Another quiet start to the day. Dh is sleeping. Cats insist that it's time for me to be up.

I have to empty the dishwasher and the dish rack.

I also have to sweep and mop some floors.

But first, a hot tea on this cold day. Temperature is currently around 0 C (32 F) according to weather info. Thankfully it's sunny outside.

It is chilly here this morning too. Supposed together to 60. Heat is off in house.

My PDA

Get money out of retirement accounts and pay and set up payments for month. It is now time for property taxes and long term care payments to come out. I dont think I get a paycheck anymore as I was a supplementary teacher and I ended April 3. I will get my PDF payment for the entire year in May and my SS begins in June and my pension comes first of month. I am just thankful market recovered but I expect it to go down today after the weekend shenanigans in Iran.

Go to the Y and begin summer mode,

Take pictures and give away and sell dog things

Sew up grad robes to take back to school

Dump and mix dirt to refill containers and plant strawberries

Go to a meeting at 5 and a tutor online at 6:30.

I will get up and dress for Y and make a protein smoothie and take my zepbound shot.

This is my prep for vacation week.

We have never been gone this long nearly 4 weeks.. I think the weather is spring like not much over 70 and traveling.over the ocean for 7 days it will be cool. You can pay to send out laundry but no public use of washers. I would pack for a week and wash twice. Hoping hotel in Barcelona has a Laundromat. I can wear things twice just need 14 pair underware. I will take leggings and jeans and 7 tops a couple of day dresses, 2 pair sandles, dress flats and pair of tennis shoes. Exercise shorts and t's and socks and PJs. 2 different cruises with different themes. Taking our king and queen costumes for red night, and a dressy dress and dh suit for dress up nights, we will just wear same thing for all dressy. 3 bathing suits for spa days and beach days. Will buy a new hoodie on trip. I will be laying out outfits this week and packing Friday. Our plan is 2 carry ons and 1 largechecked and 2 backpacks.

Need to get things straightened up for dcleaning lady, who will come today at ten instead of later in the week. Dh made a fire last night - evening was very clear and very comfortable temp, a couple of neighbors came over.

Today only dcleaning lady and my workout. I'm hoping to get to plant nursery after the workout - last week we had evening stuff so I couldn't/didn't take the time to go. And need to do prep for tomorrow night - maybe ten people total.

Good morning

I'm hopeful the hosting site is going to play nice today and our SHE village can stay operational.

Costume Lady - I'm enjoying hearing about your travel prep. Kathryn in Canada used to post here sharing her travel. I think she eventually cruised around the world. Not sure about that, but I know that she traveled extensively. She would journal about her travels and I loved reading her emails and pictures to see the world through her eyes.

Neil Diamond is filling our home with music this morning. I'm enjoying the lighthearted, energizing music that brings back many good memories.

DS17 and DD14 have been launched to work and school with no problems. Only FIVE WEEKS of school left. i am ready and eager for summer vacation to arrive.

Have been working on trash this morning.
Kitchen spif and a put-away of a delivery this morning.

I have pie-making on the agenda for today.
Also painting the back of the sign later.
Wonder if there's anything else I'd like to paint green outdoors... ..
Hopefully the cutting and splicing and connecting can be finished.
Extra laundry

After so much gardening work yesterday, my only TA DA last evening was some watering.

Breezed in here so easily, so a little concerned about LadyM's post. Hope there's no delay.

good morning! it froze here last night - the garden center has been selling summer annuals for the last 2 weeks - I feel bad for all those that purchased and planted those fragile annuals. They have been selling baskets the last month -

I think of you all with so much love and affection!!!!

I'm only having success about half the time when trying to post here. Maybe it is only affecting my little corner of the world. Hum....

We are having a beautiful day with bright sunshine. Last week we received 5.5" of rain. It was wonderful and resulted in the burn ban being lifted. The drought map is still showing us in extreme drought but maybe the next time they update the map we will be out of that status.
On the down side....all this rain has resulted in an abundance hatching of mosquitoes. **sigh***

Hello! Here I am at my usual crack of noon. (The good news is that I'm following my cards; the bad news is that I'm moving through them awfully slowly.) Had a realization when filling my pill box for the week last night that perhaps my difficulty in getting anything done this past week might have something to do with being out of my ADHD meds. Ya think? Of course I had my appointment with my psychiatrist, where he asked how I knew the meds were helping, at the beginning of last week. He put in the refill right away, but it has taken forever to process. The pills are supposed to be here today, and I have nowhere else to go, so I know I will be home to sign for them. For whatever reason (hospital system policy, I think), he can only prescribe the meds one month at a time. He prescribes three months worth, but as three monthly prescriptions. My kids' psychiatrist prescribes their ADHD meds three months at a time, so I know it can be done, which is why I think it must be a hospital policy -- the kids' psychiatrist is independent. At any rate, I'm waiting on my meds.

All the discussion of birds' nests has me thinking of the stupiddovenest subreddit. Or was it one of you that mentioned it? At any rate, all your birds' nests seem intelligently thought out compared to some of these.

Costumelady, am I understanding correctly that this is a transatlantic cruise? If so, I am in utter envy.

LadyM, is there anything planned for your DS' graduation?

What kind of pie, Harriet?

I am going to start the wash (next card). Wish me luck -- those pills can't come soon enough!
