Choices to make.
Wondering if I can learn an electric mower and if they are reliable enough yet.
Will be looking and hoping to find what is in stock. I like easy start ones that you do not have to pull a cord to get em going.
Some mowers only need a handle put on and can be used out of the box. Then the next day I think I want to learn about other options.
Glad dson likes looking and talking about them.
My old one 10-15 ish years old was given to me is literally falling apart in several places.

LOL, Nancy, I just put out the trash here! Dh is working out at 8 a.m. on Tu-Th now, so I needed to get it out in case they came early.
Partial PODA - what's on my mind right now:
-need to order groceries
-get documentation and narrative in order for DAR to send info back. I'm disheartened over spending more time on this.
-HOA check into mail
-possibly get baskets of ferns?
-possibly creative/stamping time
Dh is out tonight but will be in his chair all day today probably.
Going upstairs now to print that check so I can mail it. (Social committee gal sent me request maybe Monday 23 March, I responded that I was out of town and would have to do it this week, she texted again on Saturday asking if I had it so she could drop it off. She doesn't check her email at all, I suspect.)

The teens are successfully launched for a few hours away from home.
We took the trash to the road around 10pm last night. The trash truck keeps coming earlier which has caused us to miss trash pickup two times. They start working at 7am and we are one of their first pickups. If the crew is all there then they start earlier than 7am.
Nancy - good luck finding the mower that is right for you. Someone gave me a electric lawnmower and I used it about 10 minutes before I knew it wasn't for me. I'm not dragging an electrical cord around. I switched from gas powered to battery mower in 2017 and haven't regretted it for one moment. Battery mower is so simple to operate with no gas/oil needed. I order mine from A-river and it was delivered to the house for free.
LucyLee - Congratulations to your DGS!
When i picked DD14 up from school yesterday, I asked her the typical "Do you have anything to give me, tell me or show me?" question which prompted her to groan. She isn't enthused about participating any type of activity/event that is competitive. Her teachers talked her into participating in state academic meet this Thursday. The schools still gather at central location (about 1.5 hours away from us). But it is different than typical academic competition because this time the students are given 150 questions to answer on paper with a time limit. I suspect DD14 will excel in this type setting because she doesn't have to press the button and be in the spotlight to vocally answer question.
DS17 has appointment with surgeon today at 1pm to get 2nd opinion. Our family doctor thinks the paladin cyst will keep reoccurring unless DS17 has surgery. After that appointment we will pick up a prescription for DH that is ready at the pharmacy.

We had a massive thunderstorm overnight. It has been raining on and off this morning. We had planned on going to the landfill today, and dh says he had planned on working outside today. Now we have decided to go tomorrow.
Dh is having trouble remembering his water pill in the mornings and has asked me to get him a small case to put the daily pill in, so I will go to the dollar store when I go get milk later this morning. Both stores are in the same parking lot.
Other than a few pots, there are no other dishes to do. I want to get those done today.
I also need to do all 3 litter boxes.
Bathroom garbage needs to be emptied. Kitchen garbage is only half full, so it can wait until tomorrow.
My dad had an electric lawnmower that I used in the very early '70's. He was never happy when I ran over the cord. The he got a gas one, which didn't last long. Then he went back to the electric ones.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.
Several of our neighbors have a battery lawnmower. It's enough to mow their small yards, it isn't stinky, and it's not noisy. I highly recommend, but we have a yard service do ours. Dh was actually born in Miami, he says they grow concrete there, not grass. It's not his thing to maintain but he likes a green healthy stand of grass nicely maintained.
I got the check to the mailbox, bed made, kitchen acceptable considering I haven't had brunch. I have the roomba going on then porch. It will need frequently emptying because it doesn't have access to the base, and the pollen out there is thick enough to leave footprints....

Laundry load today was my own clothes, now drip-drying after just a dryer fluff

Healthy breakfast with multiple strong grains and seeds, a little fruit
helping HRH try to understand our DMV, whose bill evidently crossed in the mail or something - website says they were paid.
Enlarged part of a coloring book simple image for a quilting design - really proud of that, now to get it onto fabric... .. hmmm...
Next Up:
Gather trash from around the house (open new box of medium trash bags - feeling OPIONATED on that, may rant later)
Break down several boxes for recycling
Fill out online forms for minor surgery center
Tuesday lets me start what I couldn't yesterday.

Interrupted by a phone call about upcoming minor surgery. Had to explain AGAIN that "it doesn't matter how many times you have texted that number, because you are trying to text a land line. No... .. no, you can't text that number later, because it will still be a land line, won't it?"
This is evidently a very difficult concept.
I have went back to bed after s2s and slept on my clean sheets already today! LOL!
Other sheets are in the dryer & duds load is going now.
It is a pain with the maintenance on gas mower but they do not run out of fuel in the middle of a mow.
The battery powered mowers I've seen in use battery goes k-put after and a new one my neighbor on a walking route had
issue with right after she got it, the one a couple houses down no longer use theirs. I do like that they are quiet. But boy are
they way more costly.
We used to have one you wound up to start no jerking on the cord!
I've ran over a corded mower power cord.
Battery mowers are not good in the wet & rainy weather how ever for the Pacific North West.
Availability is an issue with gas mowers according to some.
Walked early before rain that's in the forecast.
Had to use a lined hoodie and gloves.
Time to filp laundry. xx Last load in the washer now.
Got the mail and can is back from the road and rebooted again for next week with pruned stuff from last week.
Lunch is cooking.
Snow is in the forecast for the mtns. and higher elevations around us here this week too.

I shifted our first 2 meals to be an hour earlier today because of the appointments. We have tried eating out again recently but always feel the food is not as tasty and less quality than eating at home. Sometimes it is a PITB to not like eating out!
DS52 called last night to chat and catch us up on their doings. DGS19 spent last week in Florida on his first spring break as a college student. DS52 spent last week in Los Vegas on his first conference with new employer. Their horse stable has an over abundance of kittens being born in the main barn. With over 60 horses the kittens have to learn quickly how to stay out of their way. DGD15 has named her car Tina.
88/64F is our temp today so we are still running about 20 degrees warmer than average. The wind is gusty around 25mph. Someone forgot to tell the weather pattern that March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb.

Good... noonish! Not much done yet today. Got a recipe programmed into the WW app (oh, it's such a pain! but I'm getting better at it) before taking DC to school. Stopped and got gas on the way home and filled my tires once I got home. Came in and came here. Then decided I was peckish and made lunch: Caesar salad (from a kit) with diced chicken added. And a protein shake. I will be glad when I figure out how to get enough protein in my diet without protein shakes. They're getting old.
Yesterday evening was an adventure. I did get the grocery list done, and DH said he would shop it rather than me placing an order. He decided he would first go to the little grocery to see what he could get at a good price, and he did get a fair bit, but then he decided he'd rather rest and have dinner before going to the big grocery. So he and DD got a somewhat late start to the grocery store, and I went down to get a late start on the wash. While I was down there, I got a call from DD asking if DH had left his phone behind. Sure enough, he had -- with the credit card to get the groceries in its back wallet, so he left DD there to start shopping while he came home after his phone. Just before he got home, I got a text from DC -- their theater club rehearsal had ended early, and they were ready to be picked up. So I rode with DH and dropped him back off at the store, then picked up DC and took them home, then went back to the store for DD, DH, and the groceries. (DH's car won't fit a load of groceries, and I'm uncomfortable driving it, hence the need for jockeying the one car around.) By the time everyone was home, it was about 10, and past 10:30, I think, once everything was unloaded. We were all sufficiently wound up that we ended up watching the ballgame, which had started at 10, through to the end. Oof! This evening should be much less eventful, though DC does have a Gamers' Guild meeting after class and anticipates wanting a ride home, oh, about dinnertime.

Envying your few dishes, Cathy. Here, Mt. Dishmore is looking more like Mt. Everest -- I've got all of yesterday's dishes and dinner dishes from the day before to do.
SMH over the landline trouble, Harriet. I remember when DC was in middle school, one of her friends' moms thought I was ignoring her regarding setting up a playdate, and I thought she was blowing me off, because I wasn't answering her texts to my landline. Fortunately the software that my doctors use allows one very easily to specify which number is the preferred one and whether it is a landline or a cellphone.
Lunch is eaten. Next up is to clean it up, then to do my exercises, and then to start wash (which I think means first finishing the wash I barely got started before last evening's adventures. Have a great day, everybody!
