Goodbye to that cast! The Big Reveal of a new normal.

PODA today is quick spiffing, off to farawayland, grocery for a few of the grands' favorites, back to get ready, and then having a favorite visitor for the rest of the day, dgdC. Sewing lessons from my teaching folders, amended for her. Specially requested no-onion spaghetti by Grandpa. Then she'll be picked up here by a big brother with many school orientation stories to tell.

There is a cat telling me I'm late with breakfast. When he's right, he's right. :D poof

Checking - in /
I've been in my butterfly room b/c of the light I'd was dark out when I got up at first.
Made an apt for myself to do desk duty stuff after my "class".

Osprey next door are screeching outside now.
I need to water the plants & bubls I moved in the garden yesterday.

The coach next door has football practice starting today I'm SO glad my life now longer revolves around sporting stuff
and I can focus on things I've wanted to do for a long time! Feeling blessed today to be able to say I'm on a new road.
I dreamed of that last night wa-hoo it's in my psyche".

Tummy bug is easing up and I started feeling quite a bit better yesterday afternoon but still am taking extra good
care of myself.

Today's plan is to dust the top of the fridge, china hutch & stove hood as I continue with that zone & I can listen to my class. Done.
Last evening I swept & vacuumed glad for limited progress this week.
Mopped yea!

Thanks Harriet for the encouragement on the mending of the book bag and yes I think it will be simple enough
it's black so will need good lite for doing that. Glad for your news as well, as cast coming off today for Twins.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning girls…

It’s been a quite stormy night and into the morning. In fact it’s just started back with thunder and rain.

I wanted to do an Amazon return today but do to these storms will put it off for another day. I usually do laundry on Thursday but since I have my procedure tomorrow and I’m gonna be hanging around the house today decided to start working on it.

I had so much energy yesterday and still today I’m wondering if the infection that was in the tooth that I had the root canal was causing me to feel off. The tooth was packed with antibiotics and I have to go back in two weeks to have that procedure done again. The dentist was very surprised that the tooth wasn’t causing me any pain. I do know he had to do a lot of work on the roof of my mouth there the tooth sit… it’s my big front buck tooth… so maybe the infection was seeping into my body.

I was warned my tooth would be sore for up to a week and week as the gums around it. Surprisingly neither is the case. However I am being careful how I eat. Need to cut food into tiny pieces so I can put it into the side of my mouth.

Waving to y’all…Harriet, glad you had such a good report.

Hi!

Supper last night was so good. Tonight's supper will seem boring in comparison. Brats and mac and cheese from a box.

Dh has his consultation for the colonoscopy. I really hope he gets the answers he needs to hear so he will agree to the procedure which is scheduled for next Wednesday.

Right now he has a very sore back and has a massage scheduled for tomorrow. I hope it helps with the pain he's been having over the past few days that has been getting progressively worse.

Good Morning!

There are many good things happening in the SHE village today. WhoooHOOO! I am thrilled for each of them.

(((Cathy & DH))) I hope he gets some relief.

I woke up ready to get started on the day even though the sun wasn't up yet. I listened to my body and got started. I was done with my morning walk before sunrise. The daylight is getting shorter each day so later sunrise and earlier sunset.

Homeschool has been accomplished and DS16 launched to work. Yesterday he hauled fertilizer spreader from the coop to the field. Then he hauled round bales from field to barn. DS16 thought what he was doing was fun with a bonus of getting paid for doing it.

I harvested vegetables this morning and spent some time processing them. Okra, tomatoes, peppers are in abundance.

Next up -
** Cucumbers sliced and put into vinegar/sugar mixture
** Squash and zucchini cubed and put into the freezer.

Appointment was early - they make 9:20 appt but then want one there at 9:05. Today things were running late - I can't complain because this office is usually on-time and quick, it's not so bad if it's only a now and then thing. Cast is gone, hand and arm hurt some, swollen, stitches out and incisions covered with steri-tape for a few days. X-ray looks good, I still have the plate that's on the lower side of my wrist and it will stay. Less wrist movement than I had hoped but doc says to use it in normal ways. I'll do some OT after we come back from the beach on 7 Sept.

I got the dog walked and ate breakfast before I left earlier but not much else. I didn't get up until 7:30ish and had to leave by 8:40. Dh was here but his tummy was bothering him so he didn't want to go walk with ddog.

The trip to Nashville was successful. I found a record of a deed transferring the Quaker meeting house in Loudoun Co, VA to the trustees, one of which was my 6th gr-grand father. One of the other trustees supposedly married the sister of my 5th gr grandmother, another small piece of indirect evidence. Did not find a record of a gr uncle's probate, was trying to track what happened to family land because he had bought out his siblings.

My hand/arm does hurt some. I need to do a.m. routine and figure out an easy dinner for us. Dh will be away tomorrow night.

We are finally having cooler weather. High today low 80s, and it was 65 degrees when I left the house this a.m.

I napped a bit. I took some ibuprofen for the hand, perhaps will help with inflammation too. Still some swelling apparent. Somehow I didn't realize it would hurt so much. I think the cast aggravated some arthritis in my thumb too.

Going to set my timer and work beginning at :15 after the hour, to the TOTH.
