Monday Full of Fall PWYC
I don't think we acknowledged fall yesterday, and today is the first full day. We're supposed to be over 90 degrees today, though we do start to cool down again this week. Fall colors outside, change in temps for the better, and the turning of the season.
Enjoy your day!
Enjoy your day!

Re: Monday Full of Fall PWYC
Thanks for the thoughtful start this morning Twins' Mom!
We started out the morning with pouring rain but it seems to have stopped. It hasn't rained in a while. Dh has started to rip out the veggie plants.

Re: Monday Full of Fall PWYC
It has finally cooled down! The rain yesterday was wonderful - it wasn't as deep a rain as I had hoped but I am thrilled that the dryness has been broken!
I need to get dressed soon and go to mom's wake her up, feed her and give her meds.
the hopeful goal is to plant the hydrangea room. dig up peonies and drop them off at d sis in law
It's a beautiful new day - my cosmos bed is beautiful after the rain.
today roast the cherry sungold tomatoes for bruschetta for tonight.
----------------------------------
Leaves at play
"Scamper, little leaves, about
in the autumn sun
I can hear the old wind shout
Laughing, as you run
And I haven't any doubt
That he likes then fun
So run on and have your play
Romp with all your might
Dance across the autumn day
When the sun is bright
Soon you'll hear the old wind say
Little leaves, goo night

Re: Monday Full of Fall PWYC
Morning girls…
I have been to class, went to the grocery store to stock up on storm items and then filled my car up with gas.
The storm models are t confirmed yet, but most think the storm or Hurricane if it developed into that, will travel directly north and hit the panhandle of FL. I am on the west coast and unless the storm turns east I should be alright.
Most people in my community sat through Hurricane Ian, which was a cat 5, including me. My son left and worried about me the entire time so he made me promise not to do that again. I’m pretty sure we won’t be hit, but am keeping and eye on everything. This house is made of cinder block and mad it through 155mph winds with very little damage…we were lucky and only lost 40-50 tiles from our roof. I am above the flood zone though I do have a small lake behind my house. It didn’t flood during the last storm so I feel pretty good that it won’t again.
Anyway it’s a wait and see. I have non-perishable food, bread, soup, canned chicken, cookies and plenty of water. I filled my car up with gas and we have extra gas in a 5 gallon gas can, plus I have plenty of cash. We can use the pool water to flush our toilet if we loose water. Last time we sat through the storm and left the area two days later because we had no electricity or water. Might do that again depending how the storm go.
In the meantime I’ll do my laundry early this week before the storm and the same with paying my bills. Cant do that without electricity to run my computer. I can charge my phone with my extra battery pack I use for traveling or charge it through my car.
All the lanai furniture and plants are pushed together so that Sweetie can install the fans. The only thing left to do is bring the cushions inside, close the accordion shutters that protect our doors and windows and lower our new Hurricane screens.
This ain’t my first rodeo

Would you believe I had to go back to the store!! I forgot toilet paper and we’re almost out. No big deal unless you have a storm headed your way and the stores may be closed when I needed more paper

Re: Monday Full of Fall PWYC
I was at my body work appointment at 10 this a.m., massage therapist says my hand/wrist are much better. I nearly finished a.m. routine before I left but did wrap it up as soon as I got home.
I was going to stop and wash my car but dd called and I knew I couldn't hear her in the car wash, so I just drove on home. She's upset about apartment - management company won't fix things and tell her one thing and then another. But it's inexpensive and she likes it otherwise. I listened for about 10 min and then got off the phone.
We had a 20 or so minute shower yesterday that was so nice and our chances are looking up with the "potential tropical cyclone 9" in the gulf. Right now models have it coming this way, and we do need the rain!
I have PT at 2 today, and dh and I will eat out (Eggplant parm!)

Re: Monday Full of Fall PWYC
I slept in till 7:00
this morning.
I've just had bfast / brunch its just after ten.
I turned the heater on in my butterfly room / office and did qt some desk stuff.
Declawed some paper.
Got a sticky of the date for when we did a project for my in the legacy journal good to have the date on stuff for reference.
Then played with my stickers and glued some fun things on a five by seven envelope just for fun.
The house is cold. 53* / 81* f. today's temps.
Got dressed waiting on a couple packages they came, had class it was pretty interesting.
Had to turn off related stuff so I could do and think about other things.
Coughing just a big not as much energy as on some days oh well.
Next I need to take the bean soup down stairs that I Jared up. X
I have other mostly veg. I will have in a bit & call that lunch broth.
The back of the house looks better as that was where I put my focus yea for some progress.
Seems I do one room a day and that helps to rotate it around LR zone looks good still after I pulled
my hobby stuff out last week!
Plus I did remember to dust. I watered in front.
WTG on your progress gals!
Waving to all.

Re: Monday Full of Fall PWYC
Dh is safe at the guest house in Longido, and will start at the Learning Centre, probably tomorrow, knowing dh.
Here's a link about where he'll be volunteering for the next few weeks.
https://www.projectembo.org/what-we-do/ ... education/
I have had a semi productive day. Bed was stripped and remade, the sheets washed and put away, fresh towels out but I'm holding off on the towel load of laundry. I've watered the plants, rearranged the living room recliners slightly, put up the autumn paintings, and vacuumed the living room.
It doesn't sound like much and didn't really make a big dent in the mess here, I'm afraid.
I have a Costco run planned for later and will visit after school with dd's family.
I'm getting nervous about getting off on Wednesday as I'll be up for over a week and need to plan a fair bit of food. I have dgs tomorrow so also have some desk chores to do before he arrives but my paperwork piles are so disorganized, I am finding I'm paralyzed with indecision and can't push through to get anything done.

Re: Monday Full of Fall PWYC
hello again
'hello d Kathryn!!!
how exciting that your dh will be volunteering there! Sounds wonderful! yay on your work so far too!
d mom didn't want to come this morning but it's important for her to get out of her house a couple times a day. She doesn't see that she is really off if she stays home all day. It's not good for her water consumption either. Spoke to a neighbor when she left her apartment - nice man! He will be 90 in two months and my gosh what a sparkle this man had. really fit and full of joy! So much positivity.
dishes washing themselves - I kept the tv off and mom has eaten, petted the dogs and the cat.
Played Peter Paul and Mary album and now she is listening to the Kingston Trio and she is really enjoying.
She is sweeping and we are cleaning the kitchen.
time to Flip laundry again
