Satisfying Sunday PWYC
Good day! I hope it's a satisfying day - whatever it is that fills you up - it's a good day to top it off that gauge. Is it reading, cleaning (or having a clean house?), crafting, gardening, being with friends and family....whatever it is, it's a good day to get our fill. Start the week with a feel-good day!

hope you d twins and everyone have a satisfying Sunday.
I can't keep up on the house but when at the hospital I am figuring out Christmas by putting things on 3 x 5 cards.

Re: Satisfying Sunday PWYC
CI / was on the deck under the stars 2 hrs. lovely crickets & saw two shooting stars.
Did not sleep it was too hard. Brought in the bedding so glad as it had rained when I work up.
I learned a lot would be nice or a self supporting hammock or piece of carpet,
I do have a q. size blow up mattress but no blow up part think that's been de-cluttered not sure. LOL!
So glad I have no roof on my deck so I can see the starts! With no moon the stars were way more visible.
the neighbors back porch & other neighbors yard lite did not bother me as much as I thought it would.
ddoggo did great!
Saw the sunrise under the cloudy a cloudy day here.
Glad for the lite rain for the grass.
I watered under the tree.
Frogged out some knitting & re-knit a couple of rows.
Hoed a few weeds & transplanted another hollyhock for future blooms in the bed today.
Moved the table over, looked up zero g. reclining chairs & cots for idea on future deck sleeping under the stars!
Had food for bfast & got lunch cooking in the oven now change of menu as it's raining outside off and on
a wonderful gentle rain, had prayer time & did some journaling & planning.
Waving!

Re: Satisfying Sunday PWYC
I am trying! keep on trying
listening to Garden answer recap Sunday
had breakfast -
next: meds
s2s
listening to fall music
and later will listen to a book
start again.
--------------------------------------------
dd older went to the hospital but wants to leave before my brother drives back - he was horrible to her yesterday and all we want is calm in mom's room. he thinks mom doesn't understand anything even if she answers everyone and tells us what she wants.
I will go with dd younger - She won't engage and it drives brother - she stays happy and calm for mom - he usually leaves the room anyway and stays in the hall talking on the phone to his girlfriend or does work.

Thinking of you in the hospital, blessed. I'm impressed you're making progress on Christmas!
So nice you got to see the stars, nancy!
Thanks for the start, Twins. I hope you have a satisfying day.
Today will be a little of everything. I hope to get in a short jog this afternoon. We're visiting M's church this afternoon because our ex-pastor is a guest preacher there today. I hope to get a few groceries, get my mom's stuff out of the car and situated in our house, start washing it, work on payroll - annual observation is tomorrow, and start working on the slide show for the funeral. Tonight, dd29 is making ribs for us, so we'll eat at the girls' place. Family zoom call at 8:15-ish (with ds + F). That's likely more than I can accomplish in 1 day. . . LOL! So typical for me.

it's been a nice morning so far... mom has been conversing with us - she ate ice cream, cream of wheat with apple sauce, ensure and water.
it's been nice bc mom answered the nurse, the helper, dd s -

Re: Satisfying Sunday PWYC
Good afternoon! I had an early morning but did not get a jumpstart on the day. Our church picnic is today, so the 11:00 Mass, which we usually attend, was at the picnic. I am not a picnic person -- even when I was active, a day in the sun did not count as a fun time for me. So I assumed that DH and I would be attending the 8:30 -- but he has Open House at school today, so he was going to Mass they were having for the faculty before it starts. So I ended up going to the 8:30 by myself. Anyhow, I came back, had some breakfast, and then dozed off in the chair. (Although, to be fair, I did promise myself when I got up early that I could doze later.)
Anyhow, I've finally woken up, had some popcorn, come here, and CUOPed.
How are you doing, Twins? You look quite busy from a quick CUOP.
(((blessed))), I hope your situation around your mom becomes more peaceful -- not just for her peace but for yours as well. I'm glad things are better with your husband. Is DD younger feeling better?
Nancy, your evening on the deck sounds heavenly. I wish I could reach through the computer -- in cleaning out the playroom, we dug up two mattress inflators.
I haven't had a chance to offer my condolences yet, (((helia))). I hope making the slide show brings back good memories. We had a regular Sunday video chat with DH's family for a few years; it was really nice to keep up with each other -- enjoy!
Watching my Guards play. We've been fighting for the last wild card spot in the American League, and now, with Detroit on a losing streak and the Guardians on a winning streak (including the Guards sweeping a series against the Tigers), we're in sight of the division lead (after having been 15.5 games back at one point). (And some of you are saying, "Go, sports ball," I presume.)
I should work on dishes between innings -- that might even happen.
Have a good day, everybody!

Re: Satisfying Sunday PWYC
Satisfying to me that I'm getting a lot done but not wearing myself out this year. I have the bread maker going but it's the first time using the new one - the kneading blade in the old one wouldn't stay in place so it was worrisome. Glad I'm doing a loaf today and not waiting until tomorrow - I guess I could find one or ask someone to make some if I had to.
Dh has gone to hang out with our friends at the river. Nice to have the quiet house and him not questioning what I do, lol. I've figured out that he really has no idea about some things we do here.
Right now I'm waiting around to be sure the challah is going to rise okay. Another reason to do this in advance, in case the yeast has gone bad.
...and challah is braided and rising again. After it's baked, I'll be making the dessert for temple tomorrow, for the reception tomorrow night. I can delegate the trip to temple to dh, I hope.
Mystery, did you miss the picnic "
accidentally?"
So sorry bw2 for your troubles with dbrother. I'm wishing we could reach through the screen and give you a big hug. What a time you're having. Not engaging with dbro is a valid way of coping. Kudos for dds for being so involved.
Helia, if you come through, thanks for checking in with us. I saw your dmom's obit online, sounds like she was a learned and well respected lady. Perhaps the slide show will provide some comfort to you. For my dmom's obit, I used a photo from our wedding - almost 40 years ago now - and a photo that was may be from mother's twenties?
Nancy, I guess you don't have mosquitoes still? When you stay out awhile I think you adjust to the dark and can see more stars. We have a lot of light pollution, but I do like to lie on one of our benches looking up at the stars when we are using the firepit. Eventually I see them.
I'm satisfied with my day so far.
