Conga line Friday PWYC: The music is starting!

Hear the music? The conga line is starting up, step in when you're ready, step away when you need the break.

Let's move!

Hi!

Pest control company has been and they sprayed for spiders outside. All 3 cats are in the house, and I think 2 of them are under the bed. Baby cat is in her tent in the bedroom closet. The other cats know she's in the closet, but they might not know how to get to the tent, as it's hidden behind some clothes.

I have some dishes to deal with, including emptying the dishwasher.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.

I am starting to pack the car to return home. I've s2s and had breakfast.

Dh was up for about 30 minutes and went back to bed. He's so asleep right now, he didn't move when I came in and packed my bag, nor when his phone is giving him notifications of messages.

I'm anxious to get home before rush hour will slow our trip but that ship has sailed. Now I just need to get home before the highway shuts down in the evening. I'll be looking at an additional hour to get home once that happens.

I can't concentrate on anything so there's no point staying up here.

DC's grandmother tested positive for covid yesterday and now I'm wondering if that is what dh has. (We haven't seen her so if he does have covid it is because of it circulating in the general community not because of a specific exposure.)

I'm upstairs while dcleaning lady is doing her magic downstairs. I'm going to inventory my cardstock colors and stamp a little today.

Dh is finally up and showering. 18 hours in bed in total.

Ds has ordered me to stay up here so I guess I will. Dgs is in daycare until 3, then dd will take him for a few hours and then ds will drive back home and stay there until DC is released (some point tomorrow.) It wasn't appendix, apparently a kidney infection without any symptoms. Friends drove ddil's car to the hospital and left it there for her so she can come home with DC tomorrow. I had given ds a self inflating mattress and he has left that, a blanket and pillow for ddil to use on the sleep chair next to DC's bed.

I still can't concentrate, I just want to cry. But I'll unload what I had taken out to the car.

Thinking this morning of ((village households)) who are concerned about ((dear family)).

editing: Kathryn, it's a good thing to have someone else so close to the situation giving you their best advice about the needs. This takes burdens off of you and Ken just in case you have enough of your own. Time with Aunt dd will be very cool for dgs. Grateful for a diagnosis and a plan at hospital.

We're middling-to-okay today. HRH definitely got the worst of it, and I was somewhat spared. It's a mystery - we partly want to attribute to the Cari bou Coffee place at the medical plaza early. Anyway, something reached out from some food/beverage place and clobbered us.

Dstepdil came yesterday and visited an hour or so, bringing a few treats and card for HRH's birthday. She's making basil pesto today with ingredients from her garden and will be bringing some of that to him today. Dstepson is far away but might come back this weekend before heading into a full week of out-of-state work.

Ds called and chatted with HRH a while - he says his finger seems to be healing well.

Dd26 and dsonil surprised with a cheery short video saying happy birthday, out on a lake somewhere near Portland. They were squinting and obviously being buffeted by wind, lol. Looked like fun.

I've just finished my grocery list and Morning Dailies were done well. HRH wants to nap, so whatever Conga I choose will need to be the quiet type!

I'm still hoping to get to the deck for a nap in the sun. I did get it all swept off (the trees are starting to lose their leaves.) The dock is out as a nap location, there's a good size portion of skat on it that I'll just leave for now (seems too big for a fox, too black for a dog, hopefully too small for a bear.)

I left a joy over in J&C, this one from dfs. This day is certainly has me spinning. Dh is now up and dressed and sounding stronger. He's started to eat a little and since he hasn't eaten in 24 hours that's a good thing.

did I miss the conga line????
hello - I jump on the end of the line and hold on for another dancing adventure.

I don't know if I ever told you but my grandfather danced until his 90's when he was doing the Charleston and kicked his leg too high and got a hernia - Can't say he didn't have energy! The Charleston was big in France when he was young. He could laugh at it - but his dancing from the moment were just marches and polkas :D

hello all!

so far: mom is here - she complained a bit but then she helped me make blueberry coffee cake, pick tomatoes and green beans and did dishes - right now she is watching walker Texas ranger.

I am going to clean the floors, do a put away in the kitchen etc. I still have to use up the zucchini hoard that I created. 1/2 are shredded already and frozen for future breads.

hello hello d Kathryn!!! ooo a nice rest. praying for health for your dh and all. praying for your spirit!

happy belated birthday d HRH
your d step dil sounds lovely!
praying for healing for your dh as well!

hello d Nancy (gosh I like saying hi to all of you again)
yay on your work!

hi d twins! I love the cleaning angels magic! thank you for setting up the conga line!!!
it is always a joy to be here with you!

what I want to do: cut up the rest of the zucchini and make the veggie dish for the freezer.
I had heard that I could can chunks of bigger squash with pineapple juice and lemon juice. Supposedly it is a substitute for pineapple in recipes but I don't make pineapple upside down cake.

what I should do - clean the counters or cut up the zucchini
it is always a joy to be here with you!
