Re: Tuesday Back in the Groove PWYC
Good morning, Twins' and Lauralind.
When I awakened I felt very much back in the groove, believing that it was about 8 hours since I went to sleep. But the smart-ish watch app now says more like 6 hours and 5 minutes, so I can't understand that opinion. Says I only got about an hour each of deep and REM sleep. Hmmm ... ..
Oh well, I had felt rested so I got up and started the day. Schedule seems sensible, anyway. I had not needed another pain pill through the night. Feeling it now a little, but I'm going to assume I'll be able to have a normal day.
Listening out for HRH to decide about an errand day trip. Weather doesn't look so bad today.
lucylee, hoping you hear from ds' test soon. That cost on the work sounds much better, although you yourself did put in a day on it, didn't you?
Dd and dsonil's tales of trip to Smithsonian is a big hit with the grands, who want to know all about each one's fav exhibits, etc.

Re: Tuesday Back in the Groove PWYC
back in the groove - I love that!
brother is with mom right now. The hospital hadn't taken her off the procedure and my brother made sure that the records show it.
I am enjoying not having people in the home.
dd younger has a birthday today. Can't believe it.
today:
it is raining (temporary type rain)
weed and water is my goal
cards to be pulled
look at the weather
go to mom's in the afternoon or at 6 - depending on dd
dd's are going out to dinner with cousins for dd's birthday
dd younger is thrilled that the piano is tuned for her birthday. Glad he could come

Re: Tuesday Back in the Groove PWYC
Oh Harriet, I love the Smithsonian! What fun to tell of favs! I've always loved the First Ladies exhibits of clothing styles.
I have been working, started a load of laundry to hang, cleared kitchen counters and table and making a list. So many different directions right now, and a short week to boot. Also working on an instacart order.
Dh had a tooth start hurting the day before we left town - he was able to see the dentist for our friends while there and got antibiotics, but has an appointment this afternoon for an extraction. I forgot that he's still expecting to bowl tonight and planned for grilled chicken - that will be good for me at least.
I went through and checked bank and credit card accounts for all five accounts, I do that once a week.
I'm going to at least change out of pajamas and make my brunch now. I'll wrap up the instacart order also.
Happy Birthday to dd, bw2!
And glad that dlady"s dd has some diagnosis and testing underway. The more you know the the better...

Re: Tuesday Back in the Groove PWYC
Good morning!
Blessed - Happy Birthing Day and Happy Birthday to your DD.
DS17 doesn't have work today because of the rain. Without that motivation he is in slow gear getting his homeschool assignments accomplished. Parkinson law is happening... “work expands so as to fill the time available for its completion" Instead of getting busy and getting his assignments done so he can leave for work, he is in relaxed mode.
It's Taco Tuesday... or a variation of Mexican-inspired dishes on the menu today. I've picked out some ingredients from the pantry and have meat thawing. I'll figure out what dishes to create with everything later. Tacos....tostadas....cheese dip....picante sauce.....pica de gallo, burritoes...refried beans....mexican rice....are all a possibility
I am mentally processing information received yesterday about DD14. She is an amazing person that has a lot to deal with. I am SO THANKFUL for our long-time trusted counselor to help guide us.
This morning, I signed seven sets of syllabi and rules paperwork before taking DD14 to school. The teachers are being extremely thorough, covering every possible scenario. Each teacher provided about three pages, front and back, packed with data, rules, requirements, guidelines, consequences, and more. We weren’t allowed to keep the 20+ pages of information; instead, we had to simply sign and date them to confirm they were read, then return them to the teachers.

said I. Well, I am unreliable.
We have rain just like LadyM and blessed, and at the time HRH had wanted to leave, a downpour for the next hour. (I'd heard it was just going to piddle.) HRH was undeterred, but I wouldn't go out. I told him, "I'm not running THAT fast."
Actually, I believe the east coast/Atlantic has the first hurricane of the season today. So here comes the serious stuff.
It's Monday that we are on the schedule for the fellow who will start our chimney work. Wish this rough rain/wind could have waited (sigh), and also hope Monday is clear.
Happy Birthday to blessed's dd!
Hopeful for Twins' Dad as he has this tooth extraction.
Had tofu scramble for brunch. Used up the last of shitake and tofu, so can't have that again until grocery shopping gets done.
errands - check
Desk Day finish - do I gotta?
bathroom finish - up next
adding extra laundry - soon

Re: Tuesday Back in the Groove PWYC
Good morning, everybody!
I am done with payroll for the day, though I have left the work computer on in case anyone tries to contact me. When I am done here, if DC has not shown their face, I will go boot them out of their room. When last I checked on them, they were awake but in no hurry to get up and about. Theoretically, I have a standing appointment with both kids at 11:30 to work on the old playroom, then appointments with each later in the day. DD's is to give her help excavating her room; DC's should be the same, but getting them through the computer driving course takes precedence. Last I checked, they were close to being done. I hope they get done soon, because they cannot book any road lessons until they have done the computer work, and there seems to be a shortage of driving instructors in the area -- things book up well in advance. So we have no hope of DC being able to drive themself to school by the beginning of the semester. Anyhow, when we are late for the playroom, it pushes everything else back, so we don't always get everything done.
I am glad your DD is on the road to getting answers and that you have good people to help, LadyM. The school giving you huge packets to sign without getting your own copies sounds annoying to say the least. Sure, you've read everything before you signed it, but how are you (or more importantly, she) supposed to be able to retain that much information without anything to refer to?
Happy birthday to your DD younger, blessed!
I am trying to remember back to my tooth extraction a few months ago, Twins, but I don't know whether or not I would have been up to bowling the same night.
DC has, in fact, shown their face, so I will go and work on the playroom. I hope everybody has a groovy day!
P.S. Harriet -- you got this! *\o/* That desk doesn't know what it's in for!

Re: Tuesday Back in the Groove PWYC
Showered and cleaned up. Dh left suitcase on bed and the dog is also there so I've deferred bed making. Bathroom stuff is put away and I've s2s-ed. Wouldn't say I'm in the groove but I'm at least moving.
I'm moving upstairs.
We're having a downpour right now too. Is it raining everywhere, lol?
