KISS Keep it Simple Saturday PWYC
Keep it simple, friends! In the coming week and coming month of holidays, what can you do to simplify and streamline? Is it putting it all on cards to follow through? Is it dropping some things until after the holiday rush? Is it streamlining your gift list?
Let's work to keep it simple these days! None of us are spring chickens, and our families are aging and need us present!

No helper today - time for me to get mom up. praying she lets me get her up on my own. give her bath
its chilly in the house
what needs work:
family room - big job.
get all christmas presents down stairs (I need to buy more christmas paper - I don't want the presents to go downstairs until they are wrapped and separated.
mom's room (finish the lights) clean the other two windows and hang up light holders. (big job)

Re: KISS Keep it Simple Saturday PWYC
I could not sleep after three ish / laid in bed for a while then got up 4 ish.
Have done some writing and rounded up duds and got them going.
Sheets are in the wash that was my biggest challenge today but the clean ones are on the bed now yea!
To do my get up and move and stretch every 25 Min. to stay limber is today's challenge.
I've done some knitting and glad for the visible progress that it gives me this stripey yarn is fun to do up!
Leaves are not too bad today neighbor pointed out the wind may help them to blow down the street and into the fields at some point!
bfast is next.x
----
Got the last load in the dryer.
Other stuff is folded.
Fog is burning off and the sun is peeking out now.
-----
Back is some better.
Made pumpkin bread it's baking now.
Fetch mail.
Did more knitting.
Clothes are done and put away now.

Thank you for starting us off this morning Twins' Mom!
I've been up for a couple of hours, but I'm achy, so I think I'm going to get into bed and read. It feels cold in here this morning.

Good morning
((((Group Hugs)))) I love this SHE village. Thank you for the support last night when I was a bit overwhelmed. It means the world to me. I had tears falling as I read your kind and encouraging words.

((LadyM)) I cannot imagine how overwhelmed you're feeling about this. We are all here for you, wishing we could drop by with a casserole or soup or a hug.
Dh still at Torah study, dog is walked, laundry going. Sheets in the dryer aren't feeling quite dry so they're going again. I think I have two loads of darks for today - got behind, and I think dh is wearing a sweatshirt more for his workouts (WHY?) making more laundry too. I put a couple of dark things of mine in there and put a post it note about hanging them up instead of dryer.
I was working on a Christmas/holiday card upstairs yesterday when I stopped to come downstairs and start our supper prep, so I think I'll continue that today. And I think I'm receiving a Stampin up stamp and the die cuts today for it...
We're out to dinner with dneighbors tonight...

Re: KISS Keep it Simple Saturday PWYC
Hey, everybody!
(((LadyM))) The words do certainly make things more concrete, for better or worse, don’t they?
It is a rare Saturday when DH has nothing on his agenda, at least for the early part of the day. No Scouts, no school obligations. We are scheduled to do the livestream at church this afternoon, and after that, he will be going to the hockey game with one of the guys from school (I think he’s an assistant coach for the JV hockey team, but I’m not sure). But for now, he is free. Once I’m done here, I will ask him if there’s anything in particular he’d like to do with the day. I’ve got a couple of things around the house I’d like help with, but I can forgo them if he’s got something better.

Re: KISS Keep it Simple Saturday PWYC
I'm trying to keep it simple, but gift buying is overwhelming me. I have a lot of gifts and some I just don't feel like I can give $.
Dmom -- done
DS -- partly done, appreciates $$
DDIL -- " " " " "
DGS -- not so hard to buy for and appreciates $$
DGD -- " " " " " " " " "
Dniece -- same
Nephew -- "
Dbil -- totally at a loss
DSISIL -- " " " "
-- I kinda wish we would just quit exchanging gifts with dbroil and dsisil. They are sooo hard to buy for! Him especially. I usually fall back on movie or restaurant gift cards, which are used by both of them, so I have to come up with something individually for each of them. Plus her birthday is in December (and dniece's birthday is in December.) Dbil and dsisil have a lot more $ than I do, so I don't want to get something that looks "cheap," you know. DSISIL always picks good stuff for me.
I just have to get out there and DO IT. I have to do some in-store shopping. I guess I will make that a priority the week after Thanksgiving.
And I have to remember my late dmil's philosophy -- They won't be any worse off if they don't like it.
Today I am keeping hoping to keep it simple:
[ ] Dcousin's 2nd birthday party 2-4 at their church (close by)
[ ] get Sunday clothes for dgd after ddil gets home from work
[ ] organize those papers and planners, etc. that I mentioned last night
I need to call my dmom! I haven't talked to her in a couple days -- I've called, but she didn't answer. If I don't get an answer today, I will go check on her after the birthday party.

Re: KISS Keep it Simple Saturday PWYC
mom is back in bed again - dd younger had mom wash the table - so sweet - mom closed her eyes through the whole thing - but was happy she got it done.
finished sticking 3 m thingy's for lights on (one) side window - - I hung up the center curtains - in two hours I will hang the lights up on the 2 side windows.
ordered 30" curtain rods - the ones I had for the 3 season room were too big!
I need to iron the curtains but I decided to hang them up so that they didn't wrinkle a lot.
dogs have been out quite a bit
found more wrapping paper - dd younger took the wrapped presents to the basement.
next wash the one side window that is left. dry and put 3 m thingy's on them.
