. And, as you would expect, HRH is very suspicious that expiration dates are not being noted, but most of the time, people seem to know what they are doing. Of course, if you think you actually got a too-old meat product, that verges on unforgivable... ..
