Sleep well, Dogged! Yay for good service at the parts store. Shoe shopping is scheduled for Friday, when I'm in town anyway ( or possibly tomorrow, depending what time parish lunch finishes.

Re: Wexford Blackcurrant Jam Wednesday
Good morning, everyone, and happy Wednesday!
Bama, have you tried a light box first thing in the morning for your lack of mojo? I use mine every morning between the end of September and March (depending on the weather - if it's sunny I can start later and finish earlier) I do don't gives me that mental boost I need to at least do *something*, even on those days in winter when it rains all the time and never really gets light. I'm curious how you manage to keep your Christmas tree fresh for so long and prevent needle drop (or do you have a sneaky replacement lined up for nearer the big day?
)
So, Wednesday. DH goes to the office, and I'm home with the cats.
I'm not sure what the forecast is for today yet, but, if dry, I really need to clean the windows , and DH being out of the house is a good opportunity, as I won't disturb him when I do the office/ spare room. I would like a walk (I think it rained overnight, so probably round the estate), some garden time would be good if it's not too squishy underfoot , and, of course, there's always the housework!

◕‿◕ * * * Good Morning! * * * ◕‿◕
Kittykatt, thanks for another sweet and fruit-y start. I try not to eat sugar in the morning, but you're not making it easy
now I want to eat jam on toast ! I hear you on the squishy garden...I hope you can still do gardening if that's your wish.
Gray day, rain. MrNG has his internship, and starts the day with a medical appt to remove some skin lesion that is possibly cancerous but not dangerous. I have two days off, DS7 still a bit unstable but very energetic - he woke us up twice during the night, his stomach is still upset by side effects from the cold-like virus. DS9 is home and happy not to have to walk outside in the rain.
TADAs
up after shortened night
MrNG fed, dressed, went to his medical appt before intership
both kids fed, had talk with them about plans for those 2 days, we agreed on a few basic activities
TODOs
round up library books
library trip woth DS7 if the rain stops
prep lunch
this afternoon
shop for remaining clothes kids need (not their favourite activity, nor mine, but necessary)
also shop for scoubidou supplies (boondoggle ? lanyard craft ? scoubidou)
fabric store
prep dinner, dinner, maybe a family movie

Re: Wexford Blackcurrant Jam Wednesday
Good morning, FFB! Sorry about the short night. I hope DS7 gets over his tummy trouble soon. I also hope Mr NG's appointment goes well. If it helps at all, I've had a couple of skin "things" removed in the past, and it was uneventful. Oh, and healing is very good these days. It can look quite red and obvious during the initial healing process, but after a year or so you shouldn't be able to see any scars when just looking "normally"(especially important if it's on the face). And after a bit longer they should have fade so you can't tell even when peering closely. The scoubidou looks very interesting - I liked that it didn't involve complicated "equipment". I'm guessing it must take practice to get the tension of the knots even, but then most things require practice!
The house is quiet, and it's not raining yet. I e done some admin tasks this morning, so I'm off to a good start..I can't do any more to this until I hear back from the people I've contacted, but it's off to a good start.

Re: Wexford Blackcurrant Jam Wednesday
Hello everyone
I am having a rare morning in the house on my own. Dh has gone to town on his own so I am intending to get some things done in the house. I saw your post about jam, kitty. Dd had a damson tree in the front garden. This year there has been not one damson on it. A few days ago A brought 4 jars of damson jam he found in the wardrobe, it has dd's handwriting. It is delicious and I have been having it on toast.
The stairs and our bedroom desperately need vacumming so I will do that when I have put washuing on. It is the church meal tonight so I will just have some toast and jam for lunch.
