Blessedw2 - Welcome Home! So glad you are back in the SHE village.

Kathryn - THANK YOU for the technical guidance and support.

This morning, I made a pot of my favorite kind of soup. 6 kinds of protein. 6 kinds of vegetables. 2 kinds of legumes. Add multiple spices and my taste buds and body are so happy - I would classify it as a JOY!

DS16 has officially moved to his own living space. The move isn't finished because he left a bunch of STUFF in his former bedroom and bathroom so that process will continue for several more sessions. DS16 is beyond thrilled with his new independence. Last night DS16 and girlfriend went to the grocery store to stock his refrigerator and spent $80. They were flabbergasted at the cost of the few items they bought. I just smiled and said "Adulting is expensive, isn't it?" I expect they will do most of their future food shopping in our pantry and freezer. DS16 best friend spent the night last night in his new space. Yesterday I bought several meals at BBQ place and I also bought 2 pizzas so our refrigerator was well stocked. When I woke up this morning our refrigerator looked bare. I guess their $80 of food didn't last long so they raided our refrigerator during the night. (I am 10000% okay with that)

I don't have anything on my calendar for today. I am pleased to have time to make progress on a couple of projects. Next week has 6 appointments so I need to make hay while the sun shines.

Yayyy!! So glad that Kathryn was able to get blessedw2 back into the village!

It's weekend, so I can pop in and visit. Heaven knows there's lots to get done, since I'm almost always too tired after work during the week. Somehow or other, in the next two weeks, I need to get this place into some sort of non-embarrassing condition, since dB and dSiL will be over visiting. They won't be staying with us, but they'll want to visit, and this place is a disaster! Not so much just the clutter and cleaning that needs to be dealt with, but all the projects to spruce up the place that have never been done. I know there's really not a lot can be done about those in the next two weeks, but the clutter and such can certainly be improved. All I need to do is stop panicking and get moving.

First, though, I need to have another cup of coffee and come up with a plan!

- get more coffee!!
- refill meds
- breakfast/morning meds
- feed ddoggos
- morning dailies

The Joy here of course is dgs 3. Unfortunately he comes with diarrhea! So a lot of my day so far has been spent cleaning and doing laundry and queuing up more laundry to be done and trying to find plastic bags to seal dirty diapers into.

On the bright side, he slept from 9:00 to 7:00 waking only at 5:00 and we gave him milk after taking him to the bathroom. At that point there was no diarrhea. When he came into our room after 7:00 a.m., his first words were big poop! And he wasn't kidding! We had every single window of the apartment open trying to air the place out.

I'm hoping the day will turn out a bit better as his innards settle down. He ate a good breakfast and then probably had another huge mess so I am hesitant to trigger his digestive system. The big poop this morning came after he had his milk at 5:00 and I don't think those two events are unrelated.

We still have to grocery shop and pick up something for dinner tonight for the barbecue although that will be happening with everyone eating inside not on the patio because of rain and cold. That makes the loudness of dgs more of a problem. I'm still assuming that the diarrhea is from eating dirt because when we picked him up from daycare his face was covered in dirt including up his nose and we have had to redirect him in the past, for instance stopping him from eating sand at the beach.

It's a joy to say I've been up at a more normal time 6:30 ish ~
when ever the sun was up so a delay in the other things no prob.
hot & smokey again today here.

I've watered in back.
Stayed home to put my foot up as needed from sore toe wart removal.
Soaked my feet again they needed it.
Found net flix series I enjoyed that is working in the basement again now.
Seems they were tweaking it for costume movies!
I still have a bit more journaling to do have cleaned off a desk did a reset for a fall vibe with a planner & cover.
Still one more journal to do it is the pm reflections one.

CE current events class / had another one last evening nope one was enough for a day for me.
Keeping the good vibes from sewing ripped a failed bag project up to cut to fit the pattern size I want glad to do that.
Next I need to get the right length zippers, I gathered up a collection of them when I first thought of doing this project like 6 mo. ago! LOL!

Did a couple of errands back home now after the market and veggie stand.

Oh no, Kathryn!! Toddlers and "big poops" can be such a challenge!

Last round is all done - didn't take very long at all. Now I'm just listening to the last few minutes of my audio book, and then it's back to work. I've found a new author (Phillip Margolin), and have been listening to every one of his books!

Now to get myself back to work. My garden is also in dire need of attention today, so I'll be doing some rounds outside with DS gettting things sorted and put away or given away or tossed.

First - in the house:

- dishes (probably need to do two rounds - there's a lot!)
- vacuuming living room/dining room/hallway
- put/throw away 10 things from the dining room table

Like Nancy, we have an air quality issue here today - wildfire smoke coming down from northwestern BC. *sigh* that means I'll have o limit my time outside. It's already at 9, and the highest that scale goes is 10+((which it's expected to get to this afternoon)

Finally got the bib photo to post in A, C and N thread. I was about to think I'd lost my folder of photos on my computer, for one thing. Just needed to start over again fresh.

Morning Dailies were done well. I had a moment, listening to dryer hum as I worked at the sink, and thought to myself what a nice moment of normalcy, household running along well, from point A to point B. That can certainly be counted a JOY.

HRH and dd44 tried to figure out a meal together for our households today, but it didn't work out. She is driving various boys hither and yon today. Maybe tomorrow. Next weekend will be even more busy for her, as WonderBoy starts refereeing soccer games.

bittersweet, for some reason, as I thought of your plans and hopes for kinfolk visit, I was reminded of cleaning videos. We've chatted here before that sometimes they are both entertaining and inspiring, although it's not always clear why. Some these days on youtube are very straightforward, almost plain, and even speeded up at times, which can cause a smile. I guess the times I've felt inspired were times I thought, "Oh, for goodness sake, I could do that just as well." and then wondered about proving it. Kind of a "hold my cherry cola" moment.

I wish each of us could be there for the others, cheerleading. But ya'll don't come to my house 'til I clean it up.

Well, that round took longer than I thought it would! Mainly because I got an email saying my spotify password had been changed. Ummmm... nope I didn't do that! The link to reset it wouldn't work, so I had to go through their support which, although quite good, is also rather slow..LOL However, all is sorted for now. That's one of the issues with having an email like "doublechocolate" .. everybody thinks they can use it as theirs! I've had emails from the southern states about colleges, one from Virginia or somewhere advising about utility hookup dates...LOL It can be a bit bothersome at times!

And - just like that - the entire morning is gone! Why can't time go quickly when I'm at work, and slower when I need to get things done around the house?

Kathryn - I love hearing about your DGS3.

I have done more decluttering and deep cleaning sessions. I am trying to be kind as I am discovering AGAIN and AGAIN how big of a slob that DS16 can be as we clear out his bedroom/bathroom. I am doing one small segment at a time to keep me from being overwhelmed. Declutter, deep clean and then move my things into that newly clean space. Rinse, repeat, over and over. Today I did the medicine cabinet, vanity top/underneath/drawers, windowsill and space between vanity and the wall. I found a skinny 3-tier shelf that fit perfectly into that gap. I am moving my things from the largest bathroom to the smallest bathroom in the house. Storage space in the smallest bathroom is limited so I am having to be creative in how I use it.

DS16 and a friend have moved a 60" TV from his bedroom wall to his new living space. They haven't moved the TV mount from the wall yet so I have no idea where DS16 intends to put the TV. I am staying out of these decisions because I want DS16 to experience all the many details that is part of moving.

I am keeping my eye on the end of September as a goal to finish this 4 room move project. Are we there yet?

I would be more joyful if D*rectTV didn't have a problem with Disney and I could watch the ballgame on tv. I'm going to check YouTube after I sign off here. I have it on the radio and we are ahead after the first two possessions. 7-7 early in the first quarter.

I've s2s -- I even washed my hair and shaved my legs!
I did my Bible reading.
I went to town -- post office, DG for a 12-pack of cokes for church picnic tomorrow.
Ordered a pizza from the service station closest to me. I'll have to go get it ASAP. Spent more time here than I meant to! Oops!
