Dh is still in bed. He had a rough night. Blankets on the floor, blankets underneath him and telling me he was cold. I put another blanket on top of him. Young cat came into bedroom crying to be let outside. I asked him to let her out. He laid there and said "Come on Baby, outside." and went back to sleep. I got up and let her out and I've been awake ever since. I think part of the reason for the rough night was that he didn't do anything yesterday other than play on his computer or his phone.

Thinking I might be busy in the kitchen today. I want more potato salad. On the other hand, I did so much yesterday and I want a lazy day today.

It's raining here again.

PWYC ~ May the fourth be with you!

Post by Nancy »

With in your heart
keep one still secret spot
where dreams may go.

Louise Driscol

This poem was on a framed piece of art
it had a pic of an English cottage with roses all around
above it. Below the poem is a pic. of a table with table
cloth and bouquet of roses and flowers from the cottage garden.

I put it in the living room where I can see it from my fav. spot.
It gives me great peace to see it!

Something new is blooming I sneezed a lot this morning! Ack!
Sinus issues as well feeling a bit rough this morning.

I put on some costume jewelry just for fun.
Cloudy & cool here today we got rain yesterday.
I have meal plans for today.

Good Morning

Cathy - thank you for the start today.

I am noticing a difference in my mornings when I do bedtime routine the night before. The improvement is worth the battle of establishing a better bedtime routine habit.

We aren't attending church this morning. DH was sleeping so well that I didn't want to wake him. We will attend evening church services tonight.

The weather is absolutely perfect. No wind. Warm enough to not need a jacket. Bright sunshine. I have been outside several times to the garden and do a morning walk. Happening in the garden = Fish are fed, strawberries in progress of being harvested, and free-standing frame moved where I am focusing on grass improvement.

Wanted to say a thanks to LucyL. the mention of that journal had me enjoying a search on it and
some others got good info. and journaling fodder for some topics that helped!
Made up a list of things that helped me & shared it with a widows group.

Tummy issues and changing plans for my day.

Putting on costume jewelry made today more fun!

I haven't stopped all day. Maybe it just feels like I haven't stopped. Everything on the bed needed to be washed. So far the bottom layers have been done. I also opened a window in there and sprayed the entire mattress with febreeze. I also swept and mopped the floor. Since I had the mop out, I also did the hallway again and I did the library. It's got a real wooden floor and when it's wet, it's gorgeous. The floor in the bedroom looks like wood, but I discovered it's a very cheap floor. I think the top layer is paper. The previous owner put it down.

I also made a potato and egg salad. Not as big as the one I made last week.

The kitchen is a mess and I need to get that darn island cleared off and deep cleaned.

Yet another overcast day. Dh went to cut the grass but it started to rain. Next door neighbour did his this morning. It looks so much nicer when both are done on the same day.

We are home! Got in about 30 min ago - car is unloaded, dog walked around the circle. I can't wait to get back to "normal."
