Tarantella is a group of various southern Italian folk dances originating in the regions of Calabria, Campania, Sicilia, and Apulia. It is characterized by a fast upbeat tempo, usually in 6/8 time (sometimes 12/8 or 4/4), accompanied by tambourines. It is among the most recognized forms of traditional southern Italian music. The specific dance-name varies with every region, for instance sonu a ballu in Calabria, tammurriata in Campania, and pizzica in Salento. Tarantella is popular in southern Italy, Greece, and Malta.

Good morning Trissie and thank you for the start and another interesting dance!

I hope you feel better soon, Helian. Stomach bugs are not fun!

So glad to hear your DDad has left hospital, Laura.

I'm sorry about all the mess with poor Germane, Dogged, but WTG finding a solution!

L.Ann, I hope you can find a way for DD to use the stove. My grandmother was also tiny, and use to use a wooden spoon to turn off our stove at the wall when she came to stay. Needless to say, I do *not* recommend this solution!

Yesterday was busy. I had a nice time with C but let's say I can understand just why PL needs a break! She is also a little woman, and her body may be failing a bit (she is quite deaf and her eyesight isn't good) but her mind is like a rapier! One of her favourite occupations is doing the crossword in the Telegraph - the fiendishly difficult one, not the "normal" one. I felt like a five year old as she explained her answers. She told me she is planning to take herself to the Cathedral today (she has a free bus lasts and knows the journey well).

Then I went for a nice walk in the sunshine and met Dnextdoorneighbour C for a chat, followed by some time in my garden. I think I have finished all the heavy jobs out there, at least for now. And I managed to clean my kitchen. So quite a full day, at least for me!

Today is church as usual this morning, then I have a "free" afternoon until Waitrose arrive, so I'd like to spend some time in my garden.

Good morning / good afternoon, L.Ann and Smilelee!

Enjoy the museum, L.Ann - free ice cream sounds yummy!

Im glad your energy levels have returned, Smilelee!

I'm finally back home, and sitting in my garden enjoying lunch in the sunshine, and listening to one of the neighbours cutting their grass. I really.meed to feed my pots today, but that's for later on

I managed to hoover the car and visit M&S Foodhall before church. We had a good Lenten service, and then celebrated MQ's birthday afterwards with cake. Then we stayed chatting for ages ! :D

So now I need to think what to do this afternoon. It's 19 C and beautifully sunny, so I think I'll stay out in the garden as long as I can, especially as we're forecast showers tomorrow.

Thanks for starting us off, Trissie.

Thanks, kittykatt. Enjoy your time in the garden.

Hi, L.Ann. We get to enjoy the Daylight Savings Time in the evening. Morning is not my friend, however it's dressed.

That is good news, Smile*Lee. Woo hoo on a good health day.

Hi, Peaches.

It is my day off today. I'm overloaded with goals, so I'll just play it by ear.
