Re: Prairie. Berries Saskatoon Berry Spread Sunday
Prairie Berries is a Canadian company that takes pride in producing high-quality products made from saskatoon berries. Their Saskatoon Berry Spread is a jam made with 60% saskatoon berries, without preservatives or artificial flavors. This delicious spread is rich in fiber, vitamin C, and iron, offering numerous health benefits.
Saskatoon berries are known for their rich flavor, which is reminiscent of a mix of cherries, almonds, and grapes, and research has shown that they possess strong antioxidant properties, similar to blueberries. This spread can be used as a topping on bread, pancakes, or yogurt, or even as a filling for pastries, adding a sweet and nutritious touch to any meal.

◕‿◕ * * * Good Morning! * * * ◕‿◕
Thanks kittykatt for another delicious start, I'm learning a lot about jams and spreads, and about berries. Wishing you a good morning at church.
Back from our train trip to Paris yesterday around 9pm. Kids wanted to watch a family movie but really they were exhausted, as were we grownups.
Sunny morning (so far), short trip to convenience store because we didn't do the weekly grocery order. It was nice to walk in the sun, the air was fresh but not cold. The church bells started ringing on my way back, uplifting my mood as a Pavlovian response.
TADAs
all up, late
breakfast
short walk to convenience store to ensure two meals today
TODOs
weekly menus, list, online order
a few house-cleaning tasks, maybe gardening, before the rain starts...
prep lunch
take it easy, relax...
email pictures (from family time in Paris) to siblings ?
set things up for the upcoming week

Re: Prairie. Berries Saskatoon Berry Spread Sunday
So, how did the kids like Paris, Frenchie? I think you said it was a family reunion type of thing?
I had to look up Saskatoon berry, kittykatt - it's one that's not in my garden
We did have its cousin, the serviceberry (both are botanically amelanchier, just different varieties), and it was very tasty, but the tree did not survive and we planted a peach tree in that location.
It's party time today! 3 hours to go. Very much not ready, but what can I say? The kids will be happy with a couple bowls of chips and sweets and some vegetable trays
I ran (well drove) to the store to buy donuts for donut on a string contest (it's one that kids absolutely adore!), and the family did pretty much nothing while I was gone (other than drop an egg on the freshly mopped kitchen floor...), so as soon as I finish my coffee, there will be some commotion to be raised!
TaDas
- up and attem
- breakfast and coffee
- some internet time, mostly looking up activities and refreshment ideas
- start DW, because I forgot to do it yesterday evening
- grocery run
- peeled and cut pumpkin and put it in oven (to make puree for cupcakes)
- lunch started
- unloaded DW
- mopped kitchen
- more coffee
ToDos
- crisis cleaning: 15 in kitchen, 15 in living room, 15 in bathrooms and hallways
- finish lunch
- make meringue ghosts

Does the time change affect anyone here besides me? It’s probably why I woke so early.
Kittykatt, thanks for the start and the new to me berry tongue twister. Enjoy church and whittling down your list.
French, welcome back, hope the trip was lovely. The walk sounds so nice, sunshine and musical bells.
Trissie, what fun to set up a party and play games with your family.
Gma, I hope the trip was more joyous than sad for you. Your mom’s life will certainly be celebrated by many.
I woke with a tingle of a headache, not to complain but just note in case I forget once I start my day. I’m going to get a small cup of coffee and see if that helps. I’m not sure what we are doing today. I’ll wake up dh and see what’s on his mind.
♥ Wake each day expecting good things to happen! ♥

I had to change my time zone on the she board. It was throwing me off to be posting in the “future” lol. Now I’ve gained an extra hour for my day.

Bama what will you do with that extra hour ?
trissie good luck with the party and probably sugarified kids. I was glad to read you had a good time at the cottage, with less screen time and more talking. So important.
The trip to Paris was for my parents' wedding anniversary, they married on a 31st October 55 years ago. They wanted to celebrate their 50th anniversary but it was during lockdown, so we celebrated this one instead. Their four kids and matching partners, and 7 grandkids, all together on the 1st of November. An escape game at the Opéra Garnier on Saturday morning (there were lots of teams doing the escape game, they run them on weekends) the younger ones were a bit lost but eveeryone enjoyed visiting the beautiful building with golden statues and velvet seats and curtains and paintings, and we (the four of us) took a family selfie in front of the special lodge of the Ghost, the one that is never rented to any visitor because bad luck would follow...
Then a delicious meal at a nearby restaurant, a French brasserie, a table for 17 guests, my dad did a short speech and we ate great French cuisine for hours and were all full and happy - not all family meals are happy, and there aren't many (usually only one a year, for Christmas, at my parents' home), this time the settings were nice and the food was great.
The kids enjoyed the train, we usually drive to Paris but this time we opted for a change. Our hotel room was truly nothing worth remembering
, but we had a nice time and visited Montmartre on the Friday. MrNG and I had been there before but not the boys.
TADAs
some gardening
some cuop (not entirely)
lunch made and eaten and cleaned up, with leftovers for some weekday lunches
menus mostly ready for the upcoming days
TODOs
weekly menus, list, online order
