"You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think." — A.A. Milne -I love this - I have always thought that of everyone here - you are amazing!!! I think you all are great!

"You don't need to learn how to trust yourself. You need to stop looking for evidence that you can't." I have to work on this.

"As soon as you trust yourself, you will know how to live." — Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

"Trust your instinct to the end, though you can render no reason." —

"Self-trust isn't a feeling you wait for — it's a practice you strengthen through decisions, follow-through, and learning from your results."

Mornin'
I've been up a while working on time knitting & music time after journaling.
Looking at reel mowers.
Cloudy outside here now.
Had a deviled egg for my bfast .

The gathering fell apart too many had other commitments in the sun p m time slot.
I saw that coming. I did try to warn them - they did not listen.

Happy Psalm Sunday!

A very thoughtful opening, blessed, and you sent me on a deeper dive into Viola Davis. She and James Patterson's new novel just came out days ago - Judge Stone. It sounds like my ddolder, so I think I'm going to get it for her.

Good morning, Nancy. Oh, too bad that the family event did end up cancelling. It's so hard to get folks together when everyone's so busy.

Study last night was meaningful, interesting. I took lots of notes. Service is soon.

I've spent an hour in the kitchen just organizing, putting away.

I'm wondering if we'll have any company today.

Also wondering if I'll get my act together enough to mail a card to a friend.

Good morning

Blessed - Thank you for sharing those quotes and utube. I loved them, especially....
You is kind
You is smart
You is important

We attended early church this morning and came home feeling blessed beyond measure.

I spent some time reviewing the previous pages in my hip pad. I made a small sticky note with April focus so I can move that sticky note from day-to-day.

New washer has been put on the front hose. We took the freeze cover off the faucet and connected the hose to use during the warm months.

I went to Walmart this morning. UGH! Lots of people in the food aisles just standing there talking to other people. Three carts and six people just blocking an entire aisle.

Any way... now I'm home and all the soda has been put away along with 4 loaves of bread for dh. They are $1 less per loaf there. I got the last bag of cat litter, so that made me happy. Now I have 4 bags to put away in the pantry and 2 cases of cat food. Dh helped.

It's 11 C here. I passed a guy riding a regular bicycle in shorts and a t shirt at the north end of our street. My neighbour was just getting on his motorcycle as I was pulling into our driveway.

Cats have been in and out all morning.

Dh is making ribs for supper tonight. I asked him to do this. He doesn't do much cooking but he can do ribs.

We went to next town where a lifelong friend has a food truck. I trust his high-quality ingredients and cooking. I brought home 4 meals for the 4 people in the house. When I arrived back home, I discovered one of DS17 friends had arrived while we were gone. Sorry. Not sorry. If I knew you would be here at lunchtime, then I would have purchased you a meal. Then teens can either share a meal, not eat, cook something or take themselves out to eat. I'm fine with any of those options.

Honey, I'm home! (Imagine Ricky Ricardo calling out)

Easy trip, was on the road before 10 I think and it was easy, i.e. familiar driving. I feel like I'm starting a re-entry here. Passover is this week and Easter next weekend?

I asked dh this morning to plan for our supper tonight and he has steak to grill thawing. My car is unloaded but I've not unpacked. I'm aiming for some relaxation today - I understand TN is playing basketball this afternoon - didn't know the results of the last few days although I knew they made it to Sweet Sixteen.

It's 64 degrees here and sunny. I need to get ferns for porch and catch up on springtime. We had that cold snap a couple of weeks ago then I hated to leave ferns under dh's care for the week. And dcleaning lady didn't come last week - I asked her not to because dh didn't want to bother. So we have a week and a half to go before she returns. I'll run the roomba tomorrow. It sure has been nice to just focus on research this last week and not think about household duties and dog and dh.

Raining a bit and 49* miserable weather here today. only up to 53* F today.
Pretending some one might show up and did a bit of tiding up after I finished the knitting project.
Made the bed after I got dressed and fixed my hair & put on lipstick.
Counter spiff happened.
Trash got rounded up.

I need to do a basement walk about and check for some thing I want to eat that may or may not be in the downstairs freezer.
If not there is always cup of soup.
Doubtful I'll walk outside might have to get on the stat bike.
Waving to everyone.
Sweeping the kitchen would not be out of the question.

Oh, Nancy, I definitely get that pretending someone will show up, to motivate. I saw ds' truck today - have a feeling that will be the extent of that, lol.

Twins', I definitely know that wet/cold weather 10 days or so ago. Yes, better to keep sheltering the ferns than to wish you did.

Also, that weather was the fun subject of a homemade video made by the little plant nursery I'm worried about near us. Cheery music and happy folks working together there in a bit of a rush and a lot of giggles, to get plants moved, covered, etc. I sent it to dd27 after watching it several times myself, lol. They know how to get you nostalgic and heart-warmed for the place, rugged old outdoor tables and benches waiting for the plants to come back. Hoping they can coexist a little longer at least with the big development coming. HRH asked - wonder if they have a deal in which they are not completely gone ... .. they did some hiring for the summer as usual.

Cathy, I don't care if they talk to each other as long as there's no one I know who expects to have some long conversation with ME. On the other hand, it's always sort of sad to see so many people but no one you have ever seen before.

Have had an informative struggle with bras. Again. :| The bane of existence may well be the ill-fitting bra. Anyway, there is a return to be made, of course. In one minimal success, however, ONE (count 'em one) bra in the entire world is acceptable and so I've ordered a second in another color. (not such a great success that I'm willing to commit more than that)

waving to all of you - I miss being here during the day - dd older and I spoke that I have to leave mom even though she is just sitting with helpers - they are all kind - but do a lot of tv/phone on their own.
I think my preschool years take make me want to enrich mom's days.
