Morning...
I got up at 4:15 ... bujo & mp journals happened... then I ...
ripped out 2 crochet projects that had failed to turn out glad for that progress.
Watched the sun rise as I did that.
Trash is at the road now.
I have some stamps for rubber stamping out on the table to play with later on today.
Have a great one gals!

Re: Taco Tuesday PWYC
Good morning
DH phone has been ringing this morning with Happy Birthday wishes from family & friends. He received 5 phone calls before 9am. Two people stopped by to tell him Happy Birthday. I'm thankful he is having a good mental/memory day so is enjoying talking to everyone.
DS17 isn't working today as he continues to recovery. He has a friend here.....of course Mr Social Fella does. He is constantly on the phone with someone and usually has 1 to 6 friends with him. Obviously, the years of homeschooling didn't stunt his social skills.

Happy Birthday to LordM!!
PSW just called. She will be here shortly.
Dh wants to take a metal cabinet to a friend's garage today. Hopefully that will get done.
We are having turkey drumsticks and a thigh for supper. After those are cooked, there are 5 more thighs in the chest freezer...

Re: Taco Tuesday PWYC
Waiting on the insurance adjuster.
Second roofer called and said he had not given me a price for Class 4 (top priced) shingles, because he rarely ever used them. The architectural shingles he uses are the ones that used to say 30 years. Now they say “limited life.”
He said he would check on the price difference and let me know if he thought it was worth it.
He is the third generation in his family business and they have been recommended by several people, so I think I can trust his judgment.
Well — adjuster said he would mail me an estimate of what they would pay “but yeah, it looks pretty bad.”
He’s already gone, and didn’t even try to go up on the roof!
Happy birthday, LordM!!!

Re: Taco Tuesday PWYC
Thanks for getting us started, Costumelady. Hope bw2 is efficient in her errands and enjoys her time out of the house!
I have body work this a.m. - good timing because my hips have been aching.
Last round of DAR corrections/changes made and it's packaged for the post office. RR, right now they are reviewing new applications from 3 February. Not much of a wait for those.

Re: Taco Tuesday PWYC
Started day and then forgot to hit submit LadyM, hope birthday for LordM goes well. What is being made from that many toothpicks?
Lucylee good luck with roofer. I put in a request for a landscape quote to put in a front raised bed for my 5 new rose bushes I ordered and not one has reached out sso will call them today and maybe look for others.
Twinsmom, my sister figured out we can be members of DAR. Not been an interest but it is cool learning our lineage qualifies us.
Nancy, I forgot to mention I am not taking the statin drug, mine started years ago with noticing I was forgetting a lot of words and not remembering shows or having to revise grocery list again and again etc. The doctors just placated me which is so insulting. I started taking folate and brain health drops and playing brain games on my phone. It kept getting worse and worse until I was operating in present day, the past memories were foggy at best. That was when I retired. After stopping my small dose of Atorvastatin, my memories and brain came back. I switched to Berberine as I had heard it helped with cholesterol. I got my first kind from Global Healing and the anecdotal reviews said it dropped A1C but no one said anything about cholelestrol. I took for 10 weeks and had my bloodtests and it lowered my A1C to normal, no longer prediabetic. But cholesterol was going back up. Did some research and found a different Berberine that anecdotal evidence ce said it lowered cholesterol, going on 11th week so I am going to get another blood test to see if C level has come down. I refuse to lose my brain again. I am noticing hubby having same issues as me so if mine drops pulling him off for a month as an experiment too. If you or others notice a brain decline know it is reversible when you get off of the statin.
I am making appts with a accupuncturist and a functional medicine doctor today. I seem to have a pinched nerve that is causing sunburn pain on right cheek and left side of neck. It is not shingles. This is the second time this has happened. Had a neck adjustment yesterday and it is improved this morning but not gone but chiro suggested accupuncture. Because I take numerous supplements I would like to go so someone who uses supplements for health to have a full work up.
Also I can't say enough good things about physical therapy to fix things. I had a bad knee from a bad horse fall 22 years ago and 2 years ago I finally begged for tests or something. My doctor gave me 1 knee exercise and said do this daily and we will talk in 6 Mos. I got super annoyed because like the atorvastatin she just kept doing the watch and wait. My chiro got me physical therapy and 6 weeks later my knee was great. I can squat without pain etc. Best exercise was pool deep squats and strap assisted deep squats on land. I had about 10 knee exercises.
More recently I had SIRVA shoulder injury resulting from Vaccine Administration. The young new med tech put my shot in wrong part of arm and damaged my bursa. A cortisone shot and 4 months of physical therapy healed me. It took 4 months and it is still a bit of a weather arm, predicting bad weather with a 90% accuracy. LoL.
Athletico I think is a national chain of PT/OT and they are far superior to the local hospital PT.
Still working on laundry today and setting up bills but all else got done yesterday.. I teach today but no bells. Not sure what else is on agenda. Might try to exercise. I used to get up and go to Y each morning and I have gotten into habit of lazing in bed for 3 or 4 hours upon awaking. I need to get back on launching to Y or canceling my membership. I do need to call and take hubby off. We pay for something I haven't used in 6 months mostly due to shoulder. Today is favorite exercise day but with work and other activities it is intense. Water class, and 2 land classes and then work and a meeting, usually bells. It is on West side near where I work. I put all the classes in calendar so I wouldn't have to look up and I just feel guilty daily for not going. I have an amazing workout studio, I can't motivate myself to go upstairs either. Need motivation and a routine. Wish I had a neighbor that wanted to exercise with me here.
My middle son found property he wants at end of our block. We want him to get it. It is a great price. We said we were going to help with down-payment because he cost us the least on college. Oldest was 80k youngest was about 50 to 60k and middle maybe 30k tops. He just took 1 semester full dorm and tuition around 15 k then 2 years community after turning 24 which he lived at home and fafsa cover almost all maybe 4 k from us then online with WGU for 1.5 years costing 10 k tops on what Fafsa didnt cover. We have supported the younger two with room and board for 6 years since Covid as adults and Oldest lived with us for 1.5 years during covid too.. I even cover phone and car insurance. Oldest pays for phone on our plan but is totally independent. Middle was fully independent for 7 years. The younger 2 will begin first paying phone and car now they have jobs that pay., since they live with us they are on our plan. Middle has a house he wants to build. This may happen in steps. Buy land. Pay for plans for garage and basement. Build basement. Then get modular house he wants. Our house is a stickbuilt to code modular as well We are deciding if we buy land or put in basement For him.
