"Sunday Girl" is a song recorded by the American new wave band Blondie, from the band's 1978 album Parallel Lines. Written by guitarist Chris Stein, the song was inspired by Debbie Harry's cat, who was named Sunday Man—the cat had recently run away, inspiring the song's "plaintive" nature.

Blondie drummer Clem Burke said the song's drumbeat was inspired by Hal Blaine's playing on The Ronettes' "Be My Baby," describing "Sunday Girl" as "pure power-pop."

"Sunday Girl" helped propel Parallel Lines to number one in the UK and platinum status in the US, becoming one of Billboard's Top 10 albums of 1979.

Thank you for starting us off, Kittykatt. You have a busy day lined up. I hope that it's a good one.

I have gotten a head start on this one:
Sunday

Fuse blew.
Unplugged breadmaker
Reset breaker
Dw picked up from where it left off. Phew
Looked up info on baking bread in oven
Put away dry dishes
Moved dishes to dish racks
Put away dw
Removed bread from breadmaker, removed paddle, removed oven rack, put bread in oven
Put away dry tshirts.
Rearranged the rest to finish drying.
Checked laundry on big rack and put away dry
Checked bread and put it on rack to cool
Ordered calendar from rabbit rescue
Wrapped bread and put it in canister
Put down treat and fresh water for Germane

That's enough for now. Heading to bed.

◕‿◕ * * * Good Morning! * * * ◕‿◕

kittykatt, thanks for the start. I wish you a good time at church and after ward.

Sleep well, Doggedly.

Thinking of baby I in NICU, and her family. Thanks helia for sharing Christian names.

I hope trissie will be peacefully ready to go to the cottage today.

lauralind I'm curious about your blanket project. The only blankets I crocheted were made with granny squares, small blankets for each boy when second DS was still a baby, same colors (light grey, light blue, limegreen and forestgreen), the idea was that one day I would stitch the 2 together to make some sort of couch blanket. I never have. You make me want to start some crochet thing : I have no knitting or crochet project underway, and crocheting a blanket is a great things to do during cold evenings, as it lays on your lap when you work on it :)

We are changing times this morning, one extra hour. The sun will set earlier, it will now be dark at dinner time, but fortunately I can walk the kids to daycare with some daylight this upcoming week (Monday and Tuesday only, after that I have three days off).
Yesterday's family movie was the young and prodigious T S Spivet, the kids liked it, the grownups enjoyed watching it a second time. It's by Jean-Pierre Jeunet, the French guy who did Amelie Poulain, but it's set in the US (and some Canadian settings from what I read). Oh and kittykatt, is had trains in it, in case your DH is looking for a movie to watch ;) .

Today I have some cooking ahead to do, and the upstairs (kids bedroom) need some cleaning and vacuuming. In the afternoon we will visit a friend of MrNG's, G---, who is a photographer, he intends to make art shootings of each kid (one portrait for each), black and white. Not sure if we have other plans.

TODOs
breakfast for me and anyone who will be up
start lunch (fish in the oven and some veggies)
also start tomorrow's dinner (cod and potatoes and courgettes au gratin, a brandade)
then I will decide what else I feel up to

We have sun.
MrNG decided to bake cakes to bring this afternoonn at his DF's house. A pineapple cake and a basic chocolate cake. And I cooked tomorrow's dinner, as well as today's fish and roasted veggies. The kitchen was a bit busy. Now trying to get the kids to get showered and dressed while keeping an eye on the oven.

TADAs
breakfast for all
started lunch (fish in the oven and some veggies)
also started tomorrow's dinner (cod and potatoes and courgettes au gratin, a brandade)
and some conversation while cooking

TODOs
set the clocks to Winter Time (GMT+1) : kitchen, LR
get things out of the oven and put other things in
set the table for lunch even if we won't be hungry because of the time change

Good morning/ good afternoon, Dogged, FFB and L.Ann!

Sleep well, Dogged! I'm glad the bread and the dishwasher survived the power trip.

FFB, thank you for the train recommendation. :D Our clocks have gone back and hour too, so it's still dark when we get up, and gets dark again in the evening before 5 pm. Today started off dry, with even some sun , but it's now started raining. Again.

Enjoy the small shops, L.Ann. Is this a special event they put on?

We had a good service at church and severalorw people signed up for parish lunch this Thursday. DF E was in very good form for coffee today. I'm back home now and had a few minutes leaf picking in my front garden before the rain started. Lunch is now in the oven, the cat food is weighed out for the week, and I'm now sitting with Jude on my lap.
