Re: New Month Monday PWYC - Happy June!
Ohmigoodness, where AM I going to be putting my feet on this first day of the (rabbit-rabbit) month?
Twins' must either be home or seeing it on the horizon - film at eleven.
Hi, lucylee. Hoping dgd is happy in anticipation of camp
The Health and Fitness thread for June is bumped and other monthlies will be posted this a.m. I hope.
Yesterday I just had to nap at one point and was awakened by a call just after falling asleep, so then when I slept again, I was ruined and stayed down too long. So then the rest of the day wasn't handled as well, SO the night's sleep wasn't handled as well, yada, yada, yada. I really shouldn't eat after 7 or 8 , for instance, shouldn't drink then. I pop up in the night for the bathroom and then Tobias has expectations, and thoughts creep in and ... .. ya'll can imagine.
Oh well, Shake It Off!
I've made some notes on my continuing Round Robin thoughts for those original 6 spaces and added another (office) now that I need to rearrange some.
Next up -
dishes out of dishwasher, spiffing kitchen
check on plants - do they need water? what weather upcoming?
a healthy brunch
order some items online

Re: New Month Monday PWYC - Happy June!
Hi Twins' Mom!! Thank you for starting our new month and our new day!!
Dh was up early and said he wanted his coffee. I made it and went over to the couch and he was sleeping soundly, so I left him to stay sleeping. That was just before 7 and he's still sleeping.
I have been doing some quiet stuff. Mostly reading stuff online.
It's a gorgeous day here. Sky is blue without a cloud in sight.

That is one thing I do not miss is getting up then having to do quiet stuff till nine.
I've gotten out some of my summer clothing so happy to rediscover newer brighter colors in those for shirts.
I need to take out thermals out of the dresser to make room for the ones I unloaded.
Kitchen is reasonably clean.
I've taken out the trash did that first thing yea!
Dealt with some issues.
Have realized I set up two planners for the next part of the year and need to
re-situate them in to quarterly ones. Done!
Coffee has been drank.
I did my journal last evening.
Got out my new q.t. book a re-read.

I've not CUOPed on posts from the last couple of days but I got in yesterday about 7 p.m. We have a houseguest young couple that came in about an hour before I did, and dh had taken them out to dinner. I told him not to wait for me and I had eaten a very late lunch and snacked on the road anyway. They left about 30 minutes ago and I just walked the dog, dh had gone to chiropractor appointment.
I need to unpack, s2s, and do all kinds of other things and I'm getting a late start, and the HOA meeting (for which I did the prep before I left) is tonight.

Good morning
The hours are ticking by here one by one. The alternative is not my choice.
DH has needed some extra care so my focus has been on/off. He is doing great but continues to slowly slip away. I have to remain conscious of what he can and can't do. Just because he could do something yesterday doesn't mean he can do it today. But on the flip side, I want him to continue doing everything that he is able so I don't want to step in too soon and do it for him.
A lifelong friend stopped by this morning and chatted with DH while he was sitting outside having his coffee and fruit. Having friends stop by is a joy.
After spending countless hours (weeks) looking for the 1099-R form I need to file 2025 taxes....I admitted defeat and went online to request a new copy. I had it in less than 10 minutes.
I may never find the original form. Who knows it could have been tossed in the trash by mistake. I'm not particularly pleased with myself in continuing to look for it. That was a unnecessary & stressful way to deal with tax prep IMHO. Why didn't I listen to wise advice and just get a new copy weeks ago?
ANYWAY, I can now proceed with getting taxes done. I'll contact CPA today.

Friend who is gardening here was here this morning.
I offered to make dh his coffee before I went to stitching group this morning and he said no, he was going to skip today.
I had enough leftover bbq'ed chicken to have for my lunch.

Re: New Month Monday PWYC - Happy June!
We have walked. steps are not as good as I'd hoped we would have done.
Need to do the basement steps to increase my count.
Working on seasonal clothing swap out about half way done with that.
I have had my brunch.
Did another round on that. sigh seems slow going.
Got the winter stuff sorted and off the workspace aka bed.
Summer ones are sorted and about half are put away.
Decisions decisions...
Got my planner so I could astuclly use it and the other one is put away now. xx
On our walk two points of interest.
Neighbors had roof work started.
others on the route we took had tree trimmers there working.

Up early took care of pups, been to class, made everyone their breakfast. Did morning routines and picked up foot prints. Having a puppy is like having a toddler there are toys everywhere. I pick them, put some way and they still get pulled out.
Dr wants Sweetie to work on puzzles to increase his brain activities. I have some on my iPad but knew from teaching he would need to see and feel the puzzle pieces, Bough some children ones at the dollar store and the first one ha 24 pieces. He couldn’t begin to do it. I understand what is happening in his brain… thanks to my teaching… so I broke the process down into little steps.
Sweetie has had a couple of slow days, just wandering in the house or sitting outside for a while. He tried to tell me about it, but I told him I was already aware of what is going on

Re: New Month Monday PWYC - Happy June!
Good mornternoon! Belated happy birthday wishes to Harriet and to LadyM's DD15!
Friday evening, I went to dfriend K's daughter's dance recital. She is a senior and has been dancing with this school for 7 years. I did not realize she did ballet as well as contemporary dance and hip hop. So between those three areas and her senior solo, we got to see a good bit of her, though it was a very long program -- about 2 dozen numbers. All sorts of classes in addition to those K's daughter was taking, including musical theater, tap, and jazz.
Saturday we had livestream, after which there was the opening night cookout for our beach club. So I spent the early part of the day making cookies to take (and finishing listening to my book club book), then we went to church for the livestream, then came back and went to opening night. I am envious of those who can talk to others easily, but I still managed a few conversations.
Sunday, we had book club at brunch -- I was able to accommodate the schedule change because we'd been to Mass on Saturday. After brunch, all three of us (our fourth had pneumonia, poor thing) went together to a quilt shop on the other side of town where one of the women was picking up a new sewing machine, so it was a fun little adventure. They keep trying to get me into quilting. I do need to find a hobby, but I do not think that is it. I might pick up embroidery again. I learned that as a young child staying with my grandmother in the summer, but it has mostly gone by the wayside since I had kids.
Oops! Forgot to post this before I fell down a rabbit hole looking at/pricing craft supplies -- on our jaunt yesterday, the subject of our October girls' night came up. It's being hosted by the most excessively crafty mom of our group (think Martha Stewart, seriously), who is planning a "farmers' market" where we will each bring handmade items in enough quantity that each of us will get one of each of the others' items. (She at least was courteous enough to give us a few months' warning.) So it occurred to me that I could perhaps do a little embroidery project, say of the sort that can be done in a small hoop, and get those done in time. From pricing things out, I'll "only" need $75 worth of supplies.
This is the same woman who had us all buy paint-by-number kits for one month's gathering. Some folks actually finished theirs. I got such a backache from doing it (leaning in to squint at the numbers for the teeny-tiny areas of color) that I sent mine to the thrift store. Someone else can fill in colors 2-24. Sorry, rant over. I should go have lunch. It's getting late.
