Thanks for the start LadyM. I couldn't wake up this morning - it's kind of gray out and sunrise is a little later. I'm dragging this morning, hoping the coffee will fire me up!

I'm supposed to finish a.m. routine by 11, so here I go.

I have vacuumed ALL the floors. I also vacuumed and mopped under the bed. (Even with a tiny house with very little storage, under our bed is clear because cats hide/sleep under there.)

DD13 driven to school with a lively chatter happening. DS16 is off to work. DH got up and around early this morning. DH thought his doctor appt was this morning, but it is tomorrow. We talked about this appointment 3 times yesterday. His short-term memory works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. I reminded him to look at the calendar.

The contractors will be here later in the day to continue the bathtub project. This must do project seems to drag on f-o-r-e-v-e-r.

RR - now that your new outdoor remote-controlled blinds are in place - how do you like them? I have a lifelong friend that installed them on her big patio that faces the west, and she loves being able to control how much sun she gets in the different seasons.

Thinking of Elizabeth this morning as I did a WTF task.

I need to cuop but that will be later.

Dgs is at the park with dh now. I've got dressed and flipped the laundry. The dryer just buzzed so I'm off again to remake dgs bed.

I'm starting a grocery list for WM and will do that after dropping off dgs at daycare at 1:30.

This is my favorite time of the year. Hum...I might be guilty of saying that about all the seasons. I love this time of the year because Zipper spiders are appearing and showing off their impressive web building skills. Zipper spiders are the only spider that I protect. Besides their amazing webs (with zippers) they catch flying insects including the abundant grasshoppers which makes me happy.
We are still having some hot days - the next few days predicted temps are 99, 102, 101, 98. But those are 10 degrees less than our typical summer temps, so we are done with the excessive heat. Less heat and zipper spiders for the WIN!

I am making slow but consistent progress -
** Garden watered
** Tomatoes harvested
** Rabbits fed and watered
** cooked & ate scrambled eggs with an abundance of sauteed vegetables

why thank you!!!

I had such a gentle birthday yesterday! eXactly what I wanted; a true joy!

Dh and I told our family that from now on we want simple birthdays of just saying happy birthday and enjoying the time together and that is exactly what they did! It was perfect! I like celebrating others more than myself but this was day filled with simple beauty.

dh, mom and girls bought me "my gardening journal" https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/my-gar ... 1941325957 and I love it!

Yesterday, My morning started with brunch with 2 of my cousins, my mom and youngest dd. The morning was filled with texts from both families and ending with candles and a small cake. I didn't even have to drive my mom home - dd younger took care of her meds, went grocery shopping for mom and filled her fridge, and made she she was fine! dd even watered out all the pots for me so I didn't have to!

I feel like I went on vacation!

Morning y’all…

Went to my class this morning and then out to coffee with my girls. Came home and hustled outside tondo yard work before the storms came. Only rained a second or two. Came inside to read abt the village when Sweetie called me out to the garage. He found a small snake and wanted me to see it because he knows I love snakes

This little fellow was only a foot long and very thin. He had was black with a bright ring around his neck and when I picked him ups I noticed his belly was a bright orange. Never seen one like this before. I discovered he’s a prairie or redneck snake. Corse I let him go.

LadyM… I love your spiders. When I lived in Mobile I had many banana spiders that are very much like yours.
They too make amazing webs an I loved to watch them weave their webs. Enjoyed watching what the spiders would do once the caught a bug in their web.

I love my new screens. They are so quite to operate and look so nice.

Coming back through to sip on tea and my feet up a few minutes.

progress made....
** High protein frozen treat mixed in the creami. I am having problems with one of the creami cups and it won't fit into the machine. Hum... Knowing what I know now....I would not purchase a creami again. However, since I already have it then i am determined to keep using it. DH loves having frozen yogurt in the evening. I like that it is tasty & high protein to fit my macros.
** Troubleshooted DS16 new-to-him bathtub. He says it won't drain. I have used this bathtub for several years and know what it likes. :) If you try to put lots of soapy suds down the drain it will slow to a crawl. Just rinse well and the drain doesn't have a problem.
** Decluttered a few items in the 4 room switch project. I need the use of a large open space like the garage to do this quicker. Having the middle of the garage taken up with storing the new bathtub and shower walls is a PITA.
