What' are the tasks you've been putting off? Those that rear their ugly little faces when you walk by, and then your thinking "I meant to do that but...."
Today's the day to capture some of those pesky tasks. If big, at least get a start, if small, just knock them right off and be done!

Re: Anti Procrastination Wednesday PWYC
Good morning!
Today something special is happening. DH has driven by himself to town 7 miles away to do 2 errands. This is the furthest he has driven for many months. It has been 11 months and 3 days since DH first experienced TGA memory loss and his doings had to be curtailed to keep him safe. It has been 2 months and 5 days since his last memory loss episode. Three months ago, I changed his medication that AI said contradicted each other with memory loss being a side effect. Could this medication change stop the abrupt memory loss episodes? There is no denying that DH has memory loss and we see evidence of it every day. But I am hopeful that he has reached a stable place where he can go to local events and stores by himself. Yesterday he went to lumber yard a mile away and bought a door lock. He installed the door dead bolt and handle all by himself. These are things that he hasn't been able to do since May 20, 2024. It brings me great joy to see DH doing things and feeling accomplished. It is a balance to find the right circumstances and environment to keep him safe and turn him loose to experience normal doings.
Today DD13 takes the US naturalization test as part of the state testing in public school . I give it to DS16 every year as part of his homeschool. Here is a practice test if you want to test your knowledge of US government.
DS16 and GF are both sick. They have the same symptoms that DD13 had last week. Thankfully I am well stocked in OTC meds. Muscinex, Dayquil and Nightquil are favorites.

Re: Anti Procrastination Wednesday PWYC
So I think I'm working on HOA record keeping again today. I've done a terrible job the last year of keeping up with it and it shows - bill paid posted to the wrong accounts and we spent more money than we should have. (Of course, I've just paid the bills I've received but still!)
I have a Zoom at 12:30. Later today, around five p.m., friends are bringing us a load of firewood. Not sure who/how that is being unloaded and moved to back of yard but that's not my show, lol.
Now I'm on the phone with dd....

Re: Anti Procrastination Wednesday PWYC
I went through our shopping list and bought items that can be shipped to us. I compared prices on Ariver, local grocery store, sams and wMart. By comparing the price for exactly same item I saved about half what the items would cost if I just bought from one place. It feels like a game to me to compare and select the best price. It feels like winning to have the items arrive at my front door instead of having to go to the stores.
I am moving DS16 homeschool assignments from today to next Monday. I probably should go ahead and move tomorrows assignment to next Tuesday also. I expect he will be sick for at least 2 days.
I have a series of tasks that need me to sit at table and stay focused to accomplish them. Yuck. Sitting still is not my favorite thing to do. However, the sooner I get started the sooner I will be finished. *** Holding my nose in silent protest while jumping in to get these tasks accomplished ***

Afternoon CI
Completed 2 yarn projects today.
Swept up green maple seeds on the driveway.
Pulled 3-5 weeds.
Cleaned receipts out of my wallet.

Re: Anti Procrastination Wednesday PWYC
I procrastinated about even getting outfoxed bed today.
Just lay there, watched tv, scrolled on the phone.
Then just as I was getting ready to s2s, my daunt called.
Talked to her. No time to wash hair, but I made it to funeral visitation.

Re: Anti Procrastination Wednesday PWYC
Today dh arranged to borrow a riding mower from a neighbour to cut the grass. Seems it will be 3 weeks before our regular person can switch our snowblower attachment back to the lawn mower deck. Years ago dh used to be able to do this. This morning it took dh 2 hours to change a set of tires from winters to summers. There was a LOT of swearing and I could hear it in the house. The overhead door on the garage was open and I didn't have the stereo on in the house.
After dh changed the tires and then cut the grass, he invited me to join him at a fast food chain for lunch. After lunch dh slept on the couch and I went into the bedroom and finished my book and then I fell asleep.
Supper is on the stove. Even after having cheeseburgers for lunch dh still wanted Hamburger Helper "cheeseburger macaroni" for supper.

Re: Anti Procrastination Wednesday PWYC
I'm probably as done as I'm going to get for the HOA accounting stuff for now. I will have time to wrap it up once we're home after 4 May. The meeting which panicked me is on 12 May and he originally announced it as the annual meeting, but then corrected that it is a board and committee meeting. The HOA meeting is on 2 June. So I can relax about it for the vacation.
I am also turning over the issue of a possible (new? continuing?) leak at the HOA cabana/pool house to someone else.
Still waiting for the friends bringing firewood, then it has to moved to the back of the yard.
Dh and I are at odds with each other. The IRS didn't accept ds's credit card for payment of tax for some reason. I paid it with my card with assurance I'd be reimbursed, and had to remind dh of it. (Dh was transferring from ds's investment account to reimburse me.) I think he's in a mood about work also.
Anyway, still waiting... and I'm hungry....
