Sophie Marceau (French: [sɔfi maʁso]; born Sophie Danièle Sylvie Maupu, 17 November 1966) is a French actress. As a teenager, she achieved popularity with her debut films La Boum (1980) and La Boum 2 (1982), receiving a César Award for Most Promising Actress. She became a film star in Europe with a string of successful films, including L'Étudiante (1988), Pacific Palisades (1990), Fanfan (1993) and Revenge of the Musketeers (1994). She became an international film star with her performances in Braveheart (1995), Firelight (1997), Anna Karenina (1997)[1] and as Elektra King in the 19th James Bond film The World Is Not Enough (1999). Some of her later films tackle critical social issues such as Arrêtez-moi (2013), Jailbirds (2015) and Everything Went Fine (2021).

Marceau has appeared on more than 300 magazine covers worldwide and been the face of numerous luxury brands. She was made Officer (Officier) in the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the Minister of Culture of France in 2003, and in 2015 it was revealed that she had refused the Legion of Honour (Ordre national de la Légion d'honneur).

Good morning, Trissie, and thank you for starting us off.

This week is going to be busy with lots of appointments. I should already be up at at 'em, but instead I'm quietly sipping my tea in bed with Freddie in attendance. (The Girls have bounced off somewhere to discover mischief! ).

This morning I am meeting DF PL for coffee at the community shop, to discuss C's (her Mum) care while she is away. If it stays dry I would also like to do something in my garden, and I need to give upstairs on its weekly clean. DH goes to the office today, so I should have some uninterrupted blocks of time . I also need to email D about parish Christmas lunch today, and order my meds. I think those are both top priority tasks. Fortunately, I can walk to the community shop and back, so I'll get a walk in without any extra effort!

I'm up late and feel like I slept well last night for 9 hours. And my weight is trending up again after trending down last week, so I feel like I'm recovering physically from the stress.

I have a pretty normal week. No Tuesday dinner. No extra meetings - one extra phone call for work, but it will be short. No visiting my mom - sad. I will use the extra time, I'm sure, to coordinate a short service for her in Illinois, to start clearing out her room at the NH, and do other things related to her passing. And then GGT at payroll is usually done by the end of this week.

I’m up. I feel like I had weird dreams but can’t remember them so just feel a little off. I’ve read Colossians 2 for the 3rd time in a row, there must be something in it I need to see, since I usually read and move on. It’s not planned. I read it today and went to put it in my notes and saw I had read it Saturday and Sunday. Maybe it will stick this time.

Nothing but chores and decluttering planned today. I really wanted to get the yard mowed but the belt is stretched out so dh had to get a new one. The grass isn’t too horrible but it’s tall enough to tickle my legs when I walk in it which means critters will start showing up if I don’t get it done. Maybe dh can get a belt tonight and I can mow tomorrow. No biggie.

First up for me is spot clean floors and eat breakfast.
