Springtime Saturday PWYC

Post by Twins' Mom »

It's full-on spring, even if the high here today is to be in the low eighties. The humidity is low, the day is sunny, trees all leafing out and the pollen is heavy, lol.

Enjoy this day and the progression of the seasons and get some extra Vitamin D by spending a little time outdoors!

Twins thanks for the start today.
LucyL. you can take a week of from SS teaching b/c of illness in the family that you do not want to "share".

I have slept in until six.
It rained and am so glad I mowed before that.
Moved the empty mower box that tweaked my back so glad it's better today!
I'll move one tote 4" tall out of the potting shed and the mower can stay in there during the week.
We have sun coming I hope. 50*/65* today's temps.
I got hefty pruners instead of plants yesterday. Cannot figure out where that plants might go, with out
digging some out anyway.

Had coffee wrote out my journal stuff.
Wet tasks OMM sheets to wash duds;
also, bathe ddoggo, s2s me & rinse out my hair mop.

Got a coloring book for adults and it's on the theme of books looking forward to that,
also a dot grid journal thinking I can do the assignments from the book I just read in it.
Time will tell.

Knitting & crochet as a reward on my breaks is my plan.

Meals today's options;
muffin bfast with egg to cook in my new pan.
soup
chicken wraps

Last load is in the dryer.
Duds are folded and put away now yea!

Waving to everyone have a great day!

Good morning

Hoping lucylee's dgs can get well soon.

Direct TV is something I know very little about but that purchase of large equipment by the homeowner for installation work? sounds like an off-base idea.

I can't plan my day well without input from these children of mine. Sigh. Mostly dd27.

Haven't yet heard from dd27 and may be counting chickens that won't hatch to think she can come. These days, even when she does come it's very brief.

Don't know which day ds' family returns home. They left on Friday of last week but then one would think they don't need to return and lose the weekend days there. Not sure.

Like Nancy, I have some stitching on the radar, and yes, something of a reward.

Hi!

I've spent a good part of the morning stitching black on black in the bright sunshine coming through my east windows in the kitchen.

Right now I've got the washer doing bedsheets and the dryer is un-wrinkling some stuff from the top of the dresser.

Dh is watching golf. He's been up for less than 30 minutes.

RamblinRose if you are around, pop in and let us know how things are going at your house. How are those baby birds?

I was very happy to see LucyLee posting early this morning.

Cathy — LOL — it was late last night in my mind!

My stomach was bothering me more last night. I’m not worried about the stomach virus— I know my problem was the Subway sandwich and ice cream I ate earlier. That combination always sends me to the bathroom.

Today I may have Dgd here all day, but I’ve told her I don’t feel well and I’m going to try to get a little more sleep.

I really need to change the sheets today and if I get that done, I think I’ll count the day a success.
Tomorrow is another day.

lucylee, did I catch you? I guess not. HRH says don't listen to a person who, when she last had a satellite dish, only had it at the level of her kitchen window. (me) He says if Direct TV is your best option, you may truly have to buy something like that. However, he questions whether there might not be a competitor in your area to look into, OR someone local trying to sell their old rod for cheap.

Good morning

I was up late (for me 11pm is late) last night and then up again during the night (1am) with DH thinking it was time for him to get up and start his day. I got the coffee pot turned off and DH back in bed to sleep until 5am. DS17 and DGF16 were in an out of the house until around 2am. Today Fitbit AI health coach is telling me that I am doing a great job getting deep sleep during the time that I am asleep however I'm doing a lousy (my words) at getting enough sleep. Ya think?!

ANYway, I am starting my day feeling a little behind but determined to do my best.

I recently restarted the habit of walking first thing in the morning and rediscovered how much I enjoy spending time doing that. My energy level zooms up from that 15 minute walk outside.

I spent some time in the kitchen cutting and prepping fruit and vegetables for the day. Our first meal is usually multiple forms of dairy (cheese sticks, yogurts, cottage cheese) with fruit. Today our fruit choices were cuties, apples, bananas, grapes and strawberries. The strawberries were fresh from the garden that I harvested early this morning. While in the garden i also harvested some greens and onions to put in todays salad.

Crack Chicken Enchiladas is on the menu for today.

Slow start to the day here and I'm loving it. I think dh is going to watch the Masters today - we'll go to the river tomorrow and have dinner tomorrow night with friends V and A. Dh and I may go look at cars today for me - beginning to lean toward getting a new one after nine years with my Honda Pilot. And ten years with the Honda pilot before that one, lol.

Just finished my excellent omelet with filled with kale and mushrooms and a little cheese. Delicious!

My day has changed because dd27 called talking a mile a minute about a hundred things, mostly can she come tomorrow. I'd hoped she was going to say she could come today, but this is fine. She was telling about things she could do here for us, all very much appreciated, and that she also wanted to drop in on her nephews, but, in the midst of many, many things, she mentioned that she has about 20 houseplants now, thriving, and has started her outdoor plantings already. So, I got a word in edgewise and said that my dream would be to get to go to the plant nursery. Instantly she said yes, of course we will do that, too, we will go tomorrow.

Now, she has texted announcing that she has made even more plans and her sister ddolder wants to come, too. We'll even go out to eat first. I'm exhausted from following her train of thought but still very happy to look forward to a nice afternoon.

btw, I need to remember that she had things for me to tell in H and F. She is a whirlwind.

HRH is a little less excited than me, not because he wants to go out with women to a flower nursery, but because he's worried they won't protect me about my eye enough - pollen, sun, lifting, bending over are all potentially problematic. Also, he would love it if dsonil were coming, too, but he's not.

Aside - I have resurrected those orange over-your-glasses protective glasses for protection from screens (blue-light glasses, or something?) and am wearing them now at computer. It seems like less eye strain.

So, with the prospect of two dds passing through here tomorrow at the least, I need to get a move on with some kitchen and bathroom spiffing.
