I think of myself as something of a connoisseur of procrastination, creative and dogged in my approach to not getting things done.

Re: Wednesday Anti Procrastination PWYC
Hi! It's raining here. Yay! Part of the much needed progression to spring type of weather. There is a lot less snow due to melting over the past few days, but of course that leads to lots of ground being over saturated.
Dh and I are having a pajama day because we have no appointments. I need to phone the doctor's office and ask for a phone call from the doctor. Dh wants to know if he should continue with the nurse and the absorbent pads and the comp. socks. He would prefer to not have it anymore, but his legs and feet are getting more and more swollen.
So I need to get on the phone and actually make that call.
I dealt with all 3 cat litter boxes yesterday. I also took out all of the garbage. There are a few dishes in the sink. Clean laundry is all put away.
I think the only anti procrastination job is to get into bed with dh and read.

Re: Wednesday Anti Procrastination PWYC
I did the vacuuming and sweeping last nite so I could focus on desk duty today.
Up after daylite today 6:45 is sleeping in for me.
Had to say up after a low last evening.
Did 10K+ steps on Tues.
We just got rain despite a weather advisory 1-3" snow prediction, folks were excited but it failed to appear here.
Today's temps. 34* / 41* F.
I can see snow half way up the hill mtns. all around have snow and I see the snow line just above us.
Desk duty happening now paid a bill cleaned receipts out of my wallet.
Fighting off a cold have a cold sore too. Dang!
Woke up thinking of chicken soup.
bfast happened.
They are working on inner net & power lines this week here. ddoggo just alerted.
The you tube outrage happened as I was on net-flicks so I knew it was not the line of inner net and just yt.
yt goes out and has glitches every so often. I was not worried.
picked up after the doggo
nearly have my steps in for today.
A road work ahead sign is in front of my house they are working up the street again.

Re: Wednesday Anti Procrastination PWYC
Good morning! Thanks for opening us up, Twins! blessed, is this the "caregiver" who didn't do her job and just nattered on? If so, thank goodness she's gone.
Forgot I did have other events on my agenda yesterday -- got my blue touched up. It's always too dark when it first goes on; I think I like it best about 2/3 faded. Maybe if she left the dye on for less time? But that wasn't going to happen yesterday -- she cut another woman's hair while I was cooking, so if anything, the dye was on a little long. And I spent an hour with the water department getting my bills straightened out -- it turns out that EZ Pay and E-pay are two different things in their system, and they had us on both, deducting from two different bank accounts.
I'm not a huge fan of the local bakery's paczki -- instead of doing a regular filled donut, they cut them like a donut with the hole in the middle, but the hole doesn't go all the way through, and they put the filling in the divot. They still gave you plenty of filling -- I don't think I could pass a drug test with the amount of poppyseeds they put in the poppyseed one -- but it was messy. Still, I didn't feel like making my own this year, so beggars can't be choosers.
I've already gotten the wash in this morning (does that count for anti procrastination?), and Great Britain tore the US men's curling team into little pieces, so that's over already. I lost track as I was posting, but it was over quicker than expected, so the US must have conceded.
Debating whether to go to the noon Ash Wednesday service. I don't want to go to the Mass this evening, but I worry about parking for the noon service; the school is in session, and I don't know how much of the parking lot they will have blocked off. Part of me is thinking I can head over there around quarter till and see what the parking is like and come home if I don't like it. It's less than a 5 minute drive. It's not a day of obligation, so no big deal if I don't go. I am old enough now that I am not bound to the law of fasting for the day, but I am still trying to eat little. Catholic fasting is really nothing compared to a Ramadan or Yom Kippur fast.
Wash just spun out; not sure whether to go deal with that or get a kettle started for DC.
LadyM, it sounds like you're doing well to let DS make up his own mind. He clearly has a lot of knowledge in his chosen field and is more accomplished than most people his age.
Good luck with your phone call, Cathy.
WTG on your steps yesterday, Nancy! Maybe that's why you "slept in."
Still no sign of DC; going to get a kettle started and hash browns in the microwave.

Re: Wednesday Anti Procrastination PWYC
Good morning
Daily doings are in full swing. It is hour #3 of following the pathway cards for me. I'm about 80% on track which pleases me. Progress not perfection.
We had a couple of lifelong VDFriends drop by for a visit about 6ish last night. She asked for a full tour of our home, which might sound weird, but I know her heart and there was just curiosity. I had no problem showing her every nook and cranny as we discussed our life. She is experiencing ministrokes over the past year so there was lots of medical information to discuss. They ended up staying for about 3 hours which is beyond DH bedtime since he is experiencing sundowner symptoms. ANYway, we did enjoy the visit. It is hard to believe that in the middle of February we were choosing to sit outside at 9pm instead of inside. It was in the 80's yesterday and the air is switching from cold winter feel to warm spring like.
We have the 4th medical type appointment of the week today. DD14 has an appointment with her dietitian which is an hour long zoom meeting that starts 15 minutes after DD14 gets out of school. My part to support this appointment is very easy - I just need to have my laptop charged and set up zoom for her. DD14 is very computer savvy so she could do it herself on her laptop. But since the appointment link comes to my email address, I prefer to be the one punching the keys on my laptop. easy...peasy.

Re: Wednesday Anti Procrastination PWYC
We just got the report on dMillie's tumor, a "rare colorectal plasma cell tumor" that is generally benign. But it can mimic a lymphoma which is not benign, so we are having an additional test run to differentiate. She's still not eating well and eliminating well but just finished off antibiotic too. So it's a good report, could be better, could be worse.
Dh is in today, as am I. Soup for our supper, he has a Zoom meeting at six so supper is delayed. I just urged him to be sure his new laptop is set up for whatever kind of meeting it is....instead of him having to scramble to get it set up.
I have a Microsoft support appointment between 8 and 12:30 upstairs to continue my efforts to defeat the evil OneDrive forces. They had emailed me a detailed list of things to delete and and edit to registry, and I had to say I wasn't comfortable with the regedit.
I'm receiving Stampin up stuff in today's mail, hoping for some creative time this afternoon.
LadyM, at ds17's age, he can make up his mind on whether he needs meds. I almost sounds as if the distractions yesterday were on purpose, to see how he handled it?
Mystery, we were in NO once for Mardi Gras, I recall seeing people on the plane the next day with the ash on their forehead. Actually, I was there another time but at college age we were on a bus the day after, so weren't seeing outsiders so much.

Re: Wednesday Anti Procrastination PWYC
So glad to know the report for Millie is something generally benign. In fact, a modest Happy Puppy Dance. Will the additional test simply be on already excised tissue?
Both YouTube and I recovered last evening. HRH said he saw much worse panics than mine online, but was amused that somehow, cherry turnovers fixed it for me, so I must not be as addicted as others. He read that "shorts" are actually handled on different platforms and that's why so many could watch those but not any other YT. That's the problem with having a resource that is such a "Jack of All Trades" - the benefit or the loss will be so widespread. How will people figure out how to repair internal combustion engines after they finish their hooked-rug-making seminar?
I had an idyllic early morning with Tobias as interested companion, helping me rotate the plants into the sunshine, spif the kitchen, putter around the house. I dropped a plastic bowl when reaching into a cabinet and spoiled our quiet, waking HRH. So that was the end of being Tobias' interest, lol. He always has to know what the man is doing.
Mystery, it's so mysterious of you to be blue. When you first mentioned it, I wondered if you meant like "blue-hairs", the sort of tongue-in-cheek comment we used to hear about folks who would tone down the yellow cast in gray hair and turn out silvery-blue. But you are much more vivid. You look lovely.
LadyM, happy for you that you could have a friend enjoy looking around your home with you with only positive feelings. Yesterday my dcousin commented on quilts, blooms on my indoor plants, and I think he ignored my unnecessary mentions of some clutter completely. We should always just enjoy visits and be happy that folks can see we "live" in the pleasant place they are visiting.
blessed, we are positive thinking with you! Glad your mother is sharp today.
Smiling at that quote.
