Managing Monday PWYC

Post by Twins' Mom »

Oh what a Monday! The house to myself and beautiful weather and not outside commitments! I'm only doing what I want to do today!

How are you managing your own Monday? We have such different lives - I'm so hoping that you manage the "must dos" and have a wonderful day!

Dh took dd to the airport this a.m. early - they left the house at 5:30 and I just got up to say good bye to her. It's been a really good visit. During the night, ddog was up around 2:30 barking like crazy, and then I woke up when dh got up. Then up to say goodbye, then I slept until almost eight. I'm so enjoying the sunshine, a fire in the gas fireplace, and the quiet.

Last night dd didn't get back here until nearly seven p.m. and her friend I came in with her for a minute. Then dfriend M and her dh came by for a visit. I read some while she watched TV until dh got here last night - wanted to be with her - but I was worn out with people yesterday and for the weekend. OTOH, this week dh is out Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and we're having friends over on Wednesday evening. Saturday is packed full - a bat mitzvah in the a.m., a Broadway performance in afternoon, and evening with the friend group that's been having dinners together. I may not go to the bat mitzvah but will make a card.

I really dread dh's retirement and him being underfoot so much.

Right now I need to get myself busy!

d harriet hope your roof gets fixed soon!
how nice that hrh had a friend over -

d Lucy good morning -

d twins thank you so much for starting us!!!
I hope your dd had a lovely flight! I am so you all had a wonderful visit!!!
I am so glad you are enjoying the fire, the sunshine coming in and a bit of quiet!
I hope you take a little time just for you after such a busy week and weekend. Enjoy your day!
When does your dh retire? I understand the feeling.

everyone knows it took "time" for my dh to learn how to keep himself busy on his own. He has gotten better on setting dates (lol most of the time) and not expecting me to just go. Every so often it still happens.

good morning everyone!

mom isn't feeling great so she is in bed. dd younger will bring her breakfast, (waffles) and her meds - also I will have dd set up the water on the counter.

I am still tired - my brain is awake but my body wants to be sedentary
I have to call the park district to register for a class I want to take.
I need to call member services for mom's exercise/trainer time

tonight: greek salad, fish in parchment (compound butter) easy dish.
At least I know mom is eating well.

Good Morning!

Today is the first day of back to school after 10 day fall break. Guess who didn't turn the alarms back on? Thankfully I woke up 10 minutes before needing to take DD13 to school. We both had to quickly get through our must do's before we went out the door.

DGS18 and DS16 are both sleeping in this morning. They got home around 11:15 last night. I am not sure what is on their agenda for today. They have already done the local touristy type places including hiking and going to the mountain top. They have also driven DGS18 vehicle in low places that it shouldn't be. Hopefully today they will find adventures that are safe.

on a podcast (farmhouse on Boone) one of the guests had said that one should not right down our dailies. She said that we should write down only the jobs we need to do and that everything else should be automatic.

I am not sure I could do that but I understand why. sometimes I am lucky to get through my weeklies and dailies.
I do have to focus on outside work but I have to break it down into time sections. I just can't do it all. 8-)
