Hi Twins' Mom! Welcome home! Thank you for today's wonderful start and the reminder of just how sweet it is to be home!

Today I have a few loads of laundry. I already have the first load from the bed going.

All the cats are outside so it's a good time to vacuum. I won't be interrupting any football games if I do that as soon as I hit submit for this post.

Home yea!
Ahead of 80% chance of rain today:
I have raked the drive way on the other side.
Put away some deck and patio wooden items in the small & bigger shed.
It's a relief to have those things accomplished.
Getting a.m. step quota in while I did that double bonus! Yea!

Was up at 5 slept okay except woke with sinus issues that cleared up
after I was upright! Had some coffee. Did some journaling and planning.

Made myself an egg had some juice.
Thinking about a rain walk but it's not started yet...
Walk is done now.

I've been moving about getting things underway. I have a load of laundry going, one kitchen counter is cleared and wiped down, a lot unpacked and put away, some of plants watered. Snarky but put away the stuff dh didn't know what to do with yesterday, and moved some of the things he did put away to their "home sweet home" lol. He's watching HGTV nonstop but I bet football is on the agenda today. (Ah, now Face the Nation.)

I got out the dividers for my planner for Oct/Nov/Dec and inserted and took out August to file. I need a big 'ole planning session to look ahead. It's time to hang up the load of laundry from the washer and sort and start again. Dcleaning lady will be here on Thursday - I asked her to skip last week while we were away, and she'll come this week and then next week, which will be after having a houseful of people for Rosh Hashanah.

I'm moving on forward - I'd like to walk the dog again (dh walked her already) and get ready for the week and rest of the month.

Yes! I used to have a weekly routine of taking my things to a coffee shop or a quiet spot away from home. I looked for a place where I wouldn't have constant interactions with others. I miss the results that came from that intentional planning time.
I could do something similar by going into a spare room and shutting the door. But I would still be constantly monitoring the household noises. I don't feel comfortable leaving DH for a couple hours. Maybe I could take him with me and he could read while I plan. It isn't the same as being alone but it is better than not taking the time to plan.
hum.....

DD14 is in a baking mood today, growing more confident with each session in the kitchen. Seeing her smile with genuine excitement and happiness brings me joy.

hello - it's been quiet this weekend here. hope everyone enjoys the last couple weeks of summer!

dd younger is still in pain but it is a bit better today - night time - phew. it takes her breath away. Mom after we have a specific caretaker always goes down hill - she gets frustrated and is very set on what she wants to do. mom needs more than doing a puzzle - or be in bed. Every time we have her mom always does worse. There isn't any spark - she talks to her as a dementia patient instead of a person.
We have tried talking to her to follow a better routine - and she doesn't.
the other helpers have a wider idea of what is possible and take her outside twice a day. even on our block. I think I am going to hire a car for me to take her out but after dd younger is able to be alone again.

I am hopeful for this week now that dd younger is home - praying mom gets better again so we can have a routine.
it is always a joy to be here with you!

Waving to bw2 who has a lot going on. ((big hugs))

Cathy, read about your mop cleaning lady night, ugh. You're right to clean it up well, if it still stinks buy yourself another. I've noticed my dh "dripping" a little the toilet and I need to be most fastidious in swishing and swiping bathrooms.

LadyM, I usually plan on Sunday a.m. while dh watches tv. At least I don't have a lot of interruptions other than the background noise.

I walked the ddog (dh had walked her but I wanted some steps and she doesn't consider herself taken care of unless I also walk her.) Sounds like something might be amiss at pool. Dh and I walked back up there with the key to check - the pump is running very loudly. I'm going to give it a couple of hours and go again to check. No visible leaks at least although we didn't check the water meter to see if it was running.

Need to reboot laundry. I took out chicken breasts to thaw for us tonight. I think we have enough decent lettuce for a salad. Need groceries, I'll do an Instacart tomorrow if dh will allow.

I'm having trouble getting started. Need to set timer at BOTH and work to :15 after. I might allow myself to go upstairs if I get enough done!

Sigh... things are getting done. Laundry is slowly getting done.

Dishes are screaming for attention.

Dh wants home made Chinese food tonight. That involves prepping all the veggies ahead of time. I will only be adding carrot, peppers and onion.

I guess it's a slow news day. FBook is very repetitive today, so I closed it down and sat here reading.
