What are your plans for the day? What are you having for supper?

I know that we aren't having ground beef.

It's very foggy here today and a lot of the snow has melted. Too bad there is a HUGE storm on the way tomorrow.

Up and about here! I only have a short Zoom meeting this afternoon and then a webinar to watch this evening. Might watch it in bed with the dog since dh will be out bowling. He's working out this morning so the house is oh so quiet so far, lol.

I need to get moving soon.

Glad your mother had a good day bw2, and hope that headache is long gone by now.

Good morning! I'm not sure what I call it -- I'm certainly not consistent -- probably Paczki Day (on my computer, so I can't access that little hook like blessed did; I can't remember what it's called, but it's not really a cedilla), although properly, Paczki Day is the Thursday previous -- gotta have time to eat 'em once you fry 'em. Forgot to have DH pick some up from the grocery, so I have to remember to pick some up at the bakery after dropping DC off. I hope they have some left.

DC is actually up and about in time to make their own breakfast -- so often, I'm making something for them so we can get out the door.

It looks like I won't have a quick turnaround this morning -- they have said they're going to their girlfriend's after class. They did not get together over the weekend because L had to work.

The US women just whomped on Denmark in curling; the US team was ON, and Denmark was OFF.

I hadn't heard of any storm in the forecast here, Cathy, but it does look like we'll get plenty of rain for the next few days -- and then it'll turn to snow again. I guess I'd better enjoy the sun while I can.

Sounds like a peaceful day ahead of you, Twins.

Nothing else new -- maybe I'll be back later with something interesting.

It's also Women's Institute Day and I will be going to the local W. I. meeting this afternoon. We have a few women who work at the museum which is a short drive from our tiny town. I'm looking forward to seeing all of them.

Good morning / afternoon everyone! For us it's Shrove Tuesday or Pancake Day.

Making progress on the housework this afternoon. For once it isn't raining, so I spent the.morning helping DF CW in her garden, and also doing something in my garden.

We had rain in the nite and snow all around us cooler here this week.
Trash is out and can is at the road.
Slept well and through the nite yea!

I've been up a while got up on time.
Journals are current now that took a while.
Had bfast.

Interesting dreams too.
Thinking where to begin for my day.
I have a few on the bujo for options deciding on my focus.

Glad for the progress I made yesterday after a morning off.

With all the Morning Daily Card done well here, I'm likely going to head out with HRH to grocery, at least, and possibly other errands.

A beautiful day today, and temperature is even nice, maybe 60?

On the agenda, both trash and recycling, I believe.
DgsW wants to come by, so looking forward to seeing him.

In the "Learn Something New Every Day" department:

I had no idea until Doggedly posted as topic title in Fun and Games, that it is the beginning of the Lunar New Year, also called Chinese New Year, today and Ramadan starts this evening. A headline did pass my way regarding the Year of the Horse a few days back, but I didn't know it was current. It is actually The Year of the Fire Horse, because:

Lunar New Year begins on the date of the second new moon after the winter solstice each December.
In 2026, that new moon coincides with both a rare “ring of fire” annular solar eclipse and the first sighting of the Ramadan crescent moon, making it one of the most significant celestial and cultural days of the year. - Forbes Magazine

Same here, Harriet, didn't realize until I saw posts that Ramadan and Chinese New Year coincided with Mardi Gras.

Very enjoyable Zoom meeting discussing the Family History Writing Contest, my mentee, and the status of the certification discussion groups. I'll see this gal in May at that conference too. She was the winner of last year's contest.
