I know that my dh will be watching some football. He is a Bill's fan.

I have a few things on my mind, including picking some more blackberries. It's a bit breezy right now, but the sky is blue with beautiful puffy white clouds. A good day to be outside enjoying summer.

Hoping the Mystery household gets over the cold virus quickly, and Mystery feels better. Also hoping those points can be redeemed.

lucylee, you have gotten so much done. About the meal - these are folks who will be living near (yes?), and so I can see that they want to keep up acquaintance with your dmother (and you). A compliment, and old-school social pleasantries. Teams - never had a grand wanting to play football, but about baseball, ds says that our green-eyed boy has realized that when he just wants to enjoy it, he has to get a whole lot of friends who want to play at the same time. Golf (if you can afford it, and of course in school years you can) can be just a few friends, and it will be that way his whole life. Sadly, the course my late dh (his grandfather) used to play with HRH sometimes was $10 for what now costs his ddad $40. That will open your eyes, too. (gasp)

No, it's not computer files for me - this is a physical disorganization I'm fighting, lol. My desk is made like two small metal filing cabinets on either side with a drawer in between. Also desk surface is a sea of potential disorganization. Medical, for instance, was found that needed to go to HRH's office.

But a lot of the things I worked on in there yesterday are part of the sewing use of the room. There are files of patterns, templates, vintage things, etc., and some not exactly "filed" but organized among the project boxes or other drawers.

It is Grandparents' Day, according to a calendar here. That is a holiday our family never does much about. Maybe I should call dd27 and mention, in case it would give a good excuse to call dmil and check on her.

DgsonC was to walk to his volunteer job today, but I texted to offer a ride (by HRH). It is not raining now but has been super wet and might drizzle. He hitched a ride with WonderBoy already for half the way, so they had it covered. The rest of the way is all countryside.

Deciding whether to ride with HRH out this morning on errands he has thought of - he will also try the drive-through at the pharmacy to see if the scripts are ready. By phone, we can only learn about one of them. Sigh. Their phone thingie is so messed up now that they tried to "improve" it.

Good morning

Sleeping in this morning was such a nice surprise when I woke up and realized it.

I'm two hours into my day and making solid progress on my dailies. I'm working on adjusting my digital SHE cards to include habit stacking and location-based groups. Grouping tasks together helps calm my mind because the decisions are already made, so I don't have to keep rethinking them. IYKWIM.

I was up at 4:30 again today.
It was a good day to journal plan and then I walked and had some food.

Dh asked if I could make his pillows less stinky. I looked on line and ended up spraying all of them with Febreeze (unscented) and then a spritz of lavender. I've also done all the bed sheets and 2 blankets.

I've been outside numerous times today as well.

Cathy, also try sunning his pillows to air them out. And I've read that they can be washed, also I don't do that. Thanks for the start this a.m.! ihad to look, the equinox this time is on Sept 23, the eve of Rosh Hashana. I'll be counting down to entertaining on RH.

Waving from the beach. Looks like we may not be doing much today, which is okay. Dh is watching TV, I slept late and am still in pajamas. Our friends will be here tonight late, hopefully by 10 or 11 p.m. I made us a dinner reservation out for tonight. Ah, I think we're going for a walk on the beach soon?

Up so early, Nancy! I enjoyed sleeping in with LadyM this morning. Honestly, it was nearly 10:30 when I got up.

Harriet, I've been working on physical organization in my stamping/genealogy room for months you know. I'm pleased I'm letting go of things, although selling them hasn't gone as well as it could. I want the space to be calmer and feel more joyful and restful as a refuge for me, from downstairs and TV. I'm surprised the pharmacy doesn't have a system to check to see if it's ready. For CVS, I can check online to see if it's "in process" or "ready for pickup." I also usually receive a text.

Also hoping the Mystery household shakes the cold - been sneezing here but thinking it's allergies. No other symptoms.

ds called as soon as I'd posted before. He was about to head out to church with family and had a few minutes while waiting on them. He was a groomsman at a wedding yesterday and sent us a photo of he and ddil looking formal.

Finally Errand Day - Trip out was successful. Even though you would never know it by trying to find out before going, both scripts were there and waiting. And none too cheap, either. Sigh. Went into a store, seeing no one I knew, which is my main criteria for successful as well, lol. Of course, HRH chats to the checkout guy as if they are long lost pals. One more errand and home. No rain to speak of, good parking space.

Dd27 called later. Wants me to read a book she's found.

Twins', that's definitely the dream for me, too.

blessed, yes meant to agree with you that even HRH likes Sister Boniface mysteries. He talks to the tv, "helping" Sister with the clues. We have watched the first episode of the relatively new show, Ludwig, and found we're too interested to stop. David Mitchell is so good at playing an anxious character, so relatable. It's satisfying to notice that no one has respect for him but then he saves the day. We've always liked him in game or celebrity comedy shows and didn't really know he was such a good actor.
