Conga Line Friday PWYC

Post by Twins' Mom »

Let's go! Do you hear the music in the background? It's getting louder as we fall in line, conga-ing through our tasks today. Whether we're erasing footsteps or dancing out of the house for errands or fun, fall in line for fun together.

Twins - thank you for the start today.

I sat down to review my daily doings.....
** Personal AM cards are almost finished. I still need to brush my teeth.
** Kitchen AM cards are done.
** Food prep for the day has been inventoried, analyzed and decisions made. We will be eating out today so less food will be needed prepared at home.

List has been prepared for errands today -
1 - Atwoods for seed potatoes, onions, and garlic to plant. This start to spring garden always brings me much joy.
2- Periodontal appt for me. Were my multiple surgeries successful? Today i will find out.
3 - Eat out
4 = Sam for curbside pickup order. i will also go inside the store and pick up 2 additional 18count of eggs. They limit purchasing only two in the curbside order.
5 - Sams gas into suv
6 - WMart curbside order pick up.
7 - Ariver grill that arrived broken to UPS store for return.
What else needs to be done in the city?
Stay curious. Challenge assumptions. Success loves persistence.

bw2, I hope you like your new doctor and the visit is efficient.

Dog walked, s2s complete, I need to eat and I'm conga-ing on out the door to the library with my laptop.

And whoops, here I am at the library - just now found this, lol.

Glad you're getting quality sleep, Harriet, and naps are permitted as well. I had a miscarriage once where I lost enough blood to pass out at home, alone, and had a trip to the ER. I did not get a transfusion but had to work at building my iron back up. When the doc saw me perhaps four weeks later he remarked that I had color again - he didn't need to check my iron.

Waving to Nancy, the early riser!

Got the most permanent stuff to me then skipped the rest.
Made rolls ~ savory cinn. roll dough less sug. no vanilla. / used the filling on the cream cheese package.
Added 1 T. salsa b/c I had no pepper flakes added mustard it was good. Rolls are raising now.
The recipe called for croissants from a can I did not get that b/c I wanted to do it this way.

back from dr. - I like her but will see if she is thorough like my old dr.

but she is caring! she is putting me with a diabetes nutritionist - she wants me to loose weight before my visit in 3 months. - denial was rampant for years - nah I don't have a problem - and it can't be was my usual retort to myself.

I was able to pick up a physical therapy recommendation for mom as well.

having soup from yesterday for lunch -
got mom creme brûlée from Ambrosias - I could make it but it. is not worth the work.
I also got some croissants and the cheese she likes

hello d twins! yay on dog walking! have fun at the library!
how hard and terrifying that you had that happen. did someone find you? Thank goodness they can help women who loose blood and as a result iron.

d lady yay on your personal and kitchen cards!!!
I love to hear that you can already plant cool weather crops! we can't for at least a month plus.
happy errand day

d harriet glad you got sleep last night! happy afternoon to you!

d Nancy hello happy early morning woke up for you! have a good day! you are rocking too!

hello do all!
it is always a joy to be here with you!

Good afternoon!

DC has finally shown their face. I heard stirring upstairs around 9:45, so I didn’t bother waking them before my 10 am therapy appointment , but when I was done, they were still not down. So I prodded them at 11… and 12… and 1. Finally, they are dressed and in the land of the living. I want them and DC to bring in the garbage and recycling cans before DC goes to work. And I want them to bring back a box if it’s still there. We had a dead duck in our yard. (How it got there, I don’t know.) But instead of putting it in a garbage bag and putting it in the trash, which is what one is supposed to do with small dead animals around here (I think — hope! — that if a deer dropped dead in our yard, Animal Control would take care of it), DH put it in a box and put it out next to the trash. I thought I saw the garbage man stop the truck, get out, take a look, and drive off. But I can’t be sure, because the hedge is in the way. I’m worried the recycling might have taken the box.

**********
Well… the kids brought back the cans, but somehow, the duck ended up out of the box, and the box ended up about 50 feet away (when and how this happened, I don’t know). So at least it didn’t get into the recycling, but now we’re stuck with a dead duck for another week. No crows or turkey vultures have come to our aid.

I’m glad your visit to the doctor was a good one, blessed. It’s nice to find a good doctor.

What is your class, Nancy?

Glad you had a good rest, Harriet!

That’s quite the PODA, LadyM!

I hope you’re conga-ing quietly in the library, Twins! ;)

I’ve got a stack of dishes to wash. We got takeout last night, so there were no dinner dishes. So now I’ve got yesterday’s and today’s breakfast and lunch dishes to do. Once those are done, I’ve got to hit today’s laundry. I’ve been caught up lately, and it feels so good!

Mystery my "class" is what I call "current events".
Some vet talks about war and some info. on yt covers issues that pertain to concerns they have
Israel, Gaza conflict, border crisis - they talk about [Russisa vs Ukraine but I skip that part.]
It's edgy and off the wall at times. [They like when stuff gets blown up.]
Maps are what I like b/c countries are diff. than when I went to school a bizzialian yrs. ago.
One vid. today was on how to tie knots to make a hand cuff with para cord to detain a passanger that's acting up
he's a former cop. / let me know if this is not appropriate here and I''ll edit and remove this ^ paragraph./

There is one on planning organization I've started but did not view the one today on digital detox yet.
Just covered it in my study this week. The 40 day project.

I finished a hot pad to go with the holiday ones it's white with a green stripe.

The rolls are divine. Marina sauce to dip in would be great but do not have that.
My recipe is a keeper.
