What is something that you have put off for a really long time? What is something you keep telling yourself you'll get to? Is there anything "Rare" or special that you need to do or that you don't really want to do? What about those "once in a blue moon" things? This morning there was a "black" moon that comes around every 33 months, which is even more rare than a blue moon which happens every 13 months (depends on the cycle of the moon)
So do something rare, unique, special or unusual today if you can think of it.

Re: Special Saturday PWYC
I know I keep saying this, but I really will work on some paperwork today. I moved a bunch of stuff around the house last night before I went to bed. I put the ironing board up in the library. Then I covered it in stuff that was blocking the lowest row of book shelves in the P-Z section of the fiction books. I have 4 piles of books to put on to the shelves and I needed access to those shelves. Then I put all the piles of new-to-me books on that shelf. Then I moved the piles of paperwork that were on the island for at least a couple of weeks to where the books were in the pantry.
Basically a lot of piles got shifted but nothing really changed much. I need to get rid of paperwork because there is too much old paperwork that is truly no longer needed that can get shredded or burned. Who really needs insurance information from more than 10 years ago from a home I no longer live in? This is house insurance, or insurance for vehicles that are long gone. I also don't need monthly bank statements from a bank account that has been closed for many years.
Special jobs for a rare day. What haven't you tossed/donated/moved out of your home in more than 33 months that can get out the door today? I also have numerous books that I know I will never read again that I will be putting into my car to get donated. I'm never going to read the entire "Game of Thrones" series again. That will free up around 12 inches of book shelf space. My goal for the day is to do stuff that isn't on the computer.

Re: Special Saturday PWYC
hi d cathy - thank you so much for starting us!
cheering you on as you work on paperwork! you will get it done!
for me: The garden has been the worse. The heat was overwhelming but we finally have a break.
mom health: she declines, gets bit better, gets good, declines badly and so on. This week we only had one day of really good.
I hope everyone has a special and focused Saturday!

Re: Special Saturday PWYC
challenge today: telling my brother that I don't want to have his girlfriends name and telling me what they are doing on their dates. It makes me uncomfortable. I think she and her friends/family are using him.- she never wants to be alone with him. (other people have told him so I don't need to).
I can start getting mom up - helper is here from 8:30 to 12:30.
on Sunday: I hired the young man for helping with the garden. He wrote me yesterday to see if I could use him.
I will have to find someone for August next year for weekly work. it's too hot for me. I am sure with mom being sick has taken my focus off the garden .
8:30 help helper get mom up.
play with dogs.
pull cards

Re: Special Saturday PWYC
I wasn't sleeping well and realized it was 5 something, so pretended it was 6 and got up. I knew this would happen after the nap yesterday, but the nap had to happen because of such a long day away and reaction.
I've used the hand-held battery scrubber on the second side of the sink with "Soft Scrub", so they are both done. Looks spiffy. General cleaning of the kitchen done.
I decided to start today with a skillet breakfast since maybe fruit wasn't the right way to go. Tummy/digestive yesterday was a little off. That's all enjoyed and cleaned up, too.
It was good to have time with dd27 yesterday but too much going on to really talk enough. I had quite the reaction, more than expected, and didn't feel well on the way home, so we didn't chat then. She was awfully late then and needing to choose between some catch-up for work and a date night with dsonil at the drive-in movie place. So we basically heard some problems from each other but never had time to give much advice or help.
HRH's appts turned up nothing new. He ordered groceries when he got home, oddly. So my phone was pinging the whole time we were with the doctor.
Have been making out a short list of to-dos through the morning. Mostly things we need, but some declutter.
Burgers planned for supper.

Re: Special Saturday PWYC
This morning I have painted the second coat of anti condensation paint on the ceiling of our tiny bathroom. I did the first coat yesterday, after much procrastinating, as DH is away for the the W/E. My intention is to wipe down the walls, wash the skirting and door frames and call them Good Enough. If I also wash the curtains and clean/declutter the cabinet , spray bleach on the tiles and descale the shower head , then I can call it deep cleaning, and tick that room off the list.
ATM I have Freddie on my lap, so I won't be going anywhere for a while!

Wow!! By removing 3 authors, I have gained 36 inches of shelf space! It's a start. because I know there will be some shuffling to make the homeless books fit where I need them to. All GOT and Twilight books are now gone, along with Sidney Sheldon books. All of these will be going to the local senior's center on Monday afternoon.

Re: Special Saturday PWYC
Hi all. I haven't been on this chat for a bit. I read but haven't said much for a bit. I really like your topics. There are a lot of little projects I have put off. Some I keep meaning to do and never get there.
The craft room is one. I need to at least get in there and get rid of some easy stuff. It isn't as bad as you'd think. A box for my new instant pot can go now. Straighten the desk top. Maybe I should move all of the boxes of ds 26 stuff to dd room which is good. Neatly stacked in there would make it so I can actually work in the craft room.
And it would take 15 minutes to put up the curtains I ordered for ds 15 room.
Blessed that would be so hard the variations in mom's health. You are doing so well. Yes the garden is going to struggle a bit.
Harriet I hope today is going to be better than yesterday.
Books? I need to declutter that big bookshelf too.
Today is mostly going to be outside though I think. Dh has means to finish the landscaping on the well side and then we can seed it. Really should go round up the thistle there and maybe I can drive the zero turn and mow while he uses the tractor to move a bit more soil from the back section to finish.
Too many things to do but should be productive. I hope.
