That's lovely, blessed. You do those springing jumps so well.

My day has been so delayed because it was sabotaged in the night, when smoke detector started chirping - we were bewildered. We had just changed the battery, and it had stopped. After a long confusion, in which HRH was up on a chair over and over, we shut the bedroom door with me in and him out. Then we could hear that - at least this time - the chirping was coming from the one in the bedroom. He changed the battery for that one and it stopped. The question - was it always the bedroom detector, with the sound echoing around the hallway, or did both start chirping within days of each other?

But we were too tired to wonder then, and tried going back to sleep. I eventually made it, after a long while, but he never did. He's napping now.

Dmom seems to be doing well; I don’t plan to visit today or tomorrow.
Ds and ddil are going tomorrow— Dgd wants to see where her mommy works. I do need to go out to dmom’s and get some things for her.

Basketball is the main thing on my day — AU in the Final Four.

Hi! I'm having a busy day. All bedding needs to be done. The mattress cover and the bottom sheet have been done. I also did the load of tops that were all wrinkled that I was attempting to do last Monday. They haven't been put away yet. The bed has been remade. Now dh is trying to nap. The curling game is on TV. I have been spending a lot of time stitching this morning between laundry machines doing their thing.

I also had to mop the bedroom and living room. I asked dh to sweep the kitchen this morning. He did the part near the garbage can and he used the dry mop, not the broom. Oh, well, he gets an "A" for effort. He also "helps" make the bed.

I still have to take out garbage from bathroom and kitchen and do both litter boxes and the compost bin.

Blessed - thank you for getting PWYC started this morning. You are looking good with your pom pom's. How are you doing?

I'm enjoying a slow and steady start to my day. I've been able to focus on individual areas until completion.
** Personal AM care - shower, D2S, hair, teeth, face, stretch & strengthen exercises and walking outside.
** Kitchen doings and food prep
** Gardening = I am watching the weather. It is predicted to be 35F tonight and 32F tomorrow night with snow. The winds are currently 40mph which makes it difficult to implement protection to the plants. I am waiting for the winds to die down to 20ish mph this evening and then will start putting covers over the plants as best as I can.

DBro called for a long chat. He recently got so sick & weak he couldn't walk that resulted in an ambulance ride to ER. After going through multiple tests and scans they ruled out everything they could and declared it to be a virus. DBro also had his 7 year checkup with oncologist this week and he passed all their tests with flying colors. The cancer center told DBro to continue with yearly checkup until his 10th year of being in remission. Nice!

DS16 and Kayleigh volunteered to take Sam (Whippet) to get his yearly shots at a vet clinic about 30 miles away. Micro (4lb Yorkie) is old and feeble now and never has contact with other dogs or critters, so we are not getting her shots this year. It is a risk vs reward decision of what is best for him. The teens are stopping on the way back to buy Sam a new collar and leash.

I am back from my DGD Tea party…20 screaming girls running up and down the church room. They had tables set up to decorate their own notebooks with stickers …lemonade was served in tea cups and individual sandwiches were given to each one. The girls really didn’t care about all the fussiness, just wanted to eat cupcakes.

Of course I helped with everything but was glad to come home to a very quiet house. Think I’ll just sit here drinking my coffee and listening to the nothingish.

LadyM, I know your dbro and family were worried - how relieving to find out it was a virus. Great news about his continuing, long remission. Best wishes to you this evening with your plants.

Trying to have a productive day here. Not quite going like I had planned. Sort of I guess. Working on painting ds15 new bedroom. He's getting ds26 bigger room. Taken me all winter. Just 2 bedrooms to paint but mold and Christmas (new years dd came) and surgery and parent care... now I have an Easter deadline of dd and dsil and maybe fil coming again. I need the rooms usable and ds in his proper room.

I was going to start early with the primer. Took my time getting going. Then discovered I didn't have tray liners. Started playing with my colors and mixed a few again. Trying to use up stuff. Now I've got a navy and a grey/teal color. Denim colors almost?

I had to go to the store. Now it's almost 200. Primer is done. Around 3 ish I will go try and even out the primer with the rest of it as I'm covering red. Should have been long done. But at least I want to get the ceiling done today.

It's been a beautiful sunny day here, and I've spent as much time as I can, outside in my garden. I've rearranged the pots on the patio into their "summer mode". I'm really itching to get my summer bedding plants as the weather in is so beautiful, but I'm holding back for now, as the nights can be chilly still, and I'm not sure how long this beautiful weather will last. It's still only the first week of April! Although a frost is unlikely now, we could still get cold spells!

Lady M, I don't know if you can get horticultural fleece where you are, but that might be an easy and effective method of protecting your plants.
