Hi! Welcome back Twins' Mom and thank you for starting us off today!!
I took off the old toilet seat and installed the new one. I also took a load of stuff to the landfill.
Now I think I am home for the day.

Re: Ta Da! It's Tuesday PWYC
1. -order things for Christmas Eve dinner and plan Christmas Day brunch.
the goal is special but not taxing. it's the thought that counts! The feeling of christmas!
everyone is thrilled this year that we didn't get a live tree - the extra work (we get a big tree) would have been too much this year. I suggested a fake tree for next year but the family loves the smell of the real tree and the fan fare as we get it - if they are willing to the physical work then I am happy to let them
what needs attention:
find my broom - no clue where it is.
talk to dd younger about dd older's gift that we discussed.
do Monday and Tuesday focus -
stretch
wrap the one present - ask dd younger about dog gifts for family
eventual - finish gingerbread house with mom
separate the presents for the different areas
christmas cards for mom and for us - we have cut down a lot - mom may have more than us.
what am I wearing for Christmas Eve and day.
finish laundry
wash sheets and blankets
work on family room
see mom's needs and order
my positivity journal or jar.

Re: Ta Da! It's Tuesday PWYC
Afternoon.....
I was able to sleep with my windows open and had a good night sleep. Was planning to go to the gym, but Sweetie woke confused and wanted to shave his head. Didn't want to come home to Yul Brynner so I cancelled my class.
I finally got Sweetie showered and dressed and the got his breakfast for him. While he watched the news I addressed 20 Cmas cards. House is somewhat decorated but don't have much more to do.
We are getting a new internet system tomorrow so I had to empty the closet where our A/C is. It where I keep all my cleaning supplies, mops and vacuum cleaner. They will be here to install the system and I didn't want to wait till the last minute to do that.
I have several health services calling me about caretakers, but my brother contacted the facility that helped us with our mom to see if they have any recommendations for services here. Then I had to call our finance guy who is also a personal friend about taxes and transferring funds. Always nice to talk to him. He was Sweeties finance guy long before I came around and we ended up spending personal time together. His wife had a heart transplant before I knew her and lived a very healthy life for many years after she received it. She just died several years ago and was a great loss of a friend.
I need to go to the grocery store and will take Sweetie with me. Not comfortable about leaving him except for short periods of time. That why I need a caretaker to help.
Mystery...My home is 2,000 sq ft. I just had lots of things to do around here yesterday and my steps showed it. Not gonna happen today though.
Hope to get some of my presents wrapped later today after I get back from the store...we shall see. BBL

Re: Ta Da! It's Tuesday PWYC
Good afternoon
I am reclaiming my daily doings pathway routine one step at a time. Adding another teen (DGS18) to the household cause mild ripples but the biggest challenges was getting DH through his latest loss of memory episode. DH is back to 75% or so of his normal self that he could do before this episode. He isn't recovering like he has before, but hopefully it will happen.
I’m grateful I got over seven hours of sleep last night. After barely sleeping on Sunday night, I was starting to feel the effects of sleep deprivation. It brought back memories of those nights caring for sick babies, when they need constant attention and you just push through the best you can.
This is the LAST regular school day of 2025! Tomorrow and Thursday are semester tests days, so school is out early.

Re: Ta Da! It's Tuesday PWYC
Checking back in. Dh came back home (first trip out was for bowling ball issues, see the pattern here?) Now he's gone out for lunch. I haven't finished unpacking or s2s-ed.
Ta das:
-a.m. routine except for shower (kitchen clean up, put away stuff on kitchen counters, I'm finishing breakfast)
-Dining room clean up (house sitter had our mail there)
-mail sorted
-updated windows. Scary because it took a very long time
-read/purged most email
-second load of laundry in dryer, first load hanging, third load in washer. I think this will do us for today. I have limited hanging space so tomorrow will see more laundry to hang dry, maybe another load of darks, and for sure whites...dishtowels, socks, etc.
Ddog has been in and out, in and out. I'd rather not leave her out while I'm showering. Once I get her back in I'll s2s.
RR, you're correct you'll need a helper for the errands you need to do and for you to get out for workouts and other events. I hope you're able to find someone who can connect with Sweetie.
Nancy, also trash day here. I'm glad you're safe and not near flooding.
Bw2, you sound very together today! Glad things are manageable right now. Did you use the missing broom to sweep the cobwebs away this a.m.?
WTG Cathy on the toilet seat change and trip to landfill. Great to get stuff out of house!
Mystery, I can get a lot of steps around our house - total sq ft is only 2700 perhaps, with the downstairs the larger of the two of course. Sometimes I try for extra steps while I'm folding laundry too.
Where's LadyM today? When is school done? Is ds18 still visiting? Ah, there's LadyM! Waving like crazy!
