Write it down!

From Getting Things Done

STEP 1
CAPTURE
Collect what has your attention
Write, record, or gather any and everything that has your attention into a collection tool.

Journaling and writing things out are also important - in genealogy, trying to write a narrative or proof argument often exposes the holes in research and thinking.

And then there's our resident writer, Nancy, who writes daily. I'm hoping she'll weigh in.

I am so sore this a.m. but it's when I bend at the hips, not walking. I walked ddog two laps. I had 12K steps yesterday.

I have 11 a.m. OT and 1 p.m. workout. I will go to my workout, but not sure how much I'll be able to do. I'm pretty sure it's a good idea to keep moving tho. Dh is out tonight so I'll do the needed HOA checks. Tomorrow a.m. I need to leave by 11ish to get to K-town to meet dcousin. There is a program at temple tonight that I'd like to go to, but I think it's too much.

I'm heading to s2s, need to do kitchen counters and s2s and I'm done with a.m. routine. Should be out of here in an hour.

Twins Thanks for asking & the mention.
I am looking forward to a legacy journal coming for a writing project I put on pause until that comes.
I did not write my morning pages in my journal yesterday.
So caught up that just one page for that and today is done now.

I did do SJ & DP and task list decided that was enough.
Down loaded some PDF / for writing info. with this new to me PC files are on the old one and
I needed some for the nest step of my writing more than just the beginning phase.

Was carding wool and spinning for Tour De Fleece project.
Did two sessions of knitting / be of the smoke and heat.
Have 6k + steps in by 7:30 today yea!

Made myself mop.
Today got sheets in the dryer.
Morning watering walk done.

It is less smokey today yea! The changed as the wind shifted after my shower the sun is behind smoke could be cooler b/c of it
a benefit.
Goal to get yt of my spinning & knitting projects. X

Twins - thanks for the start today.

I cannot believe how quickly the time passes. I have been up for 4 hours but it feels like much less.

I did morning mile, morning papers, personal AM cards, cooked a hearty meal (potatoes, 2 types of meat, and omelets), worked in the garden removing 2 large tomato plants and cages, harvested strawberries, okra (1st of the year!), tomatoes, beets, peppers, cut several tree limbs and put them in the trailer, watered in the front and back yards, chatted with DH, DS15 and DD13. How did that take me 4 hours? I was taking my time and enjoying the moments, so the time passed without me being aware.

This might be of interest to some / FIres in the region
water tanker planes are dipping water out of rivers and lakes in the area to go on fires
East and South of us.
One road to an natl. park area we like three hrs. south is closed bc fire jumped the road 1/2 way there. 101 mi. to Wallowa.
16 mi. to the fire, up and over a couple of mountains from here.
The other one is 45 min. apx. from here. [72 mi.]

Dh is currently cutting the grass. We've had a lot of rain in the past few days and he decided it had to be done this morning.

We went to Walmart last night, so dh could get out of the house. He didn't complain about all the walking but he wasn't going very fast.

We are having leftover spaghetti and meat sauce tonight.

I cooked chicken and potatoes for lunch.

DD13 selected card #2 to from bag and it was for 2nd shelf of the west bookcase in her bedroom. It didn't take her long at all to do that. That shelf has 41 action figures, clothes, and props for her Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collection. These are precious to her. She has carefully selected and bought most of them with her own money. All those items stay.
2 segments of her bedroom done. 28 to go.

DH has gathered a couple coffee cans of loose coins that we have collected over time. We are going to take them to the nearest commercial coin counter and trade them for green bills.

DD13 selected card #3 from the bag. This card was to declutter and clean the top shelf over her desk. She listed everything on this shelf and declared that each item needs to stay. I am stumped on how to proceed. It seems overwhelming to discuss each item with encouraging her to reduce her STUFF. Items on this one shelf -
3 baskets
3 fake plants
mask
candy container
fake red bird
rake mushroom decoration
posing mannequin
cereal box project
painting
2 flutes
container of seashells
container of rocks
More rocks
cow keychains
bowl of small toys.
It seems like mostly a bunch of junk to me, but each item has meaning to DD13.
The concerning part to me is that we haven't even got to the hard segments yet. These are the easy ones.

LM /Maybe talked about a rotation
a specific number of items and change them out.
I have to do this in my living room with seasonal decor.
