Re: What will you tackle today?
I woke up far too early. I actually have the alarm set for 7:30 because dh has a 9 o'clock appointment with his regular doctor. I also stayed up so I could actually have all 3 of my amoxicillan today. I just had the first one. Yesterday I had a hard time urinating. Because I have been measuring, it was too obvious that I wasn't going much. Hopefully this has changed.
Later... went to doc appt. with dh. Got an appointment with my doc for later this afternoon for follow up from hospital visit. Stopped and got milk and broccoli at grocery store. Dh has gone back to bed, so I'm going to join him.

Re: What will you tackle today?
Good morning
My day began with teaming up with DH to take the trash to the road. DS17 was up and getting ready for work. I want to remember how nice it feels to do normal things without any drama or issues. Life isn't always easy, so I want to cherish these moments when it is. IYKWIM
34 SHE cards completed.
Kitchen doings so far today -
** coffee made
** 4 mason jar quarts of tea made
** daily quota of nuts & fruit out (dried apricots & prunes)
** Sweet teriyaki chicken out of the freezer to thaw
** apples sliced and cooked with hot links.
** 4 overnight oatmeal & yogurt breakfast jars made
** vitamin & meds out for DH, myself & teens
** mason jars of lentil and beets out of the freezer
** hot links out of the freezer
thats all I can remember....more will be happening all through the day
The kitchen and the garden receive hands-on action and focus all through the day.
Watching videos about Swedish death cleaning method has me inspired. I have an empty 50 gallon trash bag ready for me to fill today. I'm going to start with an easy place...... The hot tub room.

Re: What will you tackle today?
Cathy, I am so glad you got a prompt appt.
LadyM, my ddolder thinks I should do overnight oats, but I never have gotten into the habit. Do you add things to yours the night before, or as you are ready to eat or do you just have them plain? I guess it has just seemed so easy to boil water in the a.m. and go with that - noncommittal, maybe. Maybe it's just that I don't want to commit to any particular breakfast... ..
Get well soon to lucylee's dgs.
We've already gotten groceries in and put away today.
Today I continue with a laundry plan - another load is going.
Also, maybe decide about that pocket and get to a finish on that project.
Continue on with focus cleaning/decluttering.
Possibly Thursday the electrician comes, but he can't do anything about the dishwasher itself and why the spigots at sink now don't have the pressure they did before the installation... .. Sigh.
Friday a long day of appts to plan for, two different locations.

Re: What will you tackle today?
I did it. I started the declutter process again.
I filled the 50 gallon bag up with stuff that needs to be released. I find it sad that I can't really tell much difference in the amount of STUFF still in the hot tub room.
Things that have been removed from the room that wouldn't fit into the bag ....
** A freestanding coat rack, which we used to hang wet bathing suits on while getting dressed. No longer used so out it goes.
** A freestanding telescope. This thing is bulky and heavy, weighing over 100 pounds and possibly closer to 200 pounds. No longer used so out it goes.
If I made this much decluttering progress consistently every day, it would eventually make a difference.

Re: What will you tackle today?
Overnight oats have been a long-standing breakfast favorite of mine. I go through phases where I eat it frequently then switch to another favorite. When life is busy it is nice to just grab a pint mason jar of ready-to-eat food and go. I have a card hanging on the inside of my cabinet door to remind me what ingredients & amounts that I like putting into the jars. Over the years i have added and removed some ingredients but the basics stay the same.
28g oats (1/4 cup). I only buy organic gluten free certified oats.
113g Greek yogurt. Sometimes I use plain yogurt and sometimes Oikos flavored Greek yogurt.
4g psyllium husk powder. This makes it super thick and creamy. I prefer that consistency.
Water to the top of the jar and stir. It is super quick and easy to prepare.
When I get ready to eat I decide on adding some frozen berries....or not.
This is 215 calories, 19g protein, 6g fiber.
