Alexander Ivanovich Tikhonov (Russian: Александр Иванович Тихонов; born 2 January 1947) is a former Soviet-Russian biathlete. He is a four-time Olympic champion, winning his gold medals in relays.

On 23 July 2007, he was found guilty of conspiracy to commit murder and sentenced to three years of imprisonment, but he was amnestied immediately and did not spend any time in prison.

Good morning Trissie and thank you for another interesting start. Hmmm, I wonder if Alexander's position had anything to do with his release? ( Not that I'm cynical or anything! )

Just a very quick CI as I need to leave early for church and MJ is hopefully coming to work on the kitchen cupboard project. It's also our monthly church lunch, but fortunately DH is WFH today, so can look after MJ, and I'm only a phone call away if there are any problems. (I dont forsee any, but one never knows!)

Yesterday was reasonably successful, I ordered paint for one wall.of the sitting room ( it's the wall with the big radiator where "ghost marks" form due to the hot air convection. Ive scrubbed them.off,. but the wall now doesn't "look right". Only I can see it, of course, but once you've seen it you can't unsee it, so a quick repaint.job is the answer! That's scheduled for wither tomorrow when DH should be safely up in the office, or Saturday when he's out!) I also ordered a part for the handheld hoover, cleaned the windows when it stopped raining, and cleaned the kitchen. No walk, unfortunately, as it was just so wet underfoot.

And now I need to get moving and ensure everything is ready for MJ.

LOL! Kitty, I'm with you on being cynical, seeing how the world seems to work. WTG on the sitting room project! Have a good morning at church.

Yesterday, was fairly productive for me. I got clean sheets on the bed, finished the 2nd exam draft for payroll exam prep, had a mammogram, exercised at the gym, and made a nice meal of white chicken chili and a green salad. However, lots of other things did not get done, and I hope to tackle them today.

Today: I'm up a tad late. Took a peek at the news. Some things not great - other not as bad as they could be. There's only one event on my calendar today - I'm meeting with AS for my work out at 2 this afternoon. The volunteer ESL class this evening has been cancelled. I'll post some goals for today; sometimes that works better to keep me on track. I have time to cook dinner tonight, so I don't have to pull from the freezer. Just not sure what I want to make.

I scheduled out my day - and then 35 minutes later, before I'd even started the 9:15 activity, I redid it all as everything shifted because. . . (1) I spent too much time trying to figure out what the message to my mom is in the medical system (I think they've inactivated her account), (2) I went ahead and copied, moved, and made quick edits to AIR Exam, (3) I found an interesting recipe to try tonight (chicken lettuce wraps), and then (4) I got a message from AS moving my work out time with him to 4:30. reworked my schedule for the day.

Back at it with a cup of tea in hand.

Bama, I get the "room destroyed by cats" - BTDT. Freddie is currently on my lap, and DH has shut the Girls in the bedroom, as he couldn't cope with their demands when he was on a conference phone call. Jude has resorted to pulling out cables if she feels she isn't getting enough attention!

Church was very good this morning, and once again I managed to hoover the car before the rain started. There were 6 of us for lunch today, and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. I'm now finally back home (I dropped DF PM at home as it was raining heavily by then) and deciding what to do next. Maybe tackle the notice board in the kitchen?.
