Frosty Monday PWYC - Stay Warm!
Brrrrr! It's cold today! What will you do to keep your home warm and cozy?
I think we're all experiencing cold right now. I'm dreading going out later and I have two out of the house events today.

This is another day I'm bouncing in and out of the house like a ping pong ball. Our this a.m. for a badly needed haircut, then again this afternoon for a workout. Dh is home - he's walking the ddog in the "feels like" zero degrees. I need to get in the shower, I'm running a little electric heater in there right now to warm it up.

Re: Frosty Monday PWYC - Stay Warm!
Good morning
Today is the final day of our 4 day weekend. I am enjoying the change of pace.
We have two more days of below freezing weather. I am keeping my eyes on Wednesday forecast of 51F and sunny. I can see the light at the end of this cold spell.
I frequently think of the Dave Ramsey quote.... 'What happens at your house is a whole lot more important than what happens in the White House' I want to stay focused on what is important to me. What can I do today that will directly affect my life and those I love? It is up to me to make this the best day possible.

Dh has "blown the driveway". I went out and cleared my car and moved it so he could clear around where my car is usually parked. The snow is the very light stuff that we call powder, so it was very easy to clear the vehicles and the driveway. If you are wearing layers, you should be able to cope with the cold inside or out. I could have gone out there in a regular pair of shoes as the snow wasn't deep at all. There weren't any drifts either, which is nice.
No knitting this morning. I will go this afternoon to see if anyone else shows up.
Tonight we are having leftover chicken in sandwiches and (by request) macaroni and cheese from a box.
I had the most bizarre dream about an ex boyfriend giving me piles and piles of stuff from the 70's when we dated. The person also gave me a custom built bed "built for a queen" with a curved staircase on both sides of the headboard. There was just so much stuff, and it was all garbage. Totally bizarre. I guess the dream has something to do with all the decluttering I've been doing lately.

Re: Frosty Monday PWYC - Stay Warm!
Yesterday I guess I took blessed's suggestion to heart :
I changed out the design board and put up a different project that I'd like to get back to for 2025.
HRH came in and looked at it with me, too.
Otherwise, I was reacting badly to the antibiotic (digestively). Still am today, really. I've had oatmeal in an attempt to calm things down.
It is cold - I have on a small, thinner toboggan underneath a cotton bucket hat. We're under an alert or advisory. This is going to be tough going Thursday a.m. after 3 straight nights of the same, then having to leave home in the early dark and cold hours for my treatment.
After wrapping not only my, but HRH's gift to dd44, he's now had me wrapping another today. He's giving a sort of collectible gift to dstepdil from a favorite tv show of hers, even though it is not a special day for her at all. He's just so tenderhearted about her loss of her pet of all these years.
... .. sewing, dreaming, creating, and to have special time for self care. It is that time again!

Home from haircut and it looks mahvelous!
Temp is up to a balmy 17 degrees. I'm trying to hold the dog off a little longer for her walk. Dh already walked her this a.m. but I usually do also, and I do need the steps. I'm finishing my breakfast - didn't have time for all before I took off, and I think I'll have another cup of coffee.(Dog is outside right now, I don't believe it.)
I'm going to need to get upstairs some today.Dh is already on my last nerve! I mentioned earlier that I needed to get the dried mud, i.e. red clay, off my calf-length boots. As I was backing my car out, he was standing on our driveway banging the boots together to try to release the mud. On the driveway where it looks terrible and we could step in it again. And when I got inside, he used a dish towel to try to clean it up.
I just received an email from Dove, who can't get in. She's writing out what is happening and I will send on to Harriet and Kathryn.
