Monday Morning Musings PWYC

Post by MysteryWoman »

Is everyone busy? Or is this Sleeping-in Sunday, Part II?

No musings here yet, as I’m out and about. Share your PODA! I hope your day’s a great one.

mystery hello hello - thank you for starting us.

I haven't been able to be here during the day and especially at night - I let mom use my computer in the evening.
it is always a joy to be here with you!

Hi!

Heading to my Monday morning stitch group. 1 knitter, 2 crocheters and 2 cross stitchers. Awful lighting though. There are 3 pot lights in the ceiling about 20 feet above us. There is also a long narrow window which only helps when the sun is shining. It's overcast here today.

Spaghetti and meat sauce for supper.

Absolutely nothing on my to do list today. I overdid it yesterday.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.

Starting a post that is likely to be interrupted. I am in the parking lot waiting for DC, who has a doctor’s appointment. I am slightly regretting not going in; it’s a new doctor, and I’m sure there’s lots of new-patient paperwork to be filled out that they might need help with. OTOH, I have not gotten any panicked texts, and the more adulting DC can do, the better. I feel a little bad because I went in with DD, but in that case, I was needed to pay. (We actually heard back regarding Medicaid for DD; they now want three more pieces of documentation. I wish they’d just reject her already, and we could buy insurance on the exchange. But they won’t let us do that while this process is going on.)

Anyhow, I am expecting to hear back soon from DC that they are done and ready to be picked up. Although maybe not that soon. This doctor’s office is at the local hospital, and there were three possible buildings it could be in, so we arrived extra early. Our first guess was right, so I imagine DC had plenty of time to fill out that paperwork. But it’s not been an hour yet from the start of the appointment.

The only other thing on my agenda for today (at least, out of the house) is ferrying DC to and from class. Yesterday, we went to see the production of Guys and Dolls at DH’s school. Always a fun time, and they always do a great job. They did not disappoint. Then we went for burgers afterwards, instead of our usual Sunday evening Chinese.

I don’t have my master list with me, so I’m not sure of everything that’s on it, but I know cleaning my nightstand is up there. I have started it, but I still have a way to go. It’s actually a small secretary desk, so there are shelves and cubbies to be cleaned, hence the multi-day project.

Hello, blessed and Cathy! I’m glad your mom is doing well enough to use your computer, blessed. And I’m sorry you don’t have better lighting for your needlework, Cathy. I hope Twins is out there getting all sorts of research done — or at least having a great time! Take care, everyone!

Good morning

Mystery - Thank you for the start today.

Our day got off to a better start than I expected. We didn't have any problems getting back into the school groove. Everyone knows what has to happen to meet the time requirements. No one was thrilled about it, but there wasn't any attitude, cross words or negative behavior.

Now it is time for me to join Mystery in being the free uber driver to take family member to medical appt. DH has appt with our family doctor at 10am. *POOF*

Home from DH doctor appointment. All went well. Three tests are scheduled over the next couple of weeks.

We stopped at the bank to get cash restocked and a quick stop at grocery store for bananas...which ended up costing over $50 because obviously we bought more than bananas. :D

A lifelong friend is missing. No one has seen him since yesterday morning when he left home driving his pickup. His wife unexpectedly died a couple months ago and doing life has been extra difficult for him since then. Silver alert has been issued.

DS17 has been offered another job. He is on his way to city to do a drug test today while HR does background check on him. They are also doing a check on any driving tickets received.....thankfully the EIGHT times he has been stopped and didn't receive a ticket won't show up. He doesn't expect to have any problems with any of the test or background checks. After all the employments requirement boxes are checked he should be ready to start tomorrow.

Lifelong friend has been found - 3 hours away in a small town in another state. He is safe. I love it when technology allows quick communication to solve these types of situations.
