Fruity Hat Friday Conga PWYC
Get out that hat with all the fruit and get ready to conga, baby! There's always lots to do to wrap up the week, in the house, yard, or out and about. The music is starting and the line is forming up....

Re: Fruity Hat Friday Conga PWYC
Happy, happy birthday to LadyM's dd.... .. fourteen? fourteen? WHEN did that happen?
Thank you for donating blood, Costumelady.
Good morning, Twins'. I hope to have a little morning Conga time before dd26 arrives at noon.
The master bath needs a lady in a fruity hat to give it some acknowledgement.
I'm hoping your household's transition to Twins' Dad's retirement is all positive if not downright pleasant. Please tell him best wishes.
I've already been on the phone a half-hour with dd26. You would think we weren't going to be in a car together for over an hour today, at least. I think we could count on enough time to talk. There is a lot to decompress/download to each other, though, and she is wildly busy most days.
Lest I make my fruity-hat plans sound too much like a pat on my own back, there's a ta-da here of HRH doing two and a half loads of laundry while I was out yesterday. It's all neatly folded on the coffee table for anyone who visits to see. How can you get any home-ier than that?

Re: Fruity Hat Friday Conga PWYC
Thank you for a fabulous start to our Friday Twins' Mom!!
Hi Harriet. Coming home to freshly folded laundry would be wonderful.
I woke up to the usual suspect cat screaming to be let outside. To my surprise all 3 went out with no prompting. Usually the other 2 need to be convinced that they should be out in the fresh air. One of the cats is still out. One has been in and has gone back out. Both litter boxes got cleaned this morning. To be honest that was the only thing written on my notes for today.

Re: Fruity Hat Friday Conga PWYC
Morning y’all!
Already been to my class. I’ve missed it for the last couple of days because of all the construction going on. Now I’m getting ready to go to my coffee gathering because I need some time out.
Yesterday sweetie, and I went to pick out tile for the kitchen. As excited as I am to have a new kitchen, it is overwhelming for me to pick out everything grout other pieces that are needed as well as the tile. I loved what I saw and the display and hope it looks as good on my wall we shall see.
My kitchen has now been reclaimed in that all the mold is gone. New insulation has been put up and today they will do all of the sheet rock work. My house looks like a ghost because everything is covered with sheets and plastic.
Harriet continued well wishes on your travels. Glad you have family around to help you through this.
Lady, M.. so excited for your dear daughter 14 is a great year. Is she looking forward to going to high school?
Twins hope you have good weather so you can finish up your planting. I know what it’s like because my yard has been turned up with all this construction and I don’t know when I’ll be able to get back to it.
Off to start my day. Hope to get back later. Waiting to y’all.

Re: Fruity Hat Friday Conga PWYC
Morning all. Haha I love the conga line. I want to enjoy my longer late shift morning. Phew. Work is busy. All the gardening. That is why Work is busy. The entire town shops garden and summer projects from us. Then I did 2 garden patches this year.
Maybe I can do a few things to my the house look better? Or maybe I will actually put my flowers in the ground bed?
That was quick getting all the mold gone rose. Wonderful news. It will be a whirlwind but the new kitchen will be worth it.
Those kids grow too fast. Happy birthday to dd14 now. Reminds me I need a driver booklet for ds. 16 is coming in November.
That's a bonus of summer. Our too many cats spend a lot of time outside.
Harriet I hope and pray you can start getting your strength back soon. I don't know the details of your health struggles but sounds like a very long road.

Re: Fruity Hat Friday Conga PWYC
Haircut for me at 11, after that a trip to post office, wash the car perhaps and gas up the car. I don't know of other errands I need to do today.
Raining again, hoping it's through the area by the time I want to wash the car.
Dh is working today, lol. I'm watching this transition with interest. When I retired I was so happy to not be working, but it's going to be hard for him to stop going there.
I need to walk the ddog and have my breakfast/brunch in the next hour, before I leave for haircut.
No surprise that I didn't get this posted earlier. I'm eating brunch now. The house feels so humid my glasses are fogging up after cooking an omelet. Closed up the door to the screened porch and I've bumped the A/C down a little to take some moisture out of the house.

Lauralind, I don't know if you can see the members only Joys and Concerns from November? Harriet posted details of her diagnosis and treatment there on 25 November. Let me know if you can't get back there and I'll pm you some info. It's been a long six months so far but we're all praying for Harriet.
Can't believe dd13 is turning 14 LadyM!
So glad to see a report from bw2, and that her mom has been lucid.
Oh, RR, I so hope you've seen the last of the mold. Don't you keep wanting them to open things up to check for it? The decision making for a new kitchen is a lot at one time - decision fatigue sets in and you almost get to the point you don't care, you just want it finished. It sounds like your crew is moving right along, though.
LOL on the kitties, Cathy. DMillie stays in bed now when I get up but I remember days with a ddog who was up at 5:30 wanting his breakfast daily. Hope they enjoy their outdoor time and stay safe.

Re: Fruity Hat Friday Conga PWYC
Hey, all!
My conga this morning is accompanied by the Lost 80s channel on the TV (audio only, no video, sadly, but video might be too distracting).
Contractors can't make it today. I'd say I got up early for nothing, but I have gotten all my payroll done for today already.
Twins, is your DH retiring now, at the end of the month? It sounds like it's imminent, at any rate.
Agreeing with those who are astounded that LadyM's DD is turning 14 already! Happy birthday to her!
Rose, when you say all the mold is gone, does that mean the upper cabinets were OK?
Glad things are a little better with your DM, blessed.
Did get a couple of loads of laundry done yesterday and will do more today -- the summit of Mt. Washmore is visible! I also need to clean the area around my chair. I've got paperwork from about fifty different things stacked up (and regularly cascading to the floor). That's enough that I should have my day cut out for me.
Happy dancing through your day!
